Peace, quiet and restoration

A beautiful site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We loved our stay at Hincknowle and are looking to book again next year.
With only 9 pitches, the site is lovely and peaceful and we were able to choose our pitch, which had amazing views of the countryside. The toilet and showers are kept clean and the communal barn is such a bonus, our girls loved playing table tennis and darts, and it's a great place to relax with a drink.
Having use of the kitchen was brilliant, keeping our food cold in the fridge and being able to cook proper meals rather than using the camping stove all the time. The hosts, Matt & Freda, were very welcoming, our children enjoyed meeting their pigs and chickens and we enjoyed the cider and sausages we bought from them. They gave us great recommendations for days out, places to eat etc. They were always on hand if needed, without being too much.
This is a gem of a campsite with beautiful scenery and wildlife to spot, thoroughly enjoyed by us all.
Absolutely brilliant
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Wow, what a fantastic time we had, I stayed with my 5 grandchildren and daughter in law. We all absolutely loved it.
The pitches are large and level with beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful, friendly welcome with the added bonus to buy fresh eggs and sausages, not to mention the cider! The toilets and showers were extremely clean and modern, and removed any distant memories of old fashioned toilet blocks and dirty showers!
The great added bonus for us was the beautifully designed barn, with dining tables and chairs, a well equipped squeaky clean kitchen and darts and table tennis. The children had so much fun, they didn't want to leave.
We will certainly return and thank all at Hincknowle Cider Apple Farm camping for a thoroughly enjoyable time and creating a perfect camping experience.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 What a hidden delight this site turned out to be. Tranquil with beautiful views and an abundance of wildlife. We were impressed by the spaciousness of the pitches with thoughtful spacing between pitches, it truly felt as though you were alone in the rolling countryside. Thank you Frida and Matt, we will be returning!

Facilities clean and tidy, could possibly do with a couple more showers.
Pizza and cider night on Saturday was a real treat. We really enjoyed our stay.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 This is a great campsite and very peaceful, I would highly recommend a stay here. The owners are super friendly and helpful and they take great care and attention to cleanliness.
This is a great base for the area with so much to do and if you stay here over a weekend make sure you visit Bridport market, it very good with a huge variety of goods for sale.
My only criticism about the campsite was that it’s not clear where to report too on arrival, a small sign to explain may be useful.

Lovely peaceful walks around the farm. The large and well spaced pitches added to the sense of peace and quiet.
We had one wet day but the barn and kitchen facilities made this better than it would have been without.
The only thing that would make it better for us would be somewhere to re freeze ice packs.
We may well have found our new favourite campsite.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Great campsite with huge pitches, accommodating hosts who can sell local eggs, sausages and cider! Lovely clean facilities and access to a barn with table tennis, darts and board games. Would definitely recommend.

Very impressed with the barn that has full kitchen, fridge, table tennis and darts. The kids particularly liked the rope swing.
The toilets and hot showers were always clean and tidy. Ideal for couple and families. Thanks so much.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Lovely wild location, very peaceful and quiet with only a few pitches. Lovely and friendly hosts. Has great natural beauty with a nice woodland walk onsite and only a 15 minute drive to the beach. Pizza night on Saturday evenings which are very tasty and go well with the local ciders. Clean and simple facilities exactly what you would expect! Would highly recommend for a weekend camping trip! Will return 😁
Beautiful countryside site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 My favourite campsite. We have been here 4 times now. It is peaceful and beautiful, a small site with only 10 (ish) pitches, spread out across a huge field.
A lovely traditional barn on the site for guests to use, with a kitchen, tables and games.

The barn was particularly good with cooking facilities, table tennis, darts. Children really enjoyed that.
Would be helpful to have another toilet block. Could have done with a few more darts!🤣

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 We had a wonderful time at Hincknowle Cider Apple Farm Camping. Lots of space, very clean facilities, nice walks and lovely hosts. The pizza night was the cherry on the top. Highly recommend!
Brilliant campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Our second time at this campsite and won't be our last! The field is beautiful and the facilities are great- a big barn and kitchen if needed/if the weather is bad. There are limited pitches so it will never feel too busy. Water is always hot for the shower and facilities very clean. Pizza night pizzas were delicious! And the hosts are so friendly and helpful. Only comment to make is the pub down the road is currently closed, but not sure we would have gone anyway! (We enjoyed some good cider made with apples from the farm!)

Freida was very helpful and gave us a warm welcome. Attention to detail with fresh flowers and fairy lights in the main barn.
Will definitely return next spring.
Gorgeous little find Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 A gorgeous little farm with orchards, just a few quiet pitches and great facilities. It rained the second night we were there so we hung out in the barn playing darts...it's a game-changer to have that communal space.
Great for stargazing on a clear night and the loop walk around the farm is lovely.

There is a well equipped kitchen with cooker and fridge, and barn with tables and games, useful in wet weather.
A lovely 10 min walk across a field of sheep to the local pub which serves good food.
Stunning, quiet campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 We spent just one night at Hincknowle, on the way to Cornwall, but I wish we could have stayed longer.
The setting was stunning, set amongst the rolling hills of Dorset, with 360 views, and tonnes of space between pitches. The drive to Bridport was 10 minutes or less. The facilities included a converted barn with a fully functioning kitchen, ping pong table, plenty of seating and really clean showers/bathrooms.
The owners were really friendly and, noticing our daughter was quite smitten with their pigs, took her to say hello to them. Plus there was cider to buy from the apples grown on site.
If you're looking for the "wild camping" vibe, with all the comfort of great facilities, this is it!
