Excellent camp site, 10/10

Excellent location in Dartmoor, really good for kids with the river running through the park. The centrally located playground is perfect, clean facilities and good value with the electric hook up. Will definitely stay again. Can’t fault the park

Wonderful Facilities

We stayed with our adult daughter who is disabled. The disabled wet room was the best we have ever come across in years of staying at campsites in tents, camper vans and Motorhomes, so well thought out and spacious. The staff are kind and friendly and the park is in a beautiful location, with really well maintained, large well serviced pitches and spotless facilities.The chemical disposal was also very well thought out and clean. Great campsite lovely weekend

Great campsite, steps right down to the river which was great and the dogs loved, closest pub is a half hour walk and no alcohol is sold on site apart from that everything else was spot on

A family trip

We were given a warm welcome at reception and the kids had a blast. The site is very family friendly. We had a lovely stay for a couple of days, then a new family arrived and decided to park their grey van in front of their rather large set up. It pretty much blocked our view and was unsightly. It felt unfair considering that when we arrived, the warden made a big song a dance out of the fact that the spaces were too tight and that we may have to park our own vehicle in the car park. We made an effort to set up and park neatly in a way that was considerate to everyone else but wasn’t afforded the same consideration. The other thing I noticed was that the toilet paper was poor quality and thin and so it was difficult to pull it from the holder. For this reason there were bits of shredded toilet paper on the floors of the toilets. It’s a shame because it’s clear the staff do their best to keep the place clean.

Spotless and peaceful

Travelling with my two young children , on arrival they were straight to the park and making friends. We had a riverside electric pitch , overall pitch size was great you can hear the river flowing past in the backround. The facilities were immaculate and the family rooms were perfect for small groups like our to stay close and clean up, I would recommend this to couples, families and solo travellers alike the site has a lot to offer with easy access to bus routes and walks to local towns , spotless facilities and genuinely something for all, will definitely be coming back.

Lovely site

We really enjoyed our stay, each plot had lots of room and lots of empty space left for games etc. The stream was pretty and we enjoyed hearing it. It's a little difficult under foot as it's rocky, but we managed to have a paddle and swim. It's great value for money, the team were really friendly and there's good amenities. It's a shame the most local pub has closed, there is a town 6 mins drive but we would prefer to have walked somewhere, hence the slight mark down for location. That said, we would come back. I did read reviews about cleanliness before I booked, but all areas were cleaned regularly, obviously during busier periods, the showers can get grassy but generally, everyone cleaned after themselves.

Incredible stay, very kind and friendly owners

We had such an incredible stay at this campsite and can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, everyone was so kind, friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The campsite itself was spotless, with really clean facilities and everything was so well looked after. It’s clear that the owners and staff take great pride in keeping the site to such a high standard.

Peaceful relaxing break

Easy check in, Warm welcome. Guided to our pitch and given a good and informative brief of the site and facilities. Nice quiet spot with good facilities. will be visiting again..

Great stay!

We had a wonderful 3-night camping stay! The site was clean, peaceful, and well maintained, with excellent facilities and friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Was it worth the money?

A nice site but a bit pricey for what it there. Been on better sites for less. Whilst clean, the shower block could do with a bit of an update. Staff friendly and can't do enough for you.

Perfect for relaxing.

Lovely peaceful site. Staff very welcoming. The river was ideal for the dog to have a dip. Us humans also went in up to knees. Very refreshing in the very hot weather we had. The doggie field was great, places to sit in the shade. Highly recommend.

A really good site

The site is beautiful, and the shop, tho' small, has a good range to choose from. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and the location is great.

Riverside Return visit

Excellent Riverside plot, wonderful facilities, perfect for independent mature person. Moors, rivers, villages all round. Early July perfect!

Lovely Stay

Lovely large site with great facilities with the exception of the very basic on site shop, which sold only the basic essentials and tat. Opportunity to sell bbq things local produce and local alcoholic beverages should be considered.

We just wanted to mention that our shop does stock a range of local produce, including Dartmoor BBQ packs and Dartmoor ice cream, along with charcoal, BBQ essentials and a selection of camping items. As we are located less than two miles from Tavistock, we focus on stocking the basic items guests may have forgotten, rather than trying to replicate a larger shop. That said, we’re always happy to hear suggestions and regularly add new products based on customer feedback. We aren’t licensed to sell alcohol, but we appreciate your comments and will continue to review our shop offering.

Great location!

Excellent and charming

This site was wonderful, we only had a short trip, but I’m definitely planning to return. I had a few mishaps, like my car not starting and the wardens couldn’t do enough to help me. The staff are lovely, the site has a massive dog walk field opposite, and access to some brilliant walks all over Dartmoor. It is private and being on the river is a real treat! Will come again, thank you!

Amazing place!

Gorgeous setting

A lovely welcome by one of the wardens explaining all about their facilities. Such a pretty well kept campsite wish we had known about this place before will definitely be back can’t fault at all 👍👍

Camping at Harford Bridge

A lovely stay at Harford Bridge campsite. Pitch by the river which our pup enjoyed paddling in. Very friendly hosts and the entire site was well maintained and spotless. Shame about the weather but that can't be helped. Will be back very soon.

Motorhome visit on HELGA2. Pitch 16

Lovely well maintained site. Met by a very helpful ‘warden’ who gave us all the necessary info, including the walk up to the Peter Tavy which we did when the rain eventually stopped on Saturday evening. Pitch 16 next to the river was perfect. Beautiful setting. We would have explored more but the weather wasn’t the greatest. Showers and washing up facilities scrupulously clean. Everything has been thought of. Perfect. Will return soon.
