VW-Type Campervan - Electric Gravel PitchesJul 2026

A beautiful location that felt wild but was still close to Aberfoyle and the visitor center of Loch Lomond National Park. Very clean bathrooms, handy breakfast and coffee available on-site in the morning, and hiking trails accessible directly from the campground. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Lovely site in a great location

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

We booked Cobleland at very short notice when a booking elsewhere fell through. The booking process was seamless though the Campsites website and represented excellent value. We had previously passed the site when out walking and intended to visit at some point. We weren't disappointed, receiving a warm welcome on arrival. Pitch was fine (though it wasn't clear what marked it off from those neighbouring). We were in the wooded area above the main camping ground next to the river. Facilities were clean and easily accessed. My only minor issue was accessing the grey water disposal area. It would have been handy to have one further up the site. Lovely walks directly from the site are easily reached and we took advantage of this, including walking to and returning from Aberfoyle (around 40 minutes each way), and walking the way-marked Doon Hill route. Overall, I can happily recommend this site and confirm that we will definitely return.

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

Lovely campsite, so serene and the surroundings were beautiful. Lovely and clean and good ample space pitches. Will definitely be back. Only thing that was a tiny negative, and not at all the camp's fault, was dog mess that were left beside our caravan. We had our dog with us and it takes 2 seconds to lift the mess. On way out, we told the guy in the reception who was lovely and said its not been the 1st time and why do people just not clean up? He was so happy we had informed him and so are we, as we would have been mortified if they thought we had left it. Basically, for dog owners such as ourselves, just clean up as its brilliant to have such gorgeous camps to visit which welcomes our dogs. Thank you Cobleland, it was lovely and we will return 😊

Sadly overcrowded, as it is a lovely site

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

This campsite would be excellent if it had 25% less pitches. Honestly, I have never seen a campsite so packed in. They do not seem to follow the fire safety guidance of 6m between pitches, some set ups were less than 5ft. Given there were BBQs, wood burning stoves, it would be horrifying if a fire was to breakout. Such a shame as the staff were lovely, great location and excellent facilities. Clearly the priority is maximising profit over guest comfort and safety.

Not what we thought

Motorhome - Electric Gravel PitchesJul 2026

Let me start by saying if you are a camper or even a caravan user, this site will not disappoint you, as a couple with a motorhome with no kids a total disaster. We accepted this site as family friendly. We have stayed on many such sites in the UK but what we failed to foresee were kids on bikes screaming way into the late evening, riding past our pitch. Tents way to close to one another and indeed encroaching on our pitch. Loud partying until midnight. This was certainly not the quiet, relaxing site we expected as described on their listing. We did mention our concerns to the site owner who told us this was a family site so you need to accept some noise. Rather than argue we left early missing out on a further night.

Brilliant campsite

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

First time staying here but we,ll be back. We were up in the trees area, not the grassy area and the pitches were very generous and well spaced out. Nice and peaceful! Somehow the weather was excellent and this area supplied some welcome shade and a nice breeze through the trees. Excellent place for all areas of the trossachs to Loch Lomond. Staff very pleasant and keen that we were enjoying the place. Toilet and showers were in individual new hours and were spotless, very welcome! Plenty places to eat round about, try the Black Bull in Gartmore, lovely food and good big portions.

One night stay at cobleland

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesJun 2026

This is the best campsite I have stayed in. I was met with a friendly welcome from Oliver and shown to my large, well maintained pitch. The coffee van on site is lovely and a great addition. The bathrooms were always clean and the laundry facilities were great. It’s a quick drive from Aberfoyle which has a few cafes, gift shops and a coop. Would definitely recommend.

Superb site and staff

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

This site is great, the staff are so nice friendly and professional. The location is awesome giving access to the nearby village for great food and beer etc at The Black Bull, also nearby is the lovely Lemahamish Forest, we spent about three hours wandering there looking for red squirrels - sadly no shows that day but excellent nonetheless. The site itself is set on many levels, meaning no area feels crowded. The facilities are great too and very clean, the coffee hut on site is a great and welcome touch too. Overall, I can't say enough good things about the site, highly recommend.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesMay 2026

We found this campsite last minute and booked for two nights. It is in a beautiful tranquil location by the river and a few minutes drive from Aberfoyle. There was a cycling event on over the weekend so it had a great vibe. Our pitch was a really good size in a quiet location next to the shower and toilet block. Showers were great. Shower and toilet blocks were immaculate and never busy. There was also a great wash station and for drinking water. The staff were so friendly and helpful both upon arrival and departure. What a great find...we'll definitely be back!

I only stayed 3 night out of 4

Roof Tent - Meadow Non Electric Gravel PitchesMay 2026

The campsite was great. Aberfoyle was a great place to ride my bike. However on the 2nd night I had a family with a very young child that kept waking up crying. Kept me awake for ages. The 3rd night, a family having a birthday celebration talking and laughing well into the early hours meant I was again kept awake another night. I couldn't take another night of broken sleep! So I left a day earlier 😩

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

A lovely site which we used for a 2 night stop over returning from Skye. Overall, a good site but on our first night, it was noisy until 1am with a gathering in the glamping huts. Other than that, a great site and will return as a great location.

Roof Tent - Meadow Non Electric Gravel PitchesMay 2026

This was our first visit to here and we loved it nice walks to go on for our Labrador. The camp was well spaced and lovely at night with all the string lights to keep it bright. Quite from 10pm and we had a silent nights sleep. We will definitely be back
