Clear filters Fantastic holiday
Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 What a wonderful place surrounded by amazing walks and amazing towns within a short drive.
Upon booking, I didn't realise how much of an incline there would be on the pitch and this did cause some issues with things falling over and sleeping etc. We also felt that the toilet/block was too far away from the top field. There definitely needs to be some sort of toilet facilities at the top.
That we be the only thing we would change, staff are lovely and so accommodating and we would return if we could have a flatter pitch. It felt safe when leaving the tent and also safe for the children to play so all in all, a great site.
Weekend

Areas that could be improved. Cleanliness of toilets and showers. Possible additional toilet for Finch field.
We had a sloping pitch and managed, but any longer than a weekend, this could be annoying.
Great place for holiday
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Nice campsite with beaches and town near. The place was clean and had a lot to offer in terms of facilities.
We were camping, but there was café and shop on site if we didn't want to cook ourselves. Plenty to do for children too.
Camping electric hookup
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 As first timers to this site we were actually very pleasantly surprised by the whole setup and running of the site, well sign posted to where you needed to go to a pitch.
The staff are amazing no matter what the enquiry.
We loved it because we could take our dog, as she's part of the family and you can take dogs into the restaurant to eat or drink, so you were still involved with other patrons visiting and enjoying your stay. I would highly recommend this site to friends and family, we are coming back next year to stay longer.
Lovely family campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 We had a lovely stay at Widemouth Bay Caravan Park.
Positives - The swimming pool was lovely and refreshing and never too overcrowded. The park kept the children entertained and there were lots of big open green spaces for them to run around. We never really had to queue for the showers or toilets and the showers were always warm. The pitches were large and there was plenty of space to set up camp. The children enjoyed the entertainment and activities we chose to join in. The views from our plot were spectacular right over the bay with beautiful sunsets!
Negatives - most camping spots are on a slope so definitely requires some consideration when setting the tent up. Lots of mole hills too so the ground was very lumpy! The showers/toilets and swimming pool changing rooms could definitely have been kept cleaner, but they were by no means filthy. The restaurant food was quite nice, but the tables were almost always covered in crumbs and sticky! The evening entertainment would finish at about 11:30 which meant there would be quite a lot of noise and disturbance as people headed back to their tents and caravans.
Overall, we'd definitely go back, beautiful spot, lovely atmosphere and plenty to keep the kids entertained!
Family camp
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Check-in was easy.
The staff at the main block were lovely, clearly work very long hours but do so with a smile. Food & drink was reasonably priced. Shop was well stocked and again was reasonably priced.
Pool was good, the kids enjoyed it, remember to book. Good toilet block facilities. The only downside was the sloped pitch site.
Okay site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 The pitches are on a slope some more than other so be prepared.
There is only one shower/ toilet block for all the camping fields which isn't enough considering the number of camping fields. Check in was easy and fairly smooth but there is only one person to do the camping warden. Who does a really good job. We didn't use entertainment but it's included in price which is good.
Swimming pool is a bit small but the booking system is a good idea so it limits the numbers. If you don't mind the slopes or walking though 3 fields to use shower and toilet this camp site is very reasonable price.
It is in a good location for Widemouth, Bude beaches and all the other wonderful attractions around the area. Apart from the lack facilities and the possibility of getting a very sloping pitch the campsite.
Family holiday
Large Tent - Large Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Can't say thank you enough to the staff at Widemouth bay, the toilets and showers were clean.
The pitch was in very good condition and plenty of space. I would recommend the restaurant pizzas as they hit the spot just right.
The camp is just down the road from Widemouth Bay beach, good for body boarding and close enough to bude for shopping.
All in all I would recommend this campsite to anyone, well worth the money.
Excellent
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 Excellent in this price only thing if you are in a tent the toilet are too far away. But near beaches are excellent for surfing.
Well featured site for static caravans and tourers Large Tent - Large Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 Pitches for camping invariably on a slope and the pitch we were allocated - Kingfisher 32 - was particularly bad with a slope in two directions which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep.
All one's camping equipment such as tables and storage units are unstable being on a slope. For this reason, I cannot recommend this site and won't be visiting again.
There were also some very noisy campers nearby with music being played late into the night - 2.30am it stopped one night.
Good for families with children under 12
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 Excellent site for families with young children. Only obvious downside is that a number of tent pitches are on a slope.

Trailer Tent - Large Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 This place exceeded all our expectations for the money we paid.
Lovely site, very clean and well maintained, a lot of stuff for the children to do and very close to several great beaches. The manager/warden on the camping site was more than helpful, very informative and always around when needed.
We will definitely be returning, especially for that price. Thank you for a great weekend.
We did think it would be great if they hired put the buggies for visitors as we had pushchairs and a wheelchair, so getting from the club house to our camp was very difficult with all the hills but we managed and will keep this in mind for next time.
