Nice peaceful site. Walking distance (down a steep road) from the pub at Millers Dale. However, was £25 for one person in very small tent with no car. This was over twice the cost of comparable sites and then I had to pay £1 for a shower, which turned into £2 for the shower as the first shower did not function. Another site had free showers and another site was 40p for the shower. The bottom line, however, is I had a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
Such a beautiful, open site

What a wonderful site. Great views down the valley, quiet whilst we were there so lots of space around you, and a lovely greeting by staff in the farm shop (so friendly and helpful). Perfectly located for breath-taking walks from the campsite with a great pub (The Angler) just 15 mins walk along a beautiful river. To top it all… the sun shone :) We didn't get a chance to use the farm shop café but found the farm shop useful to replenish our supplies. There was not much choice of meat though but I presume it had been busy and stock was low… I was told they have a delivery on a Thursday. All in all, this is a fabulous site, with great views and a relaxed friendly vibe. We loved it and will definitely return again.
What a gem

A great campsite in a lovely idyllic location close to the lovely Tideswell village and not too far from Bakewell. Lovely views from our tent, we managed to secure a space overlooking the little valley. Staff are very welcoming and were always friendly throughout our stay. The farm shop on site had all you needed and had lovely local produce. We were lucky to have entertainment over the bank holiday which was a great addition. The facilities (toilets, showers and washing up) were good and weren't too busy. I can imagine these getting very busy if the weather was warmer and more campers onsite. The café and food inside the barn we did find a little overpriced. There were portaloos in the higher campsite, which were great, so we didn't always have to walk to the main facilities. However unfortunately, some inconsiderate campers left these unusable at times which was frustrating, understandably, this was not the campsite's fault. There were a lot of younger camp goers who didn't follow the campsites rules of no loud music and being respectful to other campers after 10.30pm and were up 'till all hours, which wasn't pleasant for most I imagine. My only suggestion here would be for the campsite to have a few walk arounds of the camp to check that rules are being adhered to. Overall we had a lovely time and would return. Thank you.

Just had a great stay at Beltonville, will definitely return as the location is great. Really friendly and helpful staff. It was great to have the cafe and shop onsite. Close to Monsall trail and good pub where we had lunch (Anglers Rest).

This site has a beautiful situation and is handy for a number of local villages and towns. There's a pub within walking distance as well as a bar on site. Breakfast at the café was good and reasonably priced. Our only issue was the cleanliness of the toilets. There was no loo roll in the temporary toilets from our arrival, to departure, and they were a bit smelly (we probably camped too close). The main toilet blocks were good until a number became unusable on our second day and didn't get cleaned until well into our 3rd. When we asked that the temporary toilets were cleaned, we were told it wasn't their job.

Great location in the Peaks and near the Monsal Trail. Good powerful showers and standard loos. The Cow Shed Barn serves hot/cold food and there is a great bar area too. Ideal if the weather isn't too great or you don't want to cook. Live music on some weekends. Small farm shop/ice creams available. Friendly and very helpful staff.
Excellent sums it up

We weren't sure what to expect from this campsite describing itself as 'back to basics'. Yes, it may not have EHU and yes, there isn't any demarcation between pitches, but it has everything else you may need. The free and easy feel in the camping field did take me back to camping days in times gone by but that just added to the enjoyment. Toilets, showers and washing up areas are all good and kept clean and tidy, even the extra portaloos at the far end of the upper camping field (where we stayed in our Campervan) were kept spotlessly clean. Friendly staff in the shop and cafe which provided food and drink and, as an added bonus, the Saturday night entertainment from Isaac Neilson was fantastic. All in all, Beltonville campsite had a lovely relaxed feel making our stay there one to remember.

Very good site - bit disappointing that you need a pound coin to use the showers though. Other than, that it was very very good. Clean, spacious and relaxing.
Great site and can be windy!

Great simple campsite. Clean toilets. More showers would always be welcome. Great café and food, coffees etc. You would not need to take and cook any food if you fancied a stress free stay. Great shop, lovely staff. Really close to a great pub and walks. My only suggestion would be to put mirrors on the trees opposite the site exit. Cars come around that bend quickly, maybe let them know here is an exit coming up.

I had a very pleasant stay here whilst backpacking along the Limestone Way. Shop staff were lovely. Be advised, the showers need pound coins to get them to work and there wasn't any hot water left when I went for a shower in the evening.

Location and views were great. Pub was nice. I felt that there were not enough toilets and showers and that one pound for a shower is too much. Have to wash pots on your knees and the site is too steep.
