Lovely site Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 The site was lovely. Really nice views of the sea and saw lots of seals on our morning walk with the dogs.
Perfect Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Perfect location, just north of Filey and south of Scarborough. There were plenty of toilets/showers so no queuing. They were always clean. Really enjoyed the band playing in the pub. The fish and chips were great. The only criticism I would have would be the shop was not very well stocked but it is only a quick drive to Tesco. Would deffo stay here again.
Surprisingly quiet! Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 We camped in a non-electric pitch at the top of the site. Arrived around 2pm on Friday of bank holiday weekend and managed to get a pitch overlooking the sea (be warned though this is also furthest from the toilets). Fabulous views across to Scarborough, and cd walk straight onto the cliff path to Filey or Cayton Bay.
The site was pretty full but also pretty quiet by around 11 at night which I was pleasantly surprised by. We only had contact with the receptionist on arrival who was very pleasant and helpful in directing us through the site. Shop is well-stocked and ok for price. We didn't use the pool or restaurant so can't comment. The toilets could have done with more regular cleaning but I appreciate on a packed weekend this might not be easy.
Would I go back? Personally, I prefer somewhere smaller and less busy and would sacrifice bar/restaurant/pool for a calmer vibe. But for groups with a mix of ages/needs this would be a great place for a meet-up and the location between Scarborough and Filey is perfect.
Worth the trip! Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Great place to stay, facilities were good enough, didn't attend the bar/food/chippy on site but they always looked busy which is obviously a good sign!
Managed to get a great spot, overlooking the sea, next to the waste bins and drinking water! The park was okay, maybe do with a few things for the more adventurous kids but, enough there for an hour or so. The pool was great tbh, we went in the morning and it was way too busy to take 3 kids under 6YO in there, be we then went back around 12/1pm and it was much more useable. Don't mind paying ÂŁ3 a head when you get a couple hours of play in there!
Facilities were clean enough, only once or twice that they seemed a bit untidy but, more so the people using them than the grounds/cleaning staff. Unfortunately, one of the 'family' rooms had flooded and this took majority of the day to sort and become useful again. However, the shower blocks/toilets are very useful even for taking 3 kids in with you.
All in all, a great stay! Would highly recommend 👍🏼
Avoid Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Family pitched next to me and my daughter, and every other word was effing and jeffing.
The pool/changing area is unclean with filth all over the floor. The pool attendants are disinterested, rocking back on chairs and chewing gum.
The toilet facilities are left in a unhygienic way.
Fantastic Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - All Weather Touring Super Pitches (Upper Area) Aug 2025 Lovely site good size pitches, shower facilities good size and always clean. Amazing chippy and amazing views highly recommend. We stayed for 6 nights but could have stayed longer.
Bus stop at the bottom of park every 20 mins.
Will 100% be back.
We had a fabulous two nights stay here Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 We had a fabulous two nights stay here. The location was amazing, the play park was excellent.
I would just recommend some gates so I could relax a bit more with my four year old running around. We stayed in the top field right near the sea and it was lovely and peaceful but towards the toilets, it was loaded with a lot of swearing going on, which wasn't great when taking my children down there on an evening to brush teeth before bed.
The facilities were ok. They were perfectly useable but could have done with been a bit cleaner. There was toilet paper all over the floor most of the time. They could do with a bit of a spruce up especially the family bathrooms. The swimming pool was nice. The kids loved it. Again the toilets could do with some TLC.
We didn't use the fish and chip shop but it smelt lovely and the shop looked well stocked. Most people stick to the speed limit round the camp but a few didn't so watch the kids. Filey is a 10 minute drive and we had a lovely day there on Saturday. Overall, we had a lovely time.
A great place to stay Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Had a lovely time with beautiful views from the grass tent pitches.
Facilities are all very clean and well maintained. Very welcoming staff within all parts of the site. For, me personally, looked a bit overcrowded in the static section but that's only my opinion as it was packed to the rafters with holiday makers.
Overall, an excellent site close to some lovely areas including Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough.
Great camping site for families Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Excellent camping site with all the facilities one would need in., all in one place..
Excellent views of the countryside or the sea, your choice.
Easily as good as Cornwall or Devon Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 What a hidden gem.
The park seemed to have secret pixies that turned up and efficiently dealt with stuff, cleaned the shower block and bar area and the bin areas. The only mark this place dropped was for having the drinking water points next to the plentiful bin points.
Hot water all day and all night in shower blocks. The shop and pool were cheaper than our local village shop and the chip shop was brilliant.
There was a loud group of sweary Geordies who seemed addicted to shouting about how drunk they were, but apart from that, this place and Scarborough and Whitby attractions were easily as good as Cornwall of Devon in the good weather.
The entertainment was good too and family friendly. There is an obvious labour of love gone into the clubhouse, with its rock and roll memorabilia theme. Also loads of multi channel Sky Sports screens.
If you don't like dogs, it could be a downer as it seems people all own about 3 each.
All in all, the best UK campsite we've been to.
If you haven't visited this area before, you would be blown away by this site as a base. If the weather is bad don't pick the very top part of the field for tents.
Good value family site Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Crows Nest was a fun family style camping experience.
The camping field is mostly sloping with some level areas, and has lovely views of the sea. The facilities such as swimming pool, playground, comprehensive on site shop and fish and chip shop make this a good base for a family holiday.
Expect lots of children playing and running around. If that's not your thing, you'd be better to look elsewhere.
Happy campers Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Had a fab couple of nights here!
The chippy is a must, really tasty. The couple of negatives were that our pitch was on a slight slope but we could have easily moved. Also, the pool would be much better if it offered adult only slots with it being on the small side. Great for the kids, not so great for adults wanting to swim!
Thank you Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 We stayed for 5 nights and we enjoyed it.
Campsite was clean, staff were friendly and the location was great.

All facilities well maintained. Perfect site for family's with the on site play area's.

Fantastic Stay at Crows Nest Caravan Park Recommends site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 We had a very good experience at Crows Nest Caravan Park and would happily return.
The site is peaceful, clean, and set in a beautiful natural location—perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle for a few days.
The pitches were well spaced and nicely maintained, giving us plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The atmosphere was quiet and calm, ideal for couples or families who appreciate a more laid-back camping vibe. Facilities were spotlessly clean, with reliable hot water in the showers and toilets. Everything was exactly as it should be for a comfortable camping trip.
Overall, Crows Nest Caravan Park offered exactly what we were looking for—peace, space, and a great place to unwind. Highly recommended!

Tent weekend Recommends site

We had a very nice time and would camp there again.
Fabulous Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 A group of us booked for Crows Nest over a weekend. The campsite looked great on the promotional photos and we weren't disappointed with our first time here. Very clean and well looked after.
Great facilities for the kids (10 & 6), they spent most of their time on the large play area and made new friends. Felt a safe environment for the kids and they would love to return. Toilet and shower facilities were cleaned both days of the weekend we were there and were ample for a busy site. Pot washing facilities, accessible water. Lots of space on the campsite so you weren't close to others if you chose, great views of the sea. Had a nice walk along the cliff front accessible from the campsite.
Spent an hour in the pool, it is small if your an adult wanting to swim but perfect size for children with 3 slides, good, clean changing facilities. Onsite fish and chips were really lovely and not over-inflated pricing. Lots of bins available for waste.
Didn't take us long to drive to Filey from the campsite for the sandy beach. Good location overall and we will definitely be back.
Great site to stay Recommends site
Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 We stayed for four nights as a couple with our four year old grandson. The pitch was easy to find and was next to the playground and toilet block which was perfect.
Showers and washing up water was a perfect temperature and facilities were kept clean, even though the site was busy. Our grandson loved the indoor swimming pool, which was very warm. It was school holidays so lifeguards were on duty.
Limited entertainment was available in the bar area. There is a well stocked shop and a fish and chip hut. Bempton Cliffs is 15 mins drive away, a must for bird lovers. We saw Gannets and Puffins. Our preferred beach was Whitby, although the local beach in Filey is also good. A must visit is Whitby Abbey and Robin Hoods Bay.
There are no quality restaurant facilities close to the site so need to drive out. Thank you to the whole team who run this site with true professionalism.
