Shepherd's Hut - Long Lea View Shepherd's Hut Jun 2025 A lovely shepherd's hut on a stunning location.
The only unit on site so we were all alone which is just how we like it.
Plenty to do in the area if you like walking in beautiful locations.

A hidden gem
Shepherd's Hut - Long Lea View Shepherd's Hut Apr 2025 We really enjoyed our two night stay at the shepherd's hut. It is ideally located at the back of farm houses, giving privacy and beautiful views.
It was such a treat to wake up to cows in the next fields and be able to watch sheep giving birth to their lambs whilst sat in the sunshine with a bbq on.
The hut has lots of little extras you need, but don't always think about - wood for the fire pit, tea bags, sugar and milk as well as some tasty treats. The bed was so comfy and there is a handy little heater, if you need to take the chill off first thing.
Location wise it's just a ten min drive from Belper and less than 30 mins from Matlock.

Shepherd's Hut - Long Lea View Shepherd's Hut Feb 2025 We really enjoyed our visit to this cute shepherd's hut.
It was so peaceful and surrounded by such beautiful countryside. We love to do a lot of walking but had chosen to just hide away after quite a long few weeks. The hut had so many lovely touches and we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived.
The bed was really comfy and it was just so quiet. We have returned home relaxed and looking forward to booking this place again. This place is truly a hidden gem.

Weekend away
Shepherd's Hut - Long Lea View Shepherd's Hut Feb 2025 Didn't get to use any of the outside facilities because the weather was bad, but the inside was cosy and comfortable. We went for a relaxing rest and it was perfect for that.
The only problem we had was being elderly and having a disability, it was difficult getting from the car to hut with our luggage.
Cosy little hut
Shepherd's Hut - Long Lea View Shepherd's Hut Jan 2025 We stayed for 2 nights in the hut. The temperature was very cold outside and we were lovely and warm in the hut.
There was a local pub not far with great food! We also walked to the Windmill which is worth a visit. Will definitely be visiting again.

Shepherd's Hut - Long Lea View Shepherd's Hut Sep 2024 Our favourite part of our week was travelling around the Peak District. This place was incredible and had it all, we spent our first 30 minutes grinning and finding more amazing things to be excited about!

Amazing place to stay
Shepherd's Hut - Long Lea View Shepherd's Hut May 2024 What a find this shepherds hut was. The hut has everything you need and is immaculately clean. It's in a lovely, quiet location with great views over the countryside. The host has thought of everything that you may need, there is even an airfryer!! We ate at the local pub which was about a 10 minute walk from the hut. I would 100% recommend staying here and we will definitely be back.

The hut is decorated to a beautiful standard and the owners were really helpful and provide lots of extras to make it special. Will definitely come back.

Shepherd's Hut - Long Lea View Shepherd's Hut Oct 2023 Fantastic accommodation, everything you could want for a cosy weekend. The addition of the air fryer was a bonus too! Didn't use the outside seating because of the weather, but it was in a lovely space with fantastic views.
Our host Andrea was great. We were booked over the weekend of Storm Babet, and when we hadn't arrived by our expected arrival time, Andrea called to make sure we were okay and to offer to reschedule to a different weekend if it was unsafe for us to travel. She offered for us to keep in touch during our journey for if we got into difficulties, and also came up to see that we were okay once we arrived.

A great find

The sweet treats on arrival were delicious. We had a nice meal at the local pub that was recommended. Andrea was very helpful and a great host. We will definitely be coming back next year!

Only 5 minutes away from a lovely pub and a 10 minute drive away from shops if needed. Andrea was lovely and helped us when we needed. A beautiful place, will definitely be back!

The shepherd's hut was nice and clean and was very cosy! Even had Wi-Fi and Netflix. Definitely want to come back in the future!

Beautiful stay
Mar 2023 We had a beautiful stay at Long Lea View Shepherds hut. The surrounding views are stunning which really gave us the opportunity to kick back and relax. The hut had everything we needed to cook, chill out and toast marshmallows on the fire pit! Thank you so much. Will definitely recommend you to our friends.
