Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026

Good location central to all the local towns. Clean site, peaceful with reasonable park rules. Very large pitches, easy to find your spot. Plenty of information available which is brilliant as the site is self check in. Saw people throughout the day cleaning and emptying bins and maintaining toilets/showers. Couple of lovely ice cream farms nearby. Easy access to Buxton, Bakewell, and Matlock.

wonderful, great value

lovely site! we had a wonderful time. a few things to consider if youre fussy.... its quite tightly packed in if yiu prefer space away from other campers however we had pitches 29&30 which were on the far side and had the field and view infront of us so it was perfect. There are cows, sheep. donkeys and cockeral which I enjoyed hearing in the mornings and watching all day. toilets and showers are good. Kids loved the play area. Fab site and great value for money. definitely coming back as long as I get that pitch again!

Lovely overnight stop

Booked one night to try out a new awning. Was a lovely stay! Great facilities, peaceful, clean and quiet. Good sized pitches with country views. Walked into monyash in the evening and visited the donkey sanctuary next door. Definitely would recommend and as it’s close to home will visit for weekend short stays again!

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026

I had a great 4 nights staying here. It was my first experience of camping on my own. The Site Manager helped me put my tent up on arrival as well. He also appeared to help me take it down but I'd already managed it. It was peaceful, safe and in a great location of exploring lots things around me from walks/trails/dales, pubs, ice-cream, farms and local villages. Although it was self-service, there were staff around all the time - cleaning, tidying, working, gardening. I found it a super-friendly campsite and experience, and especially as a single female visiting. THANK YOU for making it special.

Great location apart from the noise of the busy road outside the site.

A shame really

Although the booking-in procedure, self check-in and location were all very good, what let the site down for us was the facilities. Even though it was quiet during our stay, there were insufficient toilets, (working) showers and washing up facilities. Unfortunately, it appeared to be severely lacking in investment. We enjoyed our stay due to the location and the weather, but were happy to get home so that we could make ourselves feel properly clean again.

Excellent value for money

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026

Great value for money, toilets and showers were clean. Pitches, unfortunately, had people in front of you and beside you, so felt a little over crowded. Liked the fact it was just a short walk to there other site with a pub which, luckily for us, was showing the England game and served great food.

Lovely campsite

This was a good location to get to the attractions nearby. The site got very busy during the weekend but there was still room for everyone. Plenty of good walking trails nearby.

Lovely campsite and very clean! This campsite is not the quietest as it is situated close to a busy A road that regularly has motorcycles driving on it at all hours. Of course this is not the campsites fault at all, just a note to be mindful if you are looking to stay somewhere tranquil with nature sounds only.

Lovely site

Had a great 2 night stay. Would have been tempted to book another night but didn’t have a freezer for ice packs. Lovely hike to Monyash and Arbor Low. Next day to Lathkill nature reserve from Over Haddon, absolutely beautiful nature reserve

Excellent

Excellent campsite, very clean toilets, pub in walking distance. Only downside is it's located on a busy 50mph road so there is noise from passing cars. Certainly not a dealbreaker.

Lovely bank holiday weekend

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026

This was a great little site for our first camping trip this year. Good location easy access, had everything we needed, although we had a non electric hookup and a onsite freezer to store ice packs would have been amazing. Will definitely come back here.

Ethel bagging fest started from here. Easy self serve check in. Plenty of parking at the closed pub for use before or after stay. The covered area there just in case of downpour would have been useful but weather was kind to us. Great little camp find.

Great campsite in peak district

Pleasant, well located site with functional and clean facilities. Well located for Buxton, Bakewell & Chatsworth. Royal Oak pub is good for food and easy access to cycle paths. We were 2 adults in a camper but site has a good playground for children. There is an excellent truck stop cafe just by the entrance that does great coffee and breakfast butties. Would recommend.
