Clear filters Great site, perfect start point for walking Recommends site
Apr 2025 Lovely site and perfect base for a solo camping trip to get some walking done in the Peaks. Very friendly staff, spotlessly clean and well laid out.
Very good campsite Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Medium Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Thanks for the 3 nights. The showers, toilets and washing up facilities were very good. It was also useful to have a fish and chip van on site!
Nice site Apr 2025 Nice site, very clean, very quiet on the site, but plenty of noise from the train station and road, which goes on through to late at night and then very early morning.
We were on a gravel pitch, which was large enough, but too much pressure on the jockey wheel when first manoeuvring on, sinks into the gravel. Privacy between pitches not very good, would say over priced for time of season, but we did have a good stay, not sure one I would recommend mainly due to price.
Great 1 night stay Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Apr 2025 Quick one night stopover, we are newbies and still getting to grips with our recently acquired vw campervan. Laneside has been the best site we have stopped on so far for facilities and cleanliness and with it being right in the middle of the Peak District, there is plenty to see and do.
We will definitely be back for a longer stay π
Lovely site Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Large Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) Apr 2025 A lovely site. It was spotless with friendly staff. Can't fault the site itself. Walkable to hope pubs. Just a shame it was next to a busy road.
Lovely friendly site in great location Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Apr 2025 All excellent! Really convenient location, close to station, walks and great pubs. Very clean and great showers and toilets.
Very friendly and well organised. Shop is well stocked and good value too.
Friendly family campsite Recommends site
Small Tent - Small Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Apr 2025 Friendly family campsite with clean facilities in a good location.
Enjoyed a two night stay during the Easter weekend. No problem with check in. Was directed to pitch. Facilities very clean. Had drinks and food vans arriving morning and night in communal area if you want to go a relax.
Everyone quiet after 10:30pm. Would come again with the children.
Amazing stay Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Large Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 We had a lovely stay at Laneside, we were welcomed on arrival without having to exit our vehicle.
We were directed to the water and escorted to our pitch. All the facilities were of a high standard, the staff members couldn't do enough to help and were always friendly.
The location is perfect with good local amenities and plenty of walking routes.
Fantastic site with excellent facilities Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Fantastic site with excellent facilities. Toilets & showers are very clean. If you have a dog there's even a dog wash. Mobile fish & chips, bar, & shop on site. Everyone friendly. Will definitely be back.
Excellent site we loved it! The only thing I would have changed is the traffic noise but just take earplugs.
Spring sunshine Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Large Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) Apr 2025 Just got back from a lovely stay at Laneside.
Great location in the Hope Valley easy stroll into the village then another 2 miles through the fields to Castleton. The site is excellent with a smart new toilet block and spotlessly clean.
We either walked or used the train (station is close by) for 3 days and managed to drain the battery on our van. No problem though as the site staff helped jump start the van with no complaints.
Wonderful site Recommends site
Apr 2025 Lovely, clean, well-kept site in a beautiful location. Very quiet.
Excellent facilities. Bus stop at the gate. 5 minute walk to Hope. 30 minute stroll to Castleton along a pleasant footpath. Plenty of walks close by. Cycle trails nearby.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Mar 2025 Only stayed for one night but will definitely return. Great location, fabulous site. Look forward to a longer stay in the near future.
3 nights! Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Great site, ideally located.
Awesome site in a great location Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Staff were brilliant and very helpful. This was our first time taking our 14 week old baby camping in the van and we had our 3 year old with us.
The facilities are nice and clean, showers are warm and the family washrooms are especially brilliant and very helpful.
The village of Hope is only a 5 minute walk for supplies and cafes/pubs etc.
There is a bus stop outside of the campsite and a train station is very close by. This site is the perfect base for exploring the local area.
We will definitely be staying again in the future π
Excellent stay Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Very pleasant site which is spotlessly clean and very well run. We would recommend this site to anyone.
You can easily walk into Hope and we actually walked into Castleton, which was only two miles along the riverside path.
Lovely campsite Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Mar 2025 Lovely campsite, clean with excellent facilities.
Pleasant staff member greeted us on arrival and took us to our pitch - E14 - which was by the river. Nice level pitch a little bit away from the toilets and showers. Short walk to the village with 2 pubs, we ate in the curry cabin, excellent food and you could bring your own drink too.
Walked along the river at the back of the Woodroffe Arms pub to Castleton, took about 30 mins. Castleton very nice, we ate in the George pub, food was lovely. We got the bus back to Hope and got off at the Traveller's Rest pub which was a 15 minute walk back to campsite, again, this was a nice pub.
Only small negative comment was a bit of heavy traffic noise from the main road in the very early hours of the morning.
Wonderful! Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Mar 2025 We had a lovely stay - a great first trip of 2025 with our campervan. Really friendly people.
On-site, lovely and quiet pitch; great showers! We appreciated being so close to Hope for the Soar and Deli. We also had a delicious meal at the Curry Cabin.
Super walks right on our doorstep - we'll be back!
Canβt wait to go back! Recommends site
Dec 2024 The only bad thing about this campsite was having to leave! Everything was great. Facilities clean and tidy and plentiful - great shop, laundrette, some of the best campsite showers I have ever used. People were so friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome.
The location is excellent for everything - bus routes, great walks, trains to go further afield. Hope village has everything you need for a relaxing weekend. Can't wait to go back in the summer! Thank you.
Last minute break Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Nov 2024 Booked the site last minute for a couple of days, I was walking in the area. On arrival I was met by a member who was very friendly and told me all about the site showing me to my pitch.
The facilities were well kept and clean. The shop on site was well stocked with pretty much everything you would need. Just a short walk away there's the small village with a couple of pubs, Indian restaurant, village store and coffee shop.
A 5 minutes walk to the train station which can take you to Manchester or Sheffield.
Lovely place and friendly helpful staff Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Nov 2024 Brilliant place. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back for a longer stay!
Fabulous all round Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Nov 2024 We sold our last caravan 6 years ago due to a change in my work. We bought our new van last week and wanted a stay away close to home to put our new van to the test. We chose Laneside in Hope for a 2 night stay and everything about it was fantastic.
The pre arrival procedure was faultless and the information given was brilliant. Fabulous large pitches on a beautiful site that runs beside the river, a country side setting about 15 minutes walk to the local town.
Amazing new toilet block and well equipped/stocked shop. Every member of staff was brilliant and very friendly. A definite 10/10 all round, will certainly be returning for a repeat visit soon.
Lovely location Recommends site
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 A lovely and quiet site, in a great location for getting out and about. Our pitch had a strong smell, but when mentioned to the site team it was dealt with. We will definitely be returning for more adventures.
Great campsite Recommends site
Oct 2024 An excellent campsite, with super helpful staff who went over and above.
The facilities were great, the location for Hope Valley is amazing, I highly recommend.
Lovely camp site. Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Excellent quiet camp site. Within easy walking distance of the villages of Hope and Castleton. Would definitely recommend Lane side and we will no doubt stay there again.
Lovely campsite in lovely location Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Large Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) Sep 2024 A lovely site, an easy 5 minute walk into Hope and a picturesque walk into Castleton.
We stayed in our campervan on an adult only pitch. The road is quite busy throughout the night, but would definitely recommend this site.
