VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2026

Lovely quiet site near the Shropshire hills. Exactly as described, spotlessly clean showers and toilets.

Site's response

We are a small quiet and peaceful adults only site set in the rolling Corvedale Hills. A brilliant base to explore and discover what the beautiful Shropshire Hills have to offer - stunning scenery, castles, museums, National Trust and English Heritage properties, miles of walking and cycling, independent eateries and shops, quaint market towns. Thank for leaving us such a great review especially the "spotlessly clean showers and toilets" bit - we do appreciate it.

Perfect site. Great facilities, very clean and tidy, peaceful and could listen to birds over morning cupa. Brian and Jane are very welcoming and a fountain of knowledge. If you like to get away from the hustle and bustle, like to listen and watch woodpeckers and robins this is the site for you.

Site's response

We are definitely a site a site to relax and unwind at or use as a base to visit quaint market towns or a selection of castles, explore the spectacular scenery of the beautiful Shropshire Hills.. Eat and drink at independent eateries and mooch round the independent shop. There is plenty to see and do in the area. The mature trees provide elements of privacy and shade as well as being home to a variety of birds - the bird song can be delightful. Thank you for the glowing review - we do appreciate it.

Tranquil and relaxing!

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2026

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Greenway. Brian and Jane were so helpful before and during our stay. The site was so peaceful and idyllic, surrounded by trees and happy little birds singing. The facilities were very clean and had nearly everything we could need. As fairly novice campers, the only thing that could have made it better was fridge access. But do not let that put you off as there is a freezer where you can store ice blocks to use in your own cool boxes to keep food/drinks cold day/night, so it really wasn't something which caused us any problems. The local area is stunning and the advice available for nearby pubs and things to do were great. We particularly enjoyed our evening meal at The Green Dragon in Little Stretton. Church Stretton is just a short drive away and is an absolute must if you stay at Greenway. Carding Mill Valley is a great place for a good walk and the National Trust café was lovely. We also visited Much Wenlock during our stay which was also beautiful. Thank you so much to Brian and Jane for making our stay so special.

Site's response

We are glad that you had a "fantastic stay" with us at our adults only touring and glamping site and found the site "tranquil and relaxing". We always keep spare ice blocks (marked with our name - Greenway) in the freezer so guests can rotate their ice blocks with ours to keep their food and drink cool day and night. There are many local independent pubs providing great lunches and evening meals or just for a drink. The local market towns have mainly independent shops to mooch round and offer a selection of places to eat and drink. The Shropshire Hills are beautiful whatever the time of year and provide an ever changing living landscape when driving, walking or cycling in the area. Thank you for leaving us such a fantastic review - we do appreciate you taking the time to do so.

VW-Type Campervan - Non-Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

Lovely quiet spot a few miles up the road from Ludlow. Dog friendly with a good circular walk from the site. Owners were very welcoming and everything was tip top.

Site's response

Ludlow - a medieval market town is about 9 miles from us and has a castle, river, museum, market (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) independent shops and eateries, a brewery and some amazingly beautiful buildings buildings. Those feeling energetic can also climb to the top of St Laurence's Church and see for miles and look over the top of the castle. The stained glass windows are spectacular and they have a coffee shop if you both are not feeling energic. The circular walk takes 30 - 45 minutes (depends on stiffiness of your dog(s) and is 5000 human steps. Dogs are welcome on our touring pitches and in 2 of the glamping pods at our quiet adults only site. Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a great review.

Another visit to this lovely peaceful site, the bird song is wonderful. Hosts very helpful and friendly as always.

Site's response

It is always nice to see guests returning to our peaceful adults only site The mature trees provide a safe haven for a variety of birds who provide a musical / bird song performance every day - it so lovely to just sit and relax outside and listen to the birdsong. In the evenings we get some lovely sunsets and spectacular starry skies and if you are up early enough some lovely sunrises too. Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a nice review - we do appreciate it.

Good facilities, clean and well maintained. Ice packs supplied and nice green space.

Site's response

We are a rural site with mature trees that provide an element of privacy, shade and a haven for the birds located in the rolling Corvedale Hills. We keep some of our ice blocks in the freezer so that they can be rotated with guests own blocks to help keep their items cool. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review - we do appreciate it especially the mention of the facilities being clean and well maintained..

Roof Tent - Non-Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Booked this campsite as a spur of the moment and it did not disappoint! We stayed in our roof tent and the lady came to greet us and showed us to a few spaces where we could pitch. The campsite is so lovely and clean, the shower cubicles are amazing as you get a shower, toilet and sink in one! Washing up facilities, recycling and they have a herb garden with lots of choices. We walked to Craven Arms which took 30 minutes walk along the main road which has fast moving traffic but it is relatively quiet. We also walked to the Apple Tree pub which is an hour's walk along the lane opposite to the campsite. An absolute little gem of a campsite and well worth £25 a night! We will be back again ☺️

Site's response

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We do try to give guests a choice of pitches so they can make the best of the gently sloping ground and views (although this may not always be possible due to the duration of other guests stays) this is easier with the non electric pitches. Craven Arms is about 2 miles away and we would not normally advocate using the public footpaths through fields and very quiet country roads as the B4368 can be busy at times and has a 60 mile and hour speed limit in places and no footpaths or street lights. Thank you for the high praise of our toilet and shower block we do appreciate it. We try to make our guests stay an easy relaxing break. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a great review. .

VW-Type Campervan - Non-Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

We had an amazing stay! The grounds are immaculate, and well laid out. Brian and Jane were extremely welcoming and helpful, with fantastic communication beforehand. They have thought about every little touch to make your stay more comfortable. Toilets and showers are a big thing for us. They were spotless over the whole weekend! Little things like towel rails in the showers were simple added touches that were so helpful. The site is so peaceful, yes there's a working farm next door but that's what being in the rural countryside brings. Sitting in the morning having our breakfast watching the red kites was wonderful. Having WiFi was an added bonus as our signal wasn't great. We will 100% stay again and recommend it to others. Best campsite we have stayed at!

Site's response

Once a booking is made we send out information on local taxi firms, pubs people like to eat at and things to do in the area as we know some people like to plan their trip well in advance others just refer to it when they are here. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay over the bank holiday weekend and found the facilities spotless throughout - being an adults only site does help with this and we do check them on a regular basis. The birdlife on site is varied and the bird song amazing to sit and listen to. Being surrounded by farm land red kites and buzzards regularly fly over us but never when I have my camera to hand. Thank you for such a fantastic review - we do really appreciate it and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Small Tent - Non-Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Owner went above and beyond when helping with a broken tent pole. Quiet location around 2 miles out of town.

Site's response

If any guests have an issue with their equipment or unit, we are here to help, or at least point them to where can help if we can't. Brian and I are are out and about on site several times a day, so just "grab" us or if we are not out and about please come to the wooded hut (outside office) or the house. We are a small rural site 2 miles outside of Craven Arms but are located in the beautiful Shropshire Hills midway between Ludlow and Church Stretton / Long Mynd / Carding Mill Valley. Thank you for leaving us such a great review - we do appreciate it.

Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Helpful owner on arrival, locating most level pitch for us. Amazing dawn chorus!

Site's response

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review - it is much appreciated. We are a gently sloping site and Brian is aware of the best pitches guests units and is always willing to help if required. We are a quiet and peaceful adults only site with lots of mature trees on site which provide privacy / screening /shade and also provides a haven for birds and wildlife. The dawn chorus is amazing throughout the day. Guests regularly see robins, blue tits, great tits, cold tits, chaffinch, bull finch, gold crest, green finch, long tail wag tails, mocking jay, song thrush, black birds, magpies, pigeons, pheasants and partridges. We also have a shy woodpecker and owls that are often heard but not seen. Buzzards and red kites regularly fly over the site. We are surrounded by the rolling Corvedale Hills part of the beautiful Shropshire Hills.

Camping Pod - Camping PodsMay 2026

Beautiful site with secluded pods. Pod was cosy and spotless. Lovely birdsong. Clean facilities. Well-looked after premises. Friendly welcome. Would come back. Thanks, Brian

Site's response

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in a standard glamping pod (has a 4ft double bed, kettle, plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery for 2 adults small fridge and heater. You need to bring your own bedding - sheet, pillows and duvet in covers or sleeping bags. Outside there is a bistro set and chimenea ) The bird song is glorious throughout the day and there is nothing nicer sitting outside with your morning brew listening to them or at night sitting by the fire in the chimenea watching the sun set and stars pop out . We look forward to seeing you again in the future Thank you for taking the tie to leave us such a lovely review - we do appreciate it.

A fabulous site, nice and quiet with everything you need. Brian was super helpful and explained everything. Definitely would stay here again. Thank you so much.

Site's response

Thank you for such a lovely review. Being a small independent adults only site - we do appreciate it. We aim to give our guests a relaxing stay with us and are always on hand to help with information on the local area and help with any issues guests have. Roof Tent - Non-Electric Grass PitchesOct 2025

Need to open pub about half a mile away. Quite a remote site, but very nice.

Site's response

We are an adult only rural site and it is advisable to have a car or bike with you unless you are a serious walker, however there are a couple of taxis that are used to dropping off and picking up from the site. The Craven Arms itself is approx. 2 miles away and it has a mainline station and buses for those not wishing to drive. There are several pubs within 4-5 miles of us, but only one of those is really walkable approx. 45 minutes. We keep suggesting that the farmer next door might like to diversify and open a pub and pizzeria, but we have had no luck so far.

Medium Tent - Non-Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

Great site in a perfect location. We had a gently shaded pitch surrounded by trees. There are lots of scenic walks from the site or within a 20 minute drive. Craven Arms is close by with a good selection of shops and places to eat and drink. Would recommend for short stays.

Site's response

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and would thank you for leaving us a review. We are an ideal base for exploring Shropshire on foot, bike or car. There is much to see (the scenery is magnificent) and discover/explore including several castles, quaint market towns like Ludlow, Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and Ironbridge to name a few. Plenty of National Trust and English Heritage properties in the area. Craven Arms has a mainline station which means easy access to Ludlow, Hereford in one direction and Church Stretton and Shrewsbury in the other.

Twin Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesSep 2025

Lovely, helpful, friendly owners and staff. Very well kept little site, with great facilities. Very clean showers with hot water all of the time. A quiet site for adults. nice pitches for tourers, some fully serviced hardstanding, more grass with electric hook up. Lovely camping pods. clean dishwashing sinks, a freezer for ice blocks. Recycling is encouraged. Something to note, the site has a septic tank so please do not use the blue toilet cleaner in your motorhome or caravan. There are no pubs within walking distance, but some lovely ones a short drive away. Craven arms is also a short drive away with a laundrette, local supermarket, an excellent Indian and pizza place, chippy and Chinese takeaways. All in all one of the nicest little sites we have stayed on.

Site's response

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for leaving us such a great review - it is appreciated. Craven Arms itself is a functional town with a main line station giving easy access to the medieval town of Ludlow, Hereford, Wales in one direction and Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and Manchester in the other. Ludlow and Church Stretton are about 9 miles in either direction if driving. Lovely country pubs can be found in Aston on Munslow, Ludlow, Little Stretton all serving good food and just a short drive from us.

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesSep 2025

Great large pitch, beautifully kept grounds and pitches. Loved the little pitches for off grid camping amongst the trees etc and the fact everyone is not in regimented lines. Facilities spotless every time I went over and Diane the cleaner is very friendly and does an amazing job. Both of the owners are great and very helpful. They work very hard to maintain the site and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for a very relaxing week despite the rain. Note there is no dog area on site apart from the site itself although large field up the lane which you can use to walk on leads. Found the discovery centre in Craven Arms has large meadows, good for exercising off lead.

Site's response

Thank you for taking the time to leaves us such a great review. We are located in the rolling Corvedale Hills midway between Church Stretton and Ludlow. We have easy access to Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth, Ironbridge and all it's museums, Shrewsbury and Hereford. The beautiful Shropshire Hills provide gorgeous and sometimes dramatic scenery with miles of walking and cycling. There are several Castles, National Trust and English heritage properties in the area. We have a lot of mature trees on site which break up the site, provide little hideaways for non electric tents, shade and are a haven for birds and wildlife. The bird song is glorious. There is a public footpath that runs alongside the side and goes through the fields behind us so caters for walks of various lengths including a half - three quarters of hour circular walk - just ask us for details. We are an ideal base for exploring and discovering quaint market towns, historic castles and properties, gorgeous scenery, independent eateries and shops. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us.

We love this campsite! The owners are welcoming and very friendly and will do their best to make sure your stay is a good experience. The site and facilities are kept very clean and it is the most peaceful place to stay. The location is excellent with Craven arms about a 5 minute drive away to buy groceries or to get a take away. There are many pubs just a few minutes drive away to get excellent meals and the nearby hills are amazing for walking and are absolutely beautiful! Thank you Brian and Jane for welcoming us to your lovely site, we will definitely return 😊

Site's response

Very pleased with our stay at this site the owners are very friendly and helpful.

Site's response

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are a quiet and peaceful adults only site where guests have the opportunity to sit by a chimenea or firepit and watch the sunset and the stars pop out. The glamping pods have their own chimenea and we have a small stock of smaller chimeneas or magnificent Firestorm that we lend out to the touring pitches. Being in an area with low light pollution the starry skies can be spectacular - with many a guest lucky enough to see a shooting star. Thank you for taking the time to leave us such lovely review - we do appreciate it.

Trailer Tent - Non-Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Lovely quiet site, easy access to railway station to visit surrounding towns, good train service. The site is beautiful, well spaced out pitches, great facilities, lots of information of places to visit roundabout. Lovely chilled break.

Site's response

We are about 2 miles from the station at Craven Arms which does have free parking or by walking through the fields and quiet country lanes we do not advocate walking on the B3468 for any distance. It is on the mainline between Cardiff and Manchester giving easy access to Ludlow and Herford in one direction and Church Stretton and Shrewsbury in the other - all popular with our guests. You can also access the more sedate Heart of Wales Line where some station names give the impression of being longer than the platform. Thank you for your lovely comments about the site and facilities - we do appreciate them.
