Peaceful and friendly owners

A lovely peaceful site with very welcoming and friendly owners. Plenty of space given for each pitch perfect for the kids. The amount of stars you can see are amazing.

Great homely campsite

a lovely welcome, lots of smiles and warmth from Linda and her husband. A perfect sized field with generously spaced sites, at ours we had our own water tap. The toilets and showers were immaculately clean, and the green/red available/non-available lights above them meant if you wanted a warm shower you could make sure you weren't wasting a trip by looking across at the lights. It felt very secure, high tech gates/barriers. Linda was kind enough to take my son Louis, 7, to see their chickens and even let him have 5 eggs (which were delicious). I love birds and wildlife and you felt right in it. Screeching owls in the night, kites soaring in the day. Loved it. Thanks Limda and hubby, wish we'd stayed longer!

Perfect

Couldn't have asked for more. Perfect beautiful place. So quiet and safe for the children. Toilet's and wash facilities were modern and clean. The owners are some of the soundest people I've ever met. I'm going back soon.

A truly wonderful site

We have just returned from our stay with Linda and Malcom, the most welcoming of hosts. They work extremely hard to keep the site clean, safe and a fun place to be. Linda treats the kids to trips the hens to collect eggs and Malcom is always on hand with a tool shed like Aladdin’s cave. Set in picturesque landscapes with the most beautiful sunsets, we had the most wonderful time. There is a strict no car rule which means once campers have unpacked, you can be assured that kids are safe to roam and play. We flew kites, rode bikes, played games and picked blackberries whilst being eyed up by some nosey cows. The facilities are exceptionally clean and there is plenty to do in the area for families. We loved it that much I have already booked my return stay. If you love being in nature and camping with likeminded people then this is the place for you. We will certainly be back !

Great site

We had a tent pitch and a camper van pitch. Lovely hosts, a very friendly site and excellent clean facilities. Will def return!

Lovely weekend stay

Beautiful location. Lovely welcoming couple running this site and communication was great. Only put 4* on facilities as not yet set up properly for wheelchairs, though my husband still managed- when disabled toilet & shower there then will be for us 5* on every aspect and we'll definitely want to come back. We felt safe, welcomed and had a fabulous weekend away. 💯 Would recommend to others

Thank you Linda and Malcom for being so welcoming and providing us a quiet pitch to spend our three nights. The birds were a constant backdrop to a wonderful peaceful few days. A special thanks for even providing an electric hob to cook on when we ran out of gas, very resourceful and kind. The facilities were great and the warm showers welcome after a day cycling. The surrounding countryside was idyllic and has left us with many lovely shared memories. Thanks again.

The absolute BEST camping experience

This was our first ever camping experience as a family and we couldn't have asked for a better campsite for this milestone. The site is set in a beautiful landscape with the most stunning views. The site is spotless - nothing out of place and very clean, well equipped facilities including hot showers, toilets, fridge and freezer and charging space in the hut. We came prepared for long nighttime walks to toilets a trek away and found that the compact nature of the site meant that no matter where you pitch, you are nice and close to all facilities. This made camping with our young children an absolute doddle. The site is brilliantly managed by the lovely owners who provide the warmest of welcomes and who brought out children to collect fresh eggs from the hens for their dinner. Thank you! If you are after entertainment, playgrounds, coffee shops and bars - this is not the site for you. But if you want to camp in a beautiful location, safe in the knowledge that your children can enjoy the outdoors without cars and dogs, this is the place for you. We will 100% be back.

Great place to stay

We had a lovely week at Spring Field dark skies campsite. Linda and Malcolm couldn’t do enough to help us. The site was very clean and in a good location to get to local places for days out.

Great little site

Peaceful place in the Shropshire hills.

Very quiet hilltop location with beautiful views over the Shropshire countryside. Facilities are very clean and well maintained. We loved our short stay here and will definitely return.

So good we booked an extra night

This is the best campsite we have been to. Here are a few things that made it so enjoyable: • stunning views • a small and well-maintained site • huge pitches • nice and flat pitches • each pitch has its own water tap (game changer !!) • clean and good quality showers and toilets • friendly and accommodating hosts! Linda was amazing - we were not sure if we would be able to make it due to a family matter and she was amazing and understanding • great location to explore beautiful Shropshire The only negative I have is that it has now ruined all future sites for us as this one will be hard to beat!!

Wonderful

This was a short notice single night stay in a small tent (backpacking/ hiking). Very straight forward to find the site and it was well sign posted. Even though I was only staying for 1 night, Linda was there to meet me on arrival and show me around the site. She also provided a handy information sheet. The site was extremely well maintained with excellent facilities. The toilets, showers and washing up areas were clean and tidy. The site certainly stands by its eco label with solar power and separate waste water/sewage disposal. The views of the Shropshire Hills are outstanding and the site was blissfully peaceful. A wonderful experience.

We love our campers who truly appreciate our way of providing peace and tranquility. We have been here nearly 35 years and always are in awe of the views.

Short but good stay

This Eco friendly site is set amongst magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. The facilities are good and all run using solar power. The owners are friendly, welcoming and efficient. Also within easy drive or slightly harder cycle of two or three large towns. Loads of bird sightings and the stars were magnificent.

First time campers

Great location and views for stargazing. Eco facilities are clean, well maintained and the site feels very safe. Linda & Malcolm are great hosts, very friendly and welcoming, the communal firepit is a great idea! As our first time away in a camper, it was a great introduction and we will gladly return.

Absolute gem!

Wow, what a gem! Such a lovely site - small but has everything you could want. Facilities were great and very, very clean. Linda, who came out to meet us when we arrived, was very helpful. We came for stargazing but unfortunately, the great British weather wasn't on our side. We will definitely return!

Nice views

A nice small campsite. Our host was very welcoming and helpful and recommended a very nice walk around the area. We enjoyed a fire at the large communal firepit - we were the only people using it that evening. Then we went to sleep listening to owls hooting.

Lovely campsite, great views and clean facilities

We had a brilliant stay at Spring Field Dark Sky Eco Campsite - super friendly welcome and really speedy check-in. We had a great pitch with a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. We hired a fire pit for both nights and everything we needed was provided - the fire pit made a very enjoyable and memorable stay. The campsite was easy to find and the facilities were really clean. In the evening we heard a tawny owl and had a great evening for star gazing. Great campsite, would definitely come again!
