Located in Snowdonia National Park, Nantcol Waterfalls is a unique campsite where you can pitch up just a stone's throw from a river and waterfalls. There are optional electric grass pitches for tents and tourers, plus waterside bell tents and luxury glamping pods. The site is home to scenic walking routes and you can swim, paddle or fish in the river and falls. Barmouth and sandy beaches are within a 20 minute drive too!

Amazing location, really clean and tidy, for a campsite it is peaceful no music is a massive bonus for myself. As a solo female camper the fact there is CCTV is a massive bonus, you can have WIFI and the facilities are really good, qualities and clean. The location is amazing and with little spots to camp I found a lovely peaceful pitch not far from the water. I will be returning.

Nothing could be faulted - the best campsite ever! Friendly and helpful receptionist greeted us to the site which was recently mown flat grassy and roomy. Delightful stream bounds one side with grassy banks and plenty of picnic tables. The site is in glorious wooded area, the trees are healthy and provide protection from winds, but open enough to experience those large skies. The facilities are first class - showers, washing rooms, dish washing sinks and laundry are modern and elegant. The water at the site comes from a bore hole and is plenty full and tasty. To top it all they have created walking trails to the Waterfalls and woods so access to the beauty of nature is right on your doorstep.

This is a superb campsite. Flat, great facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely small river (in which you can dip/ almost swim) passes through the site. Excellent marked walks from the campsite. Thoroughly recommend.

Site is very rocky. WIFI isn't great. Staff are great. Could do with a shop or chippy on site, would go a treat with a BBQ.

All 5* stunning campsite with fantastic views and access to beautiful walks. The only thing I'd say that would improve the facilities is a couple of hairdryers. I have showers in the evenings and going to bed with wet hair in a tent wasn't that great. Thanks for a great stay otherwise.

What an amazing find! Everything was perfect, but we especially fell in love with the location. We will be back regularly to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, peaceful walks and amazing waterfall pools. Thank you so much for a wonderful getaway.

Lovely really. Hidden gem in the valley with beautiful atmosphere and nature all round. Nice and flat. The icing on the cake would be loos and showers cleaned to a higher standard, and more often. That's all. I blame campers, not the staff.

We are so happy we chose to stay at Nantcol. The site was perfect from the stunning views, running water and waterfall trail. We took our dog who loved it too. The campsite is well equipped and we loved being tucked away, surrounded by nature. We loved having a campfire and getting cosy, and that Shell Island is just a short drive away to spend the day. We also liked the town pub called Victoria Inn. The staff at the reception were lovely and helpful too and checking out at 12pm is a great time to get breakfast and pack away. We can't wait to come back.

What a beautiful site, owners were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back! Had the best weekend. Facilities were great and finished to a high standard, absolutely spotless.

An absolutely stunning area, walks beautiful, reception lovely and friendly staff. Pitch a good size but for the amount of people there, not enough toilets and showers, unless we missed some! Only 6 ladies toilets and 2 showers with lots of people! Fire pit good but wood wouldn't burn and you have to carry fire pit, which was heavy and dirty. No music rule was a little annoying as there were some very unruly/noisy children and music could have drowned them out in the day! Good range of drinks and ice cream, we would definitely return as location was amazing, and all very clean and well kept

We had a lovely stay! The location was secure and very picturesque. I feel I should justify my 4*s. The location is lovely, phone signal is a bit tricky and did have an impact in navigation and organisation once at the site. The facilities were great, but the shower tokens were a bit of a faff. You get 5 minutes per token and then no water at all. With kids, this can be difficult. Apart from that, I can't recommend it enough. Great hosts who leave you to get settled in. Friendly camper environment, and the stream is a gorgeous setting.

Arrived to campsite later than planned (8pm) due to car breaking down on steep mountain road .Phoned campsite to inform them and was told no problem, they would wait to greet us. The access to the campsite is via some very narrow and winding roads but exceptionally beautiful, with streams and lambs running through. Caution is advised if you have a larger motorhome or caravan due to single track access and not many passing places. But don't let this put you off coming here as it all adds to the excitement of the holiday 😊 We were met by the owner, who was extremely pleasant and told us we could set up any where we liked. Nearer the stream is non electric and ideal for tents or motorhomes some areas have gravel hardstandings, but we have always preferred grass. Everywhere you look, the campsite is beautiful, with hills and trees and streams. It is very idyllic and as it was April, the lambs in the field behind our caravan were a delight to watch and hear. The toilets and showers were very clean and you pay 50p for a token that gets you 5 minutes of a lovely hot shower. There are washing up areas and a laundrette. The reception sells very basic items but you are only 3 miles from Harlech which has a biggish One Stop and Barmouth in the opposite direction has a Co-op for a larger shop. We originally booked for 3 nights, but managed to book an extra 6 nights before we came and we were so pleased we did as although we like to relax on our hols, we also like to travel and see some of the surrounding area. Snowdonia is amazingly beautiful and if you have never been before, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Me and my husband both agreed that it turned out to be in our top 3 of holidays we have taken since we started caravanning 4 years ago. We will definitely be back and are already planning to book for next year, and we have never been to the same campsite twice so that shows how highly we thought of this campsite and area.

Such a beautiful and peaceful campsite. Has four different walks straight from the site, all of which are amazing. Can go for a bit of cold water swimming in the waterfalls. Toilets and showers were working and clean, available 24/7. The owners are so kind and helpful. Thankyou for a wholesome weekend!
