Great campsite

Lovely rural campsite. We stayed here for a weekend with 2 children and 2 dogs. The pitches are large and the picnic table and campfire were very useful! All the pitches are private and spaced out lovely. The walk down to the beach was great too. The toilets and showers were clean, each cubicle with a toilet, sink and shower which is great to have but a small niggle that the shower makes everything wet in those rooms so the aim to get dry and dressed is more awkward but that's just a small niggle. Our kids loved the site and didn't want to leave. What would make this site great to perfect for us, would to have small little areas amongst the nature for little dens, tree houses or tire swings. Overall would recommend this site.

Well kept campsite in a beautiful location

Really enjoyed our stay, a very well kept campsite, and nicely laid out. The facilities were clean and in good order. Lovely location.

Positive experience

We were amazed at how spaced out and secluded the pitches were. It was great to have our own picnic bench and fire pit. The toilets were very clean and well kept, as was the campsite on the whole. The staff were friendly and there was lots of helpful information, as well as a charging point for phones in the information shed. The campsite is just a short drive from many lovely beaches, attractions and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again. Also, a nice novelty to see the lighthouse shining during the evenings.

Peaceful

Lovely small, quiet and simple campsite. It has the basics that you need. Easy self check in and loved the private camping spots. Only 14 pitches each with their own picnic table and fire pit. Beautiful sunsets and close to St Davids and other sightseeing spots. Fishbourne was not far away to stock up on the basic foods or for fish'n'chips. Enjoyed a walk in the evening to the local beach (only 1 mile away). Would definitely return when we visit the area again.

Private, quiet, nature camping

Super campsite. Loved the rewinding and graded site for sunset views and privacy. Firepit and wood that can be bought at campsite was important to us. The only let down was the limited dates for Preseli Ventures activities next door, including allocated dates seemingly changing for Lodge visitors. We booked partially for convenient access to these activities, so we were disappointed with this.

Hi Andrew, glad to hear you loved the layout of the campsite and enjoyed having a nice private space! Sorry to hear you struggled to get onto an activity - it is very quiet here in Pembrokeshire's off-season and so we do often need to add campers to existing groups from the lodge. As you pointed out, we also have to move activities around to work with the weather. This isn't ideal for you I know, but we feel it's better to be able to offer some activities off-season by grouping people together, than not be able to run at all! Hopefully you'll get to give it a go next time.

Beautiful and private

A beautiful campsite on the west coast of Pembrokeshire. 20 minutes from one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever been to and an excellent location to explore most of Pembrokeshire from The campsite itself is quiet and each pitch feels private and self enclosed, which makes the camping cosy and intimate Just next door is the excellent Preseli Venture, who offer all sorts of exciting activities (we tried Sea Kayaking along the coast), and a lovely little bar for quiet evenings. We had a great time and couldn't recommend this campsite more. We had a great time and will definitely be returning

Nice campsite

The location is beautiful and the green campsite very good. There are (I think) only 14 pitches, all in their own little spot surrounded by small trees/bushes, with paths leading you off to nearby water taps. Our site was pretty level, and they all have a table with benches and a fire pit provided. The fire pit has an adjustable wire grid to swing over to put your pan on - clever! It was quiet, safe, (no cars on site) and clean. Tents only and dogs allowed. Carrying everything from the car park was very arduous on arrival in the middle of a monsoon but wheelbarrows are provided and it IS very nice having the camping area car free. The walk to the beach from the site is lovely, and so is the beach. Lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. I would recommend this special campsite highly, but be aware that pitching and striking camp may be quite hard work! Loos and showers are in a converted container…it works well and they are kept clean - only thing, it is like a big wet room, so shower water pours through all the cubicles in an impressive and slightly startling way 😂

Lovely weekend stay

Although it was a wet weekend, we loved out stay at Preseli! The campsite was clean and felt safe with our young children. Loved the space between the pitches and the setting. Bathrooms clean and accessible at all times. Thank you, we will be back.

Excellent campsite

Very nice site offering an astounding view of nature and run by good people. I enjoyed the fact that, being remote from large roads, you can really rest with the sound of birds, winds, and so on. Highly recommended.

Peaceful, tranquil, spacious, natural and ideal

We arrived at the campsite later than we would have liked. Fortunately, we could self check in and locate our pitch with ease. Wheelbarrows provided worked perfectly. Facilities are clearly marked and easily accessible. Nice touch having a freezer and a charging station. Nice to hear the children playing and having fun in the field nearby, the noise didn't last long and the peace and quite resumed. Perfect site to get away and switch off from it all. We will definitely be returning!

Perfect weekend break

Great location, well kept field and nice, mown in pitches, so feels like you have your own area. Fire pit included was a big win. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Would definitely return.

Quiet, beautifully landscaped campsite

Beautiful, quiet campsite - large pitches with tables- a remote and slightly wild feeling to it. You can order breakfasts and other meals in advance and eat them outside at the dining area/bar of the linked eco-lodge/outdoor centre - the food was very good. The location was great, high up and near the coast, just above Abermawr a lovely bay with beautiful wooded walks to get down to it. Quite a good pub in Mathry, serving decent pub food a mile away.

Family camping

Family friendly. Quiet, secluded, spacious pitches. Finn was particularly helpful. Campfires allowed, which makes marshmallow toasting fun. Eco hut with hot food/ bar available if needed. Facilities are clean and hot showers available. Good location with lots to explore close by. Including a (nearly) secret beach with plenty of rock pools. . Definitely planning another stay.
