Great facilities

Lovely site, nice size pitch. Great wash facilities enclosed sink, wash basin and shower rooms. Lake was lovely. Really glad we hired Kayaks to appreciate the beauty and vastness of the lake and the wildlife.

Weekend stay

Lovely campsite, well spaced out pitches. The wash blocks were convenient for us and we never had to queue. Nice individual rooms for showering. Plenty of waste bins, nothing overflowing. Very clean and litter free grounds throughout the site. The lakeside bar, café and shop were a great bonus.

Fantastic location & friendly staff

A fantastic campsite in an absolutely brilliant location. Hills, a lake and loads of things to do and see. Shop has everything you want, café is nice, if a little dated and a pub within walking distance of the campsite. What's not to love?

Great little stops lots to do

We loved our stop at lakeside- lots of things to do on the lake - beautiful walks and horses to wake up too- pub and shop , great amenities clean and tidy! Has a very European vibe to it

Lovely site

Site was great, lake was stunning just a 5 minute walk away, seeing the wild horses roaming. The site could have done with a few more showers and toilets but apparently from that it was great

What a gem of a campsite!

We have just had a brilliant stay at this site. The location is fantastic - not only is it beautiful, it's right at the heart of the Brecon Beacons and so very convenient for accessing all the region has to offer. We had an enviable pitch in a quiet part of the campsite as requested: the setting was lovely, on a meadow surrounded by trees. There is no problem with noise anywhere though, and whilst we were there, the guests very much respected the campsite rules, so a good sleep could be had by all. There is so much to do on the site and in the immediate vicinity, with lots of water sports to choose from and horse-riding a stone's throw away. My kids loved petting the horses when they were turned out on the common adjacent to the site in the evenings. The Llangorse Multi-Activity centre is also just a few minutes in the car and they have an awesome indoor climbing centre. What more can I say? Great walks in lesser frequented parts of the area straight from the site (including iron-age fort with fab views), a café and bar/eatery if you have no energy left to cook afterwards! The shop is great and the staff friendly. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Lovely site

Lovely site, good facilities. The pub is also nice and serves delicious meals. The lake is breathtaking.

Brilliant stay

Amazing site. Quiet but homely. Toilets and showers clean. Lovely shop with everything you need. Didnt go on lake due to blue algea. But will be back. Plenty of walks within driving distance. Will be back. Thank you.

Area is perfect especially if you plan on climbing any of the mountains round here. Lake very nice food cheap enough. Recommended site. Will be back next time I want to climb pen y fan.

Would highly recommend!

It was my first time in Wales travelling from the midlands. Booked it just days before arriving, so was very happy to get a pitch that was available with a electric hook up, as I did my research to see which site I'd prefer for a base and this one definitely stood out for me! We wanted to visit Pen y Fan & The Four Waterfalls. It was the perfect location for a base and easy to get to and from this site. You will see continuous beautiful scenery around. Lakeside is very clean, the individual showers are really good with the toilets within the same space. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's great for dogs, with fields to walk through and say hi to the sheep whilst you pass through. And not to mention the beautiful lake. Seeing the horses coming onto the site was so lovely to see. It's certainly the site I will be returning in the near future and I've already recommended it to family and friends. It did not disappoint, thank you for a lovely stay and experience.

Wouldn’t stay again

We weren't allowed to paddle board due to the blue green algae, which we were told about the day before, which was a little disappointing but things happen, one of those things and no one's fault. But we were near 2 very large groups up both nights very loud until 3am at least, there was also an large amount of little spread by them blowing everywhere. Every time I went to the loos, there was either no soap or loo roll, or both. The shower was cold, low pressure and covered in mould. For £50 for two nights, was very poor.

Lovely campsite with very friendly and helpful staff in a picturesque area with loads to do all around you the facilities where lovely and clean exceeded expectations we will all definitely be coming back again and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of coming to wales

Nice stay but noisy in the evenings

A really nice campsite. Clean facilities and hot showers and water to wash. The shop near the site is very friendly, likewise the bar. A lot of large groups arrived with a full scale rugby match going on into the late evening. But it is school holidays, lmao. Would come back, not in the holiday period.

Lovely clean site with all the amenities you need including a shop and peaceful pub. Nice lake for water sports

Amazing Site

Lakeside Caravan Park was a great stay for our weekend get away. The site was well organised & clean with great affordable facilities on site. Great find & would recommend to anyone wanting a weekend away from the city!
