Clear filters Beautiful little site, great hosts
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Area) Apr 2025 Booked this site as a last minute getaway with my kids for the weekend.
It's a beautiful little site that's clean and well looked after! Felt welcomed before even arriving, as Barbara text on the morning to see about our eta. Keith met us at the gate to show us to our pitch and offer help if needed, he's an absolute gentleman. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and it seemed like nothing was too much trouble - he even took my son on a tour round in his golf buggy while I got set up. We had a lovely couple of days there, only had a few other caravans on the family paddock so felt like we had the field to ourselves.
Brilliant location with the beach only being a 5 minute walk, Skirlington market just down the road and Bridlington not far away. On the day of departure, we wanted to go swimming to Brid but didn't want to take caravan with us, Keith and Barbara sorted it and made our last day an absolute breeze!
Will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet/chilled stay at a very reasonable price, you couldn't ask for better hosts, and the ice creams are just the best.
All in all, a brilliant experience!

Easy to walk to the beach and the village pub and the on site cafe and ice cream are an added bonus.

Site was well maintained and clean. Welcome pack, contained useful information, loved the takeaway truck for evening tea on site.
Mr Moo's ice cream parlour was amazing, so much choice and again, friendly staff. We would definitely recommend and be making a return visit.

Spacious well maintained super-pitches, all facilities clean and well lit, and site security taken seriously. Plus, the bonus of an ice-cream parlour and cafe in situ, what more can there be?
Immaculate place

Excellent for dogs too. The warden was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and always around to help.

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult-Only) Sep 2024 Great site. Warden and his wife are lovely. Very tidy pitches well maintained. Just think the toilet area could be a bit cleaner maybe a brick build would be nicer. Cold in the later months.
Otherwise, the site is lovely will definitely return to this site.

Great location for dogs and a short walk to the quiet beach in mid September. Must try the ice cream, it's stunning.
Showers and toilets let it down
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult-Only) Sep 2024 The site itself was very tidy. Grass cut regularly and hardstanding pitch was spot on.
Keith and Barbara are an asset to the site. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, happy to help you anyway they can.
The let down were the toilets and showers. The water had penetrated the walls and smelt damp. Also, they weren't very clean. l personally feel they need replacing. There are no nearby shops so you need to use your car to get out and about.
Plus side is there is someone who comes on a Friday and Saturday night selling street food. I can highly recommend, good food and not expensive. Nice walk to the beach were you can take dogs.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Adult-Only) Sep 2024 Our trip away in a campervan to test out our new awning. Apart from the sketchy weather, all went well. Very nice campsite, nice and chilled with good facilities and very nice ice cream.
Lovely site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Adult-Only) Sep 2024 Lovely site with a smashing walk to the sea. I think they should change toilets to showers and separate toilets, there's nothing worse than having to shower near a smelly toilet.
Check in is before 6, which is not great as people have to work and check out is at 11, which I think puts pressure on people.
Staff were lovely, site was immaculate and quiet, definitely recommend.

Great access to a really nice, quiet beach, perfect for the dog. Toilet and shower facilities were the best I have used. Mr Moo's ice cream parlour just across the track was a real nice bonus too.

Hidden Gem
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Adult-Only) Aug 2024 We stopped on Percy's Paddock which was adults only.
The wardens are of a mature age and very friendly. We were soon guided where to pitch and which hook up to use. We were also given a quick brief where everything was. Percy's Paddock is surrounded by trees, that did provide some shelter from the wind and the pitches are fairly flat. As it is near a main road, this might put some people off, but on the whole, not too noticeable at night.
The toilets and showers were kept very clean, as were the washing up sinks. The only downside with the washing up sinks is that they have no cover from the elements. Mobility might be a problem for some, as although there are toilets at ground level, the showers are on raised decking, of which I did not see a ramp during our stay there.
The beach is a short distance away and is lovely. The only problem being is the access to it. There are signs of major erosion all along the coast line and evidence of where caravans once stood on the cliff, now no longer there. This will be problematic to families with small children and the elderly.
Mr Moo's ice cream parlour and cafe on the other hand, is just across from the car park. Be warned, it gets really busy, so be prepared to wait! We found the prices seemed to be a tad on the expensive side, but when our orders came out, they were huge to what we thought we were going to get. So much so, that I had to share mine with my wife.
If you want peace and quiet, then this is the site for you. If you have young children or mobility issues, then you probably need to reconsider.
First time campers - very welcoming site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Adult-Only) Aug 2024 We had a great time at Mr Moo's. Keith and Barbara were very welcoming and maintained the site to a high level. The showers and toilets were clean.
We had a good breakfast every morning at the café. Good location, lots of places to visit. Short walk to the beach and nearest pub, perfect!

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult-Only) Aug 2024 Lovely site, my only observation was the showers. Difficult to regulate temperature when running water. Would be helpful if time could be extended as you continuously had to keep pressing button. Don't believe it's unreasonable for 5 mins run to enable shower .
