Clear filters Lots of facilities in a picturesque setting
Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 The owners were very helpful and the toilet and shower blocks were immaculately clean.
The pitches were well maintained and the Brownie had lovely cakes and nice coffee.
Best campsite ever
Small Tent - Large Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 This is the best site we have stayed in.
The pitches allowed you to have you own space with great views, an excellent dog field to allow our whippet to stretch his legs, immaculate toilets, showers and sinks with fridges and freezers to keep your stuff fresh.
The staff were helpful and friendly, thanking you all for making our stay so pleasant.

Shower/toilet facilities the best we have used. Staff wonderful. Will definitely visit again. Great walk from the site. Alpacas an added bonus. Lots of wild rabbits running about which was wonderful. Pitches on different levels which worked very well.
Coffee and croissants from site early in the morning and a great café nearby within walking distance and they did take away pizzas at night. Walk to Appletree wick beautiful and not too challenging and two great pubs in the village.

We have used many campsites and this is the best so far with very clean facilities and pleasant/helpful staff. We will return. Love Brownies was a great facility to have, also with friendly staff. We enjoyed their pizzas and breakfasts were spot on. Thanks

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Of all the campsites we’ve visited over the years, this campsite is one of the best we have ever stayed at.
All pitches are well planned, spacious and considerate of other ‘campers’.
The shower and toilet facilities are outstanding and there is plenty of them, that you don’t appear to have to queue. Showers are hot😊.
Beautiful location. We will return to explore more of the local countryside.

Highly recommend this site, lost only one point out of 25 as a steep pricing compared to some.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 The site is a great location for walks, either in the hills or along the river to Bolton Abbey or up to Grassington. The site itself isn't too big, so easy to get around. Toilet facilities are modern and regularly cleaned.
Great little shop for top ups and they hire fire pits!
Feeding the Alpacas was an added bonus!
Very peaceful site but also has a play area for younger kids. The staff were superb - very helpful and friendly. We'd definitely return!

Single Axle Caravan - Premium Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 We have totally fallen in love with the Yorkshire Dales.
The site is so well positioned to be able to walk straight to so many beautiful places along the River Wharf.
Howgill Lodge Campsite is so peaceful, the views are amazing and we were blessed with fabulous weather and watched the sunset each evening with just the sound of the birdsong all around us.
The site facilities are immaculately clean and the staff could not have been any more helpful.

VW-Type Campervan - Premium Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Fantastic site, lovely staff, facilities so clean, I really can't fault this site.
We were in a small campervan and our friends in a motorhome, but would recommend no matter what you are staying in.

Small Tent - Large Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Lovely campsite with not just alpacas, but lots of ducks and wild rabbits! The pitches do closely overlook one another, however the site was so quiet and peaceful. Very clean facilities and friendly owners. Will return!

Motorhome - Premium Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Really good amenities, up to date and clean.
Toilets, showers. Laundry room, extra freezer room if needed. Wardens were friendly and helpful.
The site is beautifully set out, tiered so that everyone gets an uninterrupted view of the glorious scenery. Then there were the Alpacas! The dog field was massive. Well managed.
We will be back!

It sits over a number of levels, so everyone has a bit of a view and not looking into the next caravan or tent. One of the nicest sites we've been to so far.

Twin Axle Caravan - Premium Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 A lovely site, with gorgeous views. I really enjoyed staying here.
The only bug bear was a really late arrival at about 10pm in the pitch next to us, which disturbed us whilst they set up. Other than that, it was lovely. We'll be back next year

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (5m x 6m) Oct 2024 Loved it, I only stayed for a night but the girl on the reception was lovely and very helpful! I went to try and see the meteor shower and the view was amazing.

Single Axle Caravan - Premium Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 A great location and marvellous views, although access is a little difficult with single lane roads and gravel track. Not a problem, just be aware. Otherwise, a fantastic place.

Fantastic views, first class facilities, friendly staff and a perfect situation in the countryside. Lovely local pubs and a superb cafe just down the road. We will be back as soon as we can get there.
