The Old Stables Campsite is located in South West Cornwall, just five minutes from Gwithian Beach, a popular spot with surfers. A great family-friendly site with large spacious camping and touring pitches (some with electric), plus camping pods and shepherd's huts. The site offers modern facilities, fire pits for hire and a wetsuit rinse. St Ives is also only 20 minutes away, perfect for days out!

Couldn't fault this amazing campsite. We loved the space and the way we weren't packed in. Lovely showers. Mike and Jayne very friendly. Great location. Can't wait to come back!

Cosy pod, clean and comfortable. Onsite facilities were basic but functional. The campsite was somewhat exposed as it was quite high up - fine during a heatwave, but might be a bit chilly otherwise. It was also quite close to the A road so there was some traffic noise.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we appreciate your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in one of our pods. Where we are located, it can be exposed depending on the time of year and the direction of the wind, but the pods are built to protect campers from the elements. Apart from our new showers, our other facilities are old, but as you say, functional and we do hope to replace them in the next few years as part of our plans to build the business gradually and keep the site as affordable as possible for our guests. Unfortunately we do get some noise from A30 when the wind is in a certain direction, especially this time of the year when there is increased traffic. We hope you will visit again in the future. Hi Mike, Thanks for a great stay. Your camp is very well run by yourself and we enjoyed ourselves. The camp was very clean. The toilets and showers were spotless. Nice touch with complementary fridge for campers. Nice and quiet - exactly what we wanted. Hazel & Pete

This was a very nice quiet and peaceful site, which had very friendly staff who are happy to help. Location was very convenient for South Cornwall and still a great price compared to other campsites in the area.

It was the perfect holiday! The facilities were amazing and Mike and Jayne were incredibly friendly, helpful, and considerate too. We will definitely be coming back and would 100% recommend to anybody wanting to stay in Cornwall! The accommodation was very homely and exactly what we were looking for! The bed was also very comfortable - so that's a plus too! Thank you for such a great holiday!
