This site is amazing we stopped on it for a couple of nights, everything is spotlessly clean, beautiful big showers. Pitches are excellent, we took our dog Rosie with us and they even had a field to take your dog

Derbyshire break

This was a lovely site to stay on. The facilities were excellent, beautiful views and a bonus for us was the enclosed dog field where we could let our dogs off lead.

Excellent site

We enjoyed 3 nights at Farditch Farm Campsite. The facilities were spotless, and we really appreciated the kitchen area with washing up liquid provided, also an oven and microwave available. The bike storage area was first class - very safe with plenty of electric sockets so charging e-bikes was very convenient. Hopefully we'll return at some point.

Quiet and beautiful location

Road noise spoilt it.

Caravan site spot on, the facilities one of the best we have seen, lovely pitches. Never saw a member of staff the whole six days we were there, which would have been nice just for them to say hi to us. Unfortunately, we will not return back because of the road noise which spoiled it for us, which it's a shame because it's a lovely site.

You must not of ventured down to the lounge area as that is where I am based. Sorry the road noise has meant you won't return but if you do change your mind we will happily welcome you back.

A real gem!

This site is brilliant, very reasonable pitch prices, if you’re looking for a base to explore the many trails, caves, and lovely pub. I will most definitely visit again

What a gem

What an absolute gem. The location is lovely, and very easy to get to, the roads are well maintained. Our pitch was roomy, tidy and with good views. The water was nearby, and it was very peaceful. The facilities were plentiful for the demand, clean and tidy. We will definitely return!

Fantastic campsite

The site was very clean and tidy. The toilet/shower block was very clean. Excellent waste removal area. Excellent power and water at hook up point. Negative is that it is close to a busy road which can be noisy. There is no shop on site and no one to meet you on arrival to assist with any initial questions. Nearest pub is a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. However, I would definitely recommend it as the food was superb. Conclusion is that it's a good, tidy site.

Self check-in does make the site run a lot smoother and we do offer a contact phone number if you do have any issues and there is no staff in the office or around the site during your visit. Great value for a short stopovers

Farditch Farm was everything we expected it to be. It was good value. The amenities were very good. Very clean. There weren't many people on the site for our stay and so I can only assume it would be kept clean. We had a small campervan and felt we were the 'poor relations' stuck around the back of the building. However, it provided lovely views and it was very convenient for the showers and toilets. We only stayed one night even though we'd booked two because the road was very noisy and it kept us awake. The noise was probably worse for us because we had a pop top campervan. I doubt it would have been such a problem in a motorhome or caravan. Our pitch number was texted to us a couple days prior to our visit, there is no reception. This was fine for our needs.

There is no check-in, however we do have staff in the office (facilities area) Monday - Thursday 9am-3pm (dependent), Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.

Campervan at Farditch

Fabulous location, wonderful toilets, showers, service points. A bus stop within 20 mins walk for Bakewell or Buxton. The motorhome pitches were enormous. However our campervan pitch (16) was far too close to the next van, definitely not 4 metres, nearer 2 metres, which meant we were able to hear them talking, watching TV and even snoring. We would definitely stay at this site again but would request not to have pitch 16 or 17. The other small campervan pitches were more spacious.

Little gem!

A small farm site

With only a few pitches this was a lovely small site. We were pleasantly surprised at how spotless the facilities were. There was a room with sofas and table and chairs we could use plus a large TV which came in useful as it was an important rugby weekend.

Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful

Beautiful location, ideally situated for visiting Buxton. Facilities were spotlessly clean and the lounge had all of the information about the local area we required. Very quiet site but then it was early March. Will try and get back again in the Autumn.

Sunny week in Derbyshire

Great site. Friendly and professional staff which keep the site pristine. Be aware that on weekdays, noise from HGVs is significant due to proximity to an A road.

Thankyou for your kind review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. You definitely timed it right with the weather. The noise from the traffic can be off putting for some and due to local roadworks it has meant there was more than usual. We hope it hasn't deterred you returning to us in the future.

Wish we were staying longer

Farditch Farm was more than we could have asked for. We are new to "van life" so had booked the pitch last minute. We wish we had stayed an extra couple of nights. The shower facility was clean and warm, there was space to let our dog off to stretch his legs and it was close to a town but far enough out in the countryside to fell we were off grid. I cannot recommend it enough, and will be back.

Feb half term stay

Facilities had everything you needed and kept super clean. Makes the whole camper experience, especially in the cold and wet, that bit easier!

Excellent site

Lovely super pitches which were made private by the bushes. Very good amenities, there was a shower block with a disabled wet room, a lounge area with a TV and kitchen area, which was very clean and tidy.

Lovely little spot

Lovely little place. Facilities were great and washrooms very clean. The kitchen was good everything in there that you could have needed. The only thing that wasn't brilliant was the Wi-Fi was very patchy didn't have any yesterday, so may be a problem if you need it! Would definitely recommend 🙂

Thank you for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay. We work very closely with IT to make sure the service is good, considering our rural location. Blockers and VPN's on personal devices can sometimes interfere with joining the Wi-Fi.

Winter break

The site is excellent. Well maintained and first class facilities, including a kitchen and lounge should you need it. The only draw back - and it's no fault of the site or owners - is traffic noise, particularly heavy lorries using the A5270 between the A515 and A6, which starts around 04:30 and continues throughout the day. Perhaps to be expected given it's ease of access.

Lovely stay

Lovely site with great access. The pitches were very generous, they had water electric and a grey waste dump on all pitches. The toilets were immaculate and the staff were very friendly.

Lovely little site, will use again

Located between Buxton and Bakewell. This site is ideal for exploring, especially the Monsal Trail and Chatsworth. A clean and tidy site with fully serviced pitches, good facilities too. Also good for dogs, we have 3 who were made welcome 😁
