Clear filters Great stay, family and dog friendly campsite
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 This was our first time at Watermouth Valley having used other sites nearby previously.
So first up, its peak season, the site albeit busy and peak season was great value for money. The pitches were well maintained and there was plenty of space between them. On site facilities were good and the catering and bar are a great idea with no more than a few minutes wait for good quality reasonably priced food.
A great find, we will be back.

Beautiful place to chill for a drink, the pitches are nice and large and the owners can't do enough for you, see you soon.

Facilities were great, had everything I could possibly need, and the fact there is a little food stand was just perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Small Tent - Valley Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 We had an amazing weekend stay here over a perfectly sunny weekend.
The campsite was very clean, had great facilities and was a close drive to Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. The majority of the staff were absolutely lovely but there was an older lady working who I thought was slightly rude. I had used the hairdryer for my hair and then a bit afterwards ,I blew a bit of cold air on my face for about 15 seconds as I was very hot and she proceeded to tell me about how I had missed a sign saying not to do this and that electricity was expensive and I was wasting it. I totally admitted that I missed the sign and was sorry, but I just think the way she spoke to me and her tone of voice made me quite embarrassed as she seemed angry. When she left, some other girls came up to me and told me she had also spoken to them with a rude tone earlier. I understand it is stressful running a campsite and there is a lot to handle but there is a way to tell people they can't be doing something without having a nasty look on your face and a harsh tone of voice, especially for a simple mistake! Maybe to solve this, there could be a way to charge people for hair dryer usage like the straightener socket.
Apart from this, everything was perfect!

Medium Tent - Valley Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by incredibly friendly and welcoming staff who made us feel right at home. The location is absolutely perfect – surrounded by nature and just the right distance from local attractions.
What really stood out was the cleanliness of the entire site. Everything was spotless, and the toilet and shower facilities were some of the best we’ve ever experienced at a campsite – modern, well-maintained, and very clean.
The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax and truly unwind. It was so quiet and calm, we found ourselves wishing we had booked to stay longer.
Highly recommended – we’ll definitely be back!

The off lead dog walking field was lovely. The food truck and bar with a different theme every night was great value for money. Pub next door. It's a long walk into Ilfracombe but reception booked us a taxi for £15 with 2 small dogs. Pitches are really big and very clean.
Would highly recommend and will be back.

Yet again a fab stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Valley Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Second time staying here and it has yet to disappoint. The camp site is fabulous, lots to do, we brought our 2 year old with us and he loved the games room and the park area that they have.
We all enjoyed pizza on the first night, a help yourself style carvery with homemade crumble and custard for after and on our final night, we had a chippy tea. All of which were delicious and so well priced. All the staff we encountered were cheerful, welcoming and informative. We will defo venture back here next year. One of our favourite places to be now.
A week camping in July
Large Tent - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Allocated) Jul 2025 We loved Watermouth Valley for a week's camping in July 2025.
Facilities are great and the team look after the site really well. The disappointment was the recent landslide making the beach a no-go but that was out of anybody's control.
The bonus was the amazing food and drink available every evening. The themed nights and a great little bar was fantastic. All of the team were superb and so friendly.
Highly recommended.
We left just before the school holidays and it was relatively quiet. It is probably a lot busier with the kids off!

VW-Type Campervan - Valley Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Really nice campsite. Initially I thought it wasn't quite my scene but everyone is really friendly and it was nice having a drink at the bar one night and enjoying the very delicious on site pizzas.
We also had a lovely time watching the sunset and walking the coastal path, so it was all very lovely and would defo recommend and return to.

The sunset from the hill overlooking the sea is amazing.
Loads of clean, well looked after toilet/shower facilities.
Walkable to both Combe Martin and Ilfracombe on the SW Coast path.

Medium Tent - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Allocated) Jul 2025 The photos don't lie, it's a fantastic location with wonderful sunset views and great places to visit nearby, either by car or on foot. The site is well-kept, with generous pitches all neatly organised. The on-site food hut and bar are good value with great cocktails and nice food. Plus, there's a well-stocked little shop in reception, and the staff are lovely. We loved the themed food nights and renting a fire pit for a nice campfire sunset.
Ocean view pitches - fantastic views, but if you're in a tent in bad weather, it gets a bit nerve-wracking in the wind 😂
Downside: the lack of bathroom facilities, which are currently limited to the bottom of the site. If you're in the upper part, then those late-night or early-morning trips to the toilet will not be pleasant. There's a long route, or a very steep shorter walk down to the toilets, as the portaloos at the top of the site are out of order (and look to have been for some time). The main shower block, however, is really clean and well-maintained.
There was also an 8am emptying of the chemical toilet disposal point, for which there was no warning. It's directly behind the main bathroom block, and the stench while it was being emptied was horrific. The timing was just the worst, as many residents were trying to get up and going for the day. I feel for those who were pitched close by, as there was no escaping the noise or the horrific smell in the lower part of the site.
