Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 A well run camp site with bags of privacy, space and fantastic views. Good facilities, great location and nice relaxed and peaceful ambiance. Tranquil and relatively tucked away. Big pitch - lots of room for our tiny tent. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Peaceful and beautiful Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Freda, Matt and family were wonderful hosts. The whole place is a bit quirky which suited us perfectly. The cider is delicious and we arrived on pizza night which were hand made by Freda and went perfectly with the cider. The pitches were huge and all separate. It was like having our own personal hill. Stunning darkness and silence. We loved it. We had bikes and the lanes are quiet and fine for cycling to West Bay, Bridport and local tiny villages.
Stunning as ever Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 So spacious, beautifully quiet, pub a 10 minute walk, gorgeous Eype beach a 10 minute drive.
If Heineken did campsites......
Beautiful campsite Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Such a wonderful place with great facilities. Would definitely recommend!
Great find Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Awesome campsite, very small, just 9 (very large) pitches, on a working cider farm.
Delightful surroundings, lovely people, Freda and Matt are great and the facilities make camping easy and fun.
Pizza and cider night on Saturday was great too, easy and very reasonably priced.
The barn is a great communal space, and the kitchen fully fitted so we barely used any of our own equipment, we used their kettle for hot drinks etc. would definitely recommend and hope to go back very soon.
Awesome campsite Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 By far one of the best campsites we have stayed on!
We lucked out with the weather but I can imagine in not so nice weather, the campsite would retain its beauty! Our kids loved the barn with its dartboard and ping pong, as well as the walk around the site! They even got to see glow worms and newts in the ponds at night!
The owners were super friendly and were very welcoming! Even with the no water in the toilets/showers on our final day could not dampen how much we loved this site and the owners were doing everything to fix the issue!
A little oasis Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 I would highly recommend this site. Perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the wonderful nature all around.
The owners have created a little haven!
Amazing campsite! Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 I think this is possibly the best site we have ever stayed on, the pitches are huge and well spaced out, the area is beautiful, you feel like you are miles away from civilisation but the nearest town is 10 minutes.
If I could give the facilities 10 stars I would, the toilet and showers were spotless and the barn with the fridge was an absolute god send in the hot weather. The owners were really friendly and there when you needed them but left you alone to enjoy the stay.
We shall definitely be back!
Peaceful and quiet location Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Peaceful and quiet location, with great facilities and very clean.
Big pitches and great for dogs as well. Lots do around the local area! No complaints at all, had a relaxing and stress free few days. Thank you. Sophie and Jacob.
Fabulous Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Great place to stay.
Beautiful woodland with well maintained and easy to walk paths. The facilities were amazing and very well thought.
The hosts were very lovely and the instructions to the farm nice and clear.
Everything we wanted and more 😊😊

Will definitely return!
Landrover boys Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Cracking little campsite, very quiet and out of the way, being allowed to have a fire was even better, and having a fully working kitchen on site is a huge bonus.
PERFECT Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 I should not praise this highly as everyone will go there.
However it is simply the most perfect site - stunning countryside, spacious remote pitches with outstanding views, immaculate facilities, a pub within walking distance and charming helpful hosts.
Fabulous farm site with breathtaking views Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Fabulous farm site with breath-taking views in the quiet Dorset countryside.
The hosts keep everything spotless and a social barn containing full kitchen. Lots to do near by or just sit and enjoy.
Sample the local sausages, eggs and cider available on site. Thanks for our wonderful stay.
Lovely place Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 It was short but lovely stay. The place is absolutely beautiful and quiet. Owners nice and helpful.
I am sure we will visit again.
Bee keeping and camping Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 What a wonderful site, so peaceful. We booked a bee keeping course at Twinways Orchard, which is right next to the campsite and booked the campsite because of its proximity to the course.
Would highly recommend both the bee keeping and the camping.
We own a 6m van, which is the max length the site can accommodate.
The campsite is wonderful, large grass pitches, lovely toilets and showers. a fabulous barn with kitchen and seating which guests can use. The owners were very helpful.
There is a wonderful walk around the grounds of about 4km. The local pub is about a 10 minute walk away.
We will definitely be back.
Truly wonderful! Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Hincknowle is the campsite you dream of finding one day and now that I have I will be back again and again. It ticked every box, small number of pitches widely separated, stunning rural location, huge car free pitches, faultless and spotless modern facilities,
A big barn where you can shelter from inclement weather and mingle with other families, and charming hosts. And I forgot to mention a lovely pub a short walk away along the footpath over the hill.
Hincknowle is camping heaven!
Peaceful weekend break Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Charming and tranquil setting in glorious countryside. Well organised pitches with fabulous views.
Happy campers Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Overall 5 stars! First time camping with my partner and 6 month old puppy. Nice and spacious pitches, easily accessible as we went with a couple of other groups, but you couldn't hear one pitch to the next.
Barn space and kitchen were perfect, stocked kitchen with cooking essentials and a great space to use if weather isn't good. Facilities were great, clean and tidy bathrooms at all times. Showers were good with nice and warm water, but not a great deal of space to keep clothes dry and get changed, although very manageable.
Great location and close to a few nearby towns. Beautiful grounds with lovely woodland walks and ponds/lakes. Owners were lovely and friendly, very chatty and accommodating and happy to provide recommendations. Would definitely visit again and most definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a gem Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 The nicest campsite. Spacious pitches with stunning scenery. Facilities were great and very clean.
The barn is so useful, especially on a wet night when you don't fancy cooking camp style. A full, well stocked kitchen is at hand, only thing missing is a freezer for ice blocks and for cooler boxes, but it does have a large fridge, so not a problem. The woodland walk is pretty, with lots to see and very sheltered.
I would highly recommended it to anyone who wants peace, nature and space, but would also like to keep it a closely guarded secret. Thank you Matt and Freda.
Lovely stay Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 We stayed for 3 nights in May on pitch 4.
Stunning views and so peaceful with clean facilities. Friendly welcome on arrival and the bonus of choosing our pitch, not allocated. We used the kitchen for washing up and the useful fridge.
Hincknowle Cider Apple Farm Camping Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 This is a wonderful campsite, secluded, very pretty and private pitches.
The owners are very welcoming.
Wonderful location Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Second time camping at Hincknowle.
Beautiful location with stunning views, and a great location for walking.
Benefits include a well equipped barn which provides a useful backup for sitting down and eating meals if the weather isn't good.
Beautiful Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 What a beautiful campsite, peaceful and serene. The various walks around the farm are fantastic.
Matt and Freda were such lovely people and showed us around the campground and the cider barn which has free access to a lovely kitchen complete with a fridge freezer, hob and double oven. The barn had a wood burner and plenty of chairs and tables to eat at.
The Half Moon pub is just a short stroll away as is the bus stop to Bridport. Didn't try the pub this time but we will on our next visit.
All in all a great find for us as we only live an hour away and will definitely be returning.
Excellent.
