Fernwood Glamping is situated in the picturesque New Forest National Park, an ideal location for a glamping adventure. Pick between a beautifully furnished gypsy caravan and a rustic shepherd's hut. Snuggled into a woodland area or overlooking the field where deer and rabbits are frequently seen, it is hard to believe you are only minutes from the friendly market town of Ringwood. Easy access to the A31 will take you to beaches, Poole, and more!

We had 2 nights in the magical gypsy caravan and it was lovely. The location was peaceful and perfect for a little escape while still having access to all the wonders of the new forest. Rachel provided us with wonderful treats and everything we could ask for to make our little camp run smoothly. Access to the summer house also meant I had somewhere to rest and read in the evening while the kids enjoyed hunkering down in the caravan watching movies on their tablets. I personally enjoyed all the lovely little thoughtful books in the summer house, while the kids were enchanted by the garden and the swing. Sleeping in the caravan was cosy and comfortable. We were very sad to leave.

Thank you Suzie for writing such a fabulous review for us. It was lovely to meet you and your two girls. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the space in the summer house as well as the cosy Gypsy Van. It was great to hear you had a good morning at The New Forest Water Park just down the road. We would love to see you all again.

Our visit was a few days in early April, with varied weather and a 5 year old. Luckily the Fernwood site is in a fantastic location, both for local shops and food options, and with the forest and outdoor activities. We easily filled our days by keeping busy, aided by the guidebook provided. Plus we had the options to light fires, use the summer house and plenty of blankets to keep warm. Strongly recommend it if you're looking for an easy camping experience with some nice luxuries.

I stayed there in my own and felt completely safe. The gypsy caravan was very cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. A great place to relax and escape reality. The area is good for walking.

Rachel (host) was so welcoming and thoughtful. The gypsy caravan was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed (including electric heater, which was a lot easier to manage with our young boys than the log burner). Everything had been thought of including marshmallows to toast, hot chocolate, tea, biscuits and even crocs for quick trips to the eco loo! Rachel's garden was perfect for two energetic little boys and she had endless patience with them playing hide and seek and chasing her automatic lawn mower. She also had great recommendations for walks and things to do in the New Forest - we absolutely loved Moors Valley Country park! The summer house was an amazing addition and allowed us to have some time in the evening to relax once the kids were tucked up in bed. The breakfast hamper with freshly baked cakes was delicious. We loved it, thank you!

Thank you so much for writing such a detailed review. Having the summer house is great for parents with younger children. It’s so lovely knowing that you had such a great time, especially as on this visit the weather was more challenging! Your boys did have fun in the garden running around. It’s great for us to see it being used like this again! Hopefully we will see you all again! Rachel

Spent 2 nights in this lovely shepherd's hut in the New Forest. The host was very welcoming and informative. And the hut was clean and comfortable. The facilities were as described and also clean. Spent a lovely evening sat by the fire pit. Lovely garden - spotted some deer in the adjacent field one evening. Lots to do in the area and plenty of amenities nearby (Tesco Express, pubs). Would definitely go back!

We had the most wonderful stay at fernwood last August. We had use of both the gypsy caravan and the shepherds hut which meant we had the whole place to ourselves. Both were incredibly comfortable and beautifully presented. We spent many hours chatting in the summer house or on the deck drinking fizz as well as lovely long walks in the nearby New Forest. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast hamper was extremely well-stocked and scrumptious! Can't recommend this peaceful, beautiful place highly enough.

Fernwood Glamping is a beautiful place, secure and welcoming. The site is private with a Shepherd's Hut and Gypsy Caravan in a lovely garden overlooking fields. This meant on both occasions we stayed there, we had the place to ourselves. We were able to be there as two couples. (We took our grown up children and their partner/friend). We loved being able to use the summer house, chiminea and firepit in the evenings. The summer house offers shelter if it rains and overlooks a beautiful pond with lots of wildlife. The decking and gardens are brilliant for stargazing and enjoying no light pollution. Nothing is too much trouble for Rachel and Jonathan. We really appreciated the special touches and attention to detail, including our vegan breakfast hamper. We were grateful too for their pointers to places we wouldn't have thought of visiting that really fit our preferences. This was our third visit - we warmly recommend Fernwood Glamping.
