This site is beautiful. Good, basic facilities, lovely location. My boy loves spending time with the animals and the owner, James, is extremely friendly and helpful. This is definitely our new favourite, local site.

Glamping Cabin - Meadow LodgeApr 2023

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in meadow lodge at Brook Farm. James was an excellent host, friendly and helpful. We had lovely pizzas from his wood fired oven and crepes at his little cafe. The site is right by the woods, perfect for dog walking. The lodge was well appointed and cozy even over night. The shower was hot. Even had a little enclosed garden so dog could be off the lead. Had a great time, would highly recommend it, we will definitely be going back.

Great campsite for a short stay

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Campervan PitchesAug 2022

Would recommend this park, lovely setting and well situated for visits to Whitstable and Canterbury, both around 15 min drive away. Broadstairs, a lovely, lovely place, is around a 35 minute drive away! I wouldn't bother with Margate as it has lovely beach, but is a bit run down. Toilets and showers on site very basic, bins overflowing but again lovely setting.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesAug 2022

Well positioned for our cycle to Whitstable and has very extensive wooded area for walks next to site. Showers are electric heated type so vary from stone cold to excessively hot during your shower. Reasonable price for non-electric pitch, but those with electric (larger?) are overpriced. Too many dogs for our liking, but onsite café hut serving breakfasts and pizza is a bonus.

Great little site!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

We had a lovely stay at Brook Farm. On arrival we were greeted by James who was informative, helpful and friendly. We found the facilities to be as you would expect at a campsite. The only criticism I have is that the sheep that are kept there are in an enclosure which I think is too small for them with little shelter. The plinth that is in there offers no shade from the sun and doesn't shelter the sheep from the rain/ wind. Also the sheep need to have hay to supplement their feeding as the grass is so dry from the heat. Also I think the lovely Guinea pig should have a friend in there with him as Guinea pigs are social animals that should at least be in a pair. Apart from that, we enjoyed staying at the campsite and would recommend.

Site's response

Really enjoyed having you here at Brook Farm and glad you had a good stay Hannah. If I'm able to address and explain the animals, that'd be great as I don't want people thinking they're not cared for! The sheep are rotated between paddocks to ensure they always have young sugary grass to eat. Further to this, I don't know if you noticed, but they had a mineral/sugar lick underneath their field shelter to top up any deficiencies. As well as lamb nuts nearly every day, we provide hay for them in winter, however hay is just dried out grass so what they've got in their current paddock is perfect to chomp on! The 2m x 2m field shelter does offer shade and due to their woolly fleeces, they are absolutely fine come rain or shine, although you'll often see them hiding from the rain under it! Our resident guinea pig Elvis is soon to be introduced to a potential new friend, however it's better to introduce them slowly and in a low stress environment, so felt it would be better to hold off until this week when it quietens down a little. Really glad you enjoyed your stay and we all hope to see you again soon :)

First time using this site as our usual Whitstable site has now closed. We loved the site and the location. The pizzas upon arrival were a big hit for us and loved the fire pit and logs. The toilets and showers were clean and did the job.The cafe was open both mornings serving lovely coffees and teas, but no food. The location was ideal as we left car and used local taxi firm to ferry us to Whitstable- only £12 each way. Would recommend site. Good luck to Arby and the team for the future. We will be returning next year.

Very friendly site. Toilets and showers were basic but perfectly fine. A short drive to Whitstable. It was a good, laid back camping weekend. Perfect place to chill and watch the stars.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

This is such a peaceful location. I often take books to read and find I'm instead just sitting, soaking up the countryside. It's also right next to some woods, which makes for a nice walk if it's too hot. Toilets and showers are in an open barn type structure, so expect some wildlife - including showering with starlings (?) flying in and out over your head. Owners are very friendly. Nice little cafe on site that also has a large stone pizza oven where you book a pizza and have it delivered to your tent. There are also a few pens of chickens and sheep, which the kids seem to especially enjoy. This was my third visit. So lucky to have such a lovely site so close by.

Single Axle Caravan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesAug 2022

Never used the facilities so can't rate these so just gave five stars. However, the location is beautiful, peaceful and scenic. Sitting on the edge of the ancient Blean Forest, it is perfect for a leisurely stroll with the dogs. Will definitely return!

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2022

We had a lovely stay here- the site is nice and small, but nice sized pitches and you don't feel on top of other people. Quiet by 10pm-ish and some lovely animals on site too. Small cafe on site and the pizza was really yummy- I would recommend that for one of your evenings. Only improvement would be for the toilets to be bleached/ cleaned, as it looked like they hadn't been done in a while but the rustic nature of the cubicles was fine. The showers were good too- I've been to a few sites and preferred this one over them all. It would be good for some method on the doors to show if a toilet or shower is engaged or free. 2 friendly men ran the site and couldn't do enough for you-very helpful.

Would stay again

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

I would stay at Brook Farm again. It's in a great location near Canterbury. However, there is room for improvement in the toilet and shower block, such as emptying bins. Some local information would be useful, such as directions to the nearest A&E or Urgent Care Centre. I had a bad reaction to a wasp sting and only by chance found myself at the Urgent Care Centre in Faversham. Basic but nice, would recommend

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

Had a short stay with my girlfriend after arriving on a motorcycle. The location is what you want to have if you planning to visit Whitstable or Canterbury. Nice showers and clean toilets, cosy café on site and it is possible to get a fire pit to spend the evening nicely!

Small Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2022

My third visit to Brook Farm, this time with my son in law and grandson. We had spent a few hours on the Seasalter beach only 20 mins drive away before heading to Brook Farm. We received a friendly welcome from James and were soon set up on our electric grass pitch. Brook Farm is a quiet site with direct access to Blean Woods where we had a pleasant stroll in the late afternoon. We used one of the site's repurposed washing machine drum firepits in the evening. The showers now have the addition of a slatted floor, which make them better to use. Another enjoyable visit to Brook Farm.
