Runach Arainn is a small luxury glamping site on the south of the Isle of Arran. The spacious luxury yurts have proper double beds, wood burning stoves, fire pits, sofas and their own private bathrooms. Ideal for families, couples and groups. You're just a short walk from the beach, local shop and pub, enjoy views of mountains and stunning scenery right on your doorstep. Awarded Green Tourism Gold and Top AA quality rating.

About the site

In a quiet rural setting, this small site offers three yurts with all you need for a great glamping holiday. The yurts are Scottish made and set in a beautiful orchard near the village of Kilmory. Inside they combine the luxury of bespoke design, individual outdoor fire pits and a beautiful setting with the practicality of cooking facilities, a toasty log burner, bedding and towels. You'll have solar lighting on this eco site, log burners and games and books for days when you fancy relaxing indoors. Every yurt comes with a private bathroom with shower (including a luxury composting toilet) for a green holiday. Two yurts can sleep up to six people and the third can accommodate up to four people. Whichever one you choose, it'll be ideal for a romantic break or as a base for an adventurous family holiday.

Each accommodation offers private facilities. A shared pot wash area and kitchen is available on site. There is free site-wide WiFi.

A local cafe and restaurant are nearby. A half mile away is the Lagg Hotel which includes a bar.

With green ethics at its heart, our site flourishes with nature and wildlife, an ideal place to relax and reconnect.

Spot golden eagles, otters, red squirrels and many other rare species here on Arran or just watch butterflies pass by in the meadow as you relax outside your yurt with a drink in hand.

Our passion is sustainability and we practice green business ethics and also have a food forest on site - accredited as part of the ScotLAND demonstration network for regenerative agriculture and permaculture. With bees, hens, ducks and lots of food growing techniques and unusual plants, just let us know if you want a tour when you are here!

Things to do on site and in the Isle Of Arran area

As you relax and roam the site you'll come across a peaceful orchard and pretty wild flower meadow, great for family walks. The kids will love the rubbing trail, playing in the willow den or even building their own den. As the sun sets, you can all come together round your own fire pit to cook an outdoorsy meal.

A stunning beach is just a 15 minute walk away, plus there are beautiful forest tracks for walking and cycling from site.
