great stop off location, small convenient site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Dec 2024 A great little site, a great location and extremely high standards of cleanliness with a toilet/shower block out of a 5 star hotel. I will continue to book here when I'm in the area.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2024 Fantastic campsite! The nicest bathroom facilities I've ever had the pleasure to use.
Only dropped 1 star for location, and that was only because the airport was a little noisy. But, I knew about the airport before booking, so I won't moan about that.
A lovely quiet site, in a very rural part of Scotland. A walk or short drive to the stunning forth bridge and less than 8 miles from Edinburgh city centre.
I will be returning, hopefully for more than just 1 night next time and possibly not in the middle of a storm.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2024 It's a lovely site. Very tidy and the toilet facilities are lovely. They are an open and friendly site, you don't feel like you are being watched or monitored. Not far to Edinburgh, I will go again.

Facilities like new, high quality and spotlessly clean. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The site is well laid out and peaceful.
Catch an Uber to the Park and Ride near the airport, then take the tram into Edinburgh.
So good we are returning very soon.

Lovely site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 2 nights in a VW camper. The site was great, Jean and Jim were really helpful. The kitchen on-site was a bonus. The showers blocks were great and about a 15 mins drive from the park and ride tram to city (40 mins to Princes Street) . The code is on gate, so there were no time restrictions.
Excellent site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 An excellent location, a good pitch with an electric hookup. There was an amazing brand new shower block, with great showers and some essentials in case you ran out. The campsite kitchen was spacious, with added extras like an air fryer, but we had a takeaway delivered!

I will definitely visit next time as well.

Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 The campsite is a bit farther outside of Edinburgh, perfect for a calm stay. It's clean, calm and pretty.
It has everything you might ever need, from a washing room to a kitchen, to heated toilets and shower, even a dog shower is provided.
They have a little shop for small necessities on the site and you wake up to birds singing and bunnies hopping around your tent. Absolutely great stay.
A 1 night pit stop

Only downside is that it is near the airport, so low flying planes do wake you early! Okay if you're a heavy sleeper xx

This was a perfect stopover for us at the end of our trip. Super-clean, great facilities and lovely helpful staff. Be aware that you will hear aircraft noise as it's near the airport, but this is also one of its major advantages so not a criticism.
The kitchen facilities were an absolute blessing after cooking in a van for 10 days, and the shower rooms beautifully clean.

When booking we didn't realise that it was so close to Edinburgh airport flight path, but I enjoy watching aeroplanes, so Brucie bonus there. Would stay again if in the area again.

Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 We stayed for 3 nights Friday through Sunday as we were attending an event in Edinburgh nearby. It was also our first time camping and it was great. Place was really peaceful, toilets and showers were amazing and clean. Can't wait to stay again.

Would definitely visit again. Warning about all the pot holes on the road leading to it, but not the site's fault.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 I could not recommend this highly enough, it was spotless and staff very friendly. The standard of cleanliness was first class - I highly recommend this.
An enjoyable stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 The location and site itself are very good, with spacious pitches. It was very useful to have easy access to the Park and Ride for trips into the city by tram.
The showers etc were very clean and modern, although it's irritating to have to keep pressing the button before water flows from the shower. The laundry is also clean and well kept and the washing machines very efficient. However we would not recommend using the dryers, which took many repeats before clothing was dry. They do offer a line for drying if it's not already occupied. Ideally bring your own line!
The staff were friendly and helpful and there's a useful shop for basics. We would stay there again if in the area.
Our Stay at Linwater Caravan Park - August 2024
Single Axle Caravan - Large Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 This was our first stay at Linwater Caravan Park and we would definitely recommend it. The pitches were very spacious, the facilities were of a high standard and staff were welcoming and helpful. The site was quiet and peaceful and there was a nice dog walk.
There was a shop on site to buy essentials plus lots of local shops reasonably close by. The transport links into the centre of Edinburgh were excellent. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would book again.

Very clean and modern shower and toilet block. Friendly staff and fair rules. Would definitely recommend to anyone. 3 girls and a little westie dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 An excellent site roomy, between other campers. A warm welcome and the staff are always available to help.
Lots to do in surrounding area, the five sisters zoo was very good and a lot cheaper than Edinburgh zoo.
The park and ride to go into the city centre was excellent value for money and easy to get to. Overall an excellent site and location will definitely return in the future.
