We could not have enjoyed this campsite more. Staff in reception were lovely. Facilities were kept clean and tidy and were nice to use. Good hot shower, on a token system, sometimes needed to queue, particularly for the mens. The walks around the site were well marked and really pleasant. The campsite was filling up by the time we left but when we arrived we had some pretty clear views of a lovely landscape.

Beautiful location, a small site just off the beautiful waterfalls and lovely stream! Everyone had a smile on their faces, it was quite magical, in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. You can't play any music, a shame as my husband had his guitar, but apparently most visitors wanted it quiet, so understandable. Beautifully modern, clean loos and showers. One naff thing, 50p a shower!

Quiet gem

This site is amazing! Peaceful, beautiful and the surroundings are simply breath-taking. Facilities are 10/10 and everything has been thought of and recommend going for the hour riverside walk to see the gorgeous waterfall and river. Honestly we were ready to turn the car around and book a couple of extra nights here! Believe me when you book this site you will see why it's an award winning campsite. Simply beautiful.

5 day break in this Beautiful part of North Wales

Had a lovely couple of days rest from the real world. No electric hook up suited us to a tee. We pitched right next the the river, which was lovely to wake up to every morning. Only downside was the amount of rocks in the ground where we pitched, but that was our choice. Facilities were clean and well maintained, and only a short walk from our tent. Staff where helpful and lovely when asked questions about walks and buying firewood. Some great local walks including the waterfall walk and walk into the village on Llanbedr only took 50 mins to grab a lovely lunch at The Victoria Inn. Barmouth is only a 20 min drive down the road and is a lovely beach, well worth the visit and would definitely recommend Nantcol Waterfalls Campsite and would most definitely return.

If you are looking to be secluded away, this campsite is perfect. The campsite it beautiful with some lovely walks from the campsite past the river and waterfalls. The staff were polite and friendly, there is a small shop which has your basics and ice-cream. The facilities were always clean. You do have to drive to anywhere, as llanbedr (the closest village to the campsite) is about 40mins walk or 5 mins drive which has a corner shop and pubs. The area is close for driving to Snowdonia and beaches. You are able to rent fire pits and wood from the shop. Overall would recommend to anyone, and definitely coming back again.

Unbelievable spot for camping

The site is very well set up and maintained with all the facilities needed. The waterfall and river wind through the site. There are several trails that are well marked with stunning views. It is very dog friendly and our Greyhound loved it. We really appreciated the shady woodland and the variety of places to explore without needing to use the roads. There is a kiosk on site selling ice cream etc including for the dogs! It is very peaceful and quiet. You can walk to the next village where there are good pubs or drive along the coast where there are several lovely places to stop.

Extremely clean!

Beautiful campsite. Very clean and kept to a high standard. Facilities are perfect, plug sockets available in the washrooms should you need to use anything and all toilets, washrooms and showers are kept separated to avoid any bacteria spreading. Couldn't recommend it more, would definitely visit again.

Amazing location, really clean and tidy, for a campsite it is peaceful no music is a massive bonus for myself. As a solo female camper the fact there is CCTV is a massive bonus, you can have WIFI and the facilities are really good, qualities and clean. The location is amazing and with little spots to camp I found a lovely peaceful pitch not far from the water. I will be returning.

Nice campsite for peaceful time

Nothing could be faulted - the best campsite ever! Friendly and helpful receptionist greeted us to the site which was recently mown flat grassy and roomy. Delightful stream bounds one side with grassy banks and plenty of picnic tables. The site is in glorious wooded area, the trees are healthy and provide protection from winds, but open enough to experience those large skies. The facilities are first class - showers, washing rooms, dish washing sinks and laundry are modern and elegant. The water at the site comes from a bore hole and is plenty full and tasty. To top it all they have created walking trails to the Waterfalls and woods so access to the beauty of nature is right on your doorstep.

This is a superb campsite. Flat, great facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely small river (in which you can dip/ almost swim) passes through the site. Excellent marked walks from the campsite. Thoroughly recommend.

Site is very rocky. WIFI isn't great. Staff are great. Could do with a shop or chippy on site, would go a treat with a BBQ.

Nice site, but open to the public

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Grass Touring PitchesJun 2025

Mid-size site which is an addition to the Nantcol waterfalls attraction. Shower block was OK, staff were nice and the waterfalls are close enough for a nice walk. No mobile signal. We were right next to the car park, which meant that day visitors the the falls could walk amongst the site, which didn't feel very private, and cars from the visitors car park were close. Not much you can do about that though. Nice place, enjoyed our stay, but didn't quite feel it was worth the 4 hour journey each way.
