Lovely relaxing location
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We had a wonderful stay at the Hare and Hounds. The location was great, a beautiful cross-country walk into Rye and a bus stop right outside meant that everywhere was very accessible.
The site is well-spaced out making it the perfect place to relax. The facilities were clean and well maintained. It had a quaint, family-run feel. The owners were friendly and helpful. We couldn't have wished for better. We'll definitely be back!
Campervan plus awning
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Very happy with campsite and facilities - easy to locate, a lot of thought had gone into the site, with some nice touches - information pebbles.
Pitches well set out, plenty of space, yet proximate to facilities. a gentle mix of accommodation to suit different 'campers'.
A welcoming and informative host who explained about the campsite; provided a mapped walk to Rye town centre, (although we drove and parked near the sports fields) apparently buses are hourly / two hourly, timetable available.
Only stayed two nights with our own agenda, so did not engage in all the opportunities available on the campsite or immediate area (eg pub within walking distance): next time we visit.

Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Lovely tranquil site which accommodates motorhomes, caravans, tents and has a couple of glamping tents.
Showers / toilets were clean and private. Will definitely visit again.
Little gem
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Lovely site. Very clean and nice little extras (mobile phone charging, microwave, fridge/freezer).
Grass pitches were great and pretty much flat.
Toilets and showers nice and clean - showers are quite small though.
Overall, a good comfy relaxed stay.
Perfect site for us
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 The site was not overcrowded, seemed plenty of space between vehicles & tents.
The facilities were super clean, showers a bit cosy but did the job perfectly. The washing up area was ideal. Being just off a main road, there is some traffic noise but the benefits to that are there are bus stops directly outside to take you to or from Rye & Rye Harbour. £2 per person each way. The cab from Rye Station back to the site was £8.50.
For our needs, it was perfect & will definitely be back.
Great site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Just had a couple of days here & would definitely recommend.
Facilities are good & kept clean, owners are friendly & helpful.
Very easy access, no tight country lanes! Easy to find.
Although roadside, not much traffic noise.
Beautiful setting, within a few minutes drive or decent walk from Rye.
Pubs & restaurants within easy reach, plus cheap petrol at Jempsons in Peasmarsh (1 to 2 miles away).
Well situated for Rye (well worth a visit) & south coast towns.
Hoping to stay here again.

Pitch was level, large and in a nice sunny area. We enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Great
Bell Tent - Bell Tents Sep 2023 Having never camped before, and not having any camping equipment, thought we would try glamping as a way to ease ourselves in gently. Staying away from home is always apprehensive as you never know if the beds are going to be comfortable or not.
The weather was on our side and it was great to cook breakfast and our evening meal outdoors with the gas cooker, pots and pans and crockery provided. The toilets were impeccably clean.
