We couldn't fault this campsite at all. It was in a really good location, very peaceful and quiet with beautiful surroundings. The site was very clean and the toilets and showers were spotless every time we used them. The games and woodland area were perfect for our small children and kept them well entertained.

Lovely peaceful site

We really liked it here. The shower rooms were kept beautifully clean, the shop on site sold everything we needed and particularly good was the lack of dogs on site - too many times we've camped, only to have other people's dogs spoiling the experience as they were allowed to roam around freely, peeing on tents and barking at night. The site was quiet despite it being bank holiday. Possibly, if it were busier, getting a shower in the morning might have become difficult, but we were up early so it wasn't a problem. The location was also good, with Rhosneigr just a short drive. The newly opened Crown in the village also was very good, although probably best to book on a weekend.

Great family stay, very friendly & welcoming. Ample flat space for non electric pitch. Great facilities that were cleaned regularly & had everything that you need. Kids loved the Fairy Glen & excited to spot the red squirrels. Will definitely be visiting again

A lovely holiday!

The couple who own the site and incredibly helpful and kind. The showers and toilets are really nicely kept and clean and the site is perfect for a camping mini break. It is in a remote location so you are close to nature - we had a great time!

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

Great four night stay, peaceful location. Nice level field, few bumps, but plenty of space to position even on a busy bank holiday. Facilities in great clean condition. Plenty for the kids to play with and there's a little window that serves drinks and snacks. They let us borrow an electrical extension so ours could reach. Fire pits on site and plenty of them. There is also a fairy garden for the kids and there's red squirrels in there. Fantastic site would recommend.

Small Tent - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

This was my first camping trip in over 20 years so I was a bit apprehensive, but the guys that greeted us at check-in had me at ease. We were on a electric grass pitch which was perfect as the you were in the sun from sunrise to sunset (a big win for me). The site was small but big enough, if that makes sense, and very well maintained. The facilities were spotless and the on-site shop opened early in the morning and stayed open quite late and provided us with tea, coffee, beer, sweets and even toothbrushes. It really was a great little site.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesMay 2025

A lovely quiet site. Showers and toilets spotless. Lots of hot water. Having a site shop really handy. We were the only ones on site for our first two nights so managed to watch a hare having breakfast and a red squirrel. The site is really handy for accessing all locations on the island.

A great site, so peaceful

Lovely clean site. Big pitches - you do need levellers for a van as not quite level. Facilities spotless. Plenty of hot water. Onsite shop for families, really good idea. Hares and red squirrels were seen.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

A quiet and family oriented campsite. The site is very clean with good facilities, clean showers and toilets, and on site shop selling hot drinks, sweets, snacks and everything you need to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. This site is quiet and close to local shops, beaches, walks, not far from South Stack Light House. The staff on site are warm, welcoming and ever so helpful, we stayed here over Easter 2025, and we really enjoyed it and will be back again soon. Thank you to the staff on site for making our stay a happy one. Definitely will return again, felt so safe good place for adults and children alike.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

Lovely site, very peaceful. Unfortunately, we didn't get great weather, lots of rain and was very muddy. Car got stuck in the mud trying to get off, could really do with some investment in land drains to help with flooding but overall, we would definitely like to go back.

Quiet site with spotlessly clean amenities

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

We stayed two nights. The site was very nice, good facilities, nice showers, clean toilets. Phone and laptop charging facilities. Staff (owners?) were very helpful and kind. The facilities are made from wood and look very characterful. Only gripe is the septic tank gave off quite a stench and is unfortunately situated right in the communal area of the site. I heard a few other campers complaining about this too. Other than that, the location was a little far from everything, it takes about 15 minutes plus in the car to reach most places of interest, not a problem for most people but not perfect. I would stay again.

Site's response

I apologise for the septic tank. Despite plenty of signs around the site and in the toilets, some of our customers still flush wet wipes and other sanitary products down our toilets. Wet wipes are fibrous, containing plastic, and do not break down. They stick to each other and everything sticks to them, seriously impeding the normal operation of our sewage treatment plant hence the resulting smell. With a prevailing wind, this is not usually a problem. Some customers will have noticed that I attend to the sewage treatment plant daily with the sole purpose of fishing out the wet wipes in an attempt to sustain normal operation. Wet wipes are a serious problem at all scales of sewage treatment and I feel they should not be available for general public use.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Stayed at this lovely site in Anglesey the last week in August, got there on the bank holiday Monday and stayed until Saturday. The site is approximately 2.5 miles from the A55, through the village of Bodedern, It is a former cricket ground, so the pitches are flat with hardstanding and EHU pitches round the edge of the site, and non-electric pitches in the middle. There are 4 unisex bathrooms on site, with warm showers and they are kept really clean by the campsite staff. Also, there's a separate ladies and gents toilets in the block next to the showers. Mark (campsite owner) and his staff also run a small shop, where you can buy drinks and sweets, the staff will also put cool box blocks in the shop freezer for you. A few tweaks to the site would be allowing the showers to run for a bit longer as they are operated by a push button but last for about 20 seconds before pressing again. Wi-Fi could be provided at the pitch, for additional cost, although this is not a necessity, while we were there some people commented on the lack of Wi-Fi, as a lot of campsites now have this facility. An extra EHU point near to the entrance gate would be beneficial, instead of using a splitter on existing point, this would stop the electric from tripping out. Overall, this site is great, and when it goes dark the stars and the nocturnal wildlife are amazing to see and listen to. Would we come back here again? Yes definitely would⛺️

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

This was our first time staying at a campsite and we were so impressed. Lovely, clean site and the toilets were proper and always clean and shower rooms were great too. Having a little shop as well that sold necessities and hot and cold drinks was brilliant! They had a few large games for kids to play on and a fairy garden which we sadly didn't get to see cause our daughter was too scared as it was a bit darker in there. Having a reduced noise level after 9:30pm was nice too as that meant we had a decent night sleep. Would happily stay here again. All in all, a wonderful site and I feel like it has set the bar high for any other sites we may visit in the future.

This is a great site with loads to do with kids. Staff are really helpful and friend and the place is lovely and clean. This was mine and daughter's (6) first camping trip and we loved it even with high winds and will be coming back this site next year.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Enjoyable stay, friendly staff, simple but adequate facilities. A bit out of the way but not far from Holyhead. Showers should activate for longer as it was annoying having to push the shower button every 10 seconds, and each time you do, the shower stops for a second. Pitches were decent size with nice flat ground. Would recommend.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Lovely campsite in a picturesque setting with a fairy glen and an ancient dolmen in the next field! There is an onsite shop selling coffee and snacks, and lots of fire pits dotted around, so unlike a lot of sites, you can have a campfire! Toilets and showers were spotless, with lots of warm water, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. What more could you want?

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesAug 2024

Good value site a short drive from Holyhead docks. We booked it as we needed a campsite close to Holyhead for somewhere to stop after arriving in the early evening on the ferry from Dublin. We were welcomed on arrival by the friendly owner, who gave us the basic information we needed for the site. The facilities were all clean and well kept, and appeared to be quite new. An unexpected bonus was the provision of fire pits. Wood, kindling, and marshmallows were available at the site shop which was open at 7:30pm when we arrived, enabling us to stand around a campfire after our journey toasting Marshmallows. After around 10pm although there were still groups sat around their campfires, the site became very quiet. Would certainly recommend it as a convenient good value stop when travelling to or from the ferries at Holyhead.

Booked Druid's Rest just a week before, and arrived as Storm Lilian hit. Helpful check-in and willing help in getting the flysheet on when the winds/rain made it difficult. Whilst remote and inland, it's convenient to both sides of the coast. We'd arrived from a festival, so the facilities were truly welcome, charging points for mobiles, some mobile service cover, and fire pits were available. Situated adjacent to a field with a Neolithic burial ground, it's a cracking find and would consider a return when on Anglesey.
