Just got back from a weekend here and what a lovely little campsite it is. Loads of space on the multiple fields for you to pitch and still be a nice distance away from other campers. We stayed in the bottom field as it was the quietest when we got there. The walk from the bottom field to the showers is a little trek up the hill but wasn't really an issue. There are two ladies' showers and toilets and two men's, it wasn't an issue this weekend and I managed to get in without a wait but I imagine in busier months there would be a little bit of a wait. Overall, a lovely campsite with some amazing walks close by, surrounded by beautiful hills, and only 10 minutes from Keswick. Definitely recommend.

This was our first time at Low Hollows campsite. We absolutely loved it, great spot, fantastic views, great facilities, hot shower and clean toilets, staff very welcoming. Loads of space to pitch your tent ⛺ very well kept. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended 👌
Good location but requires more facilities.

Good location and stunning views. 10 mins from Keswick and good walks available from right on the site. Only 2 toilets and 2 showers for women and then the same for men - this is difficult because the site is big and there was at least 20 tents this weekend and this can only get worse in the height of summer. More of each are needed for this to be a 5 star campsite. Facilities were clean and a small indoor bit for waiting. There is a grass track to the lower fields which did become muddy in the rain - something to be aware of as could result in some difficulty in worse weather. I would return as the cost was so low, but if prices were raised, I would think twice and likely go somewhere else that provided more for the money.
Nice facilities ruined by selfish campers

The place was clean. The toilet facilities were a long way from camping, although some pitches were nearby. Good value for money. Unfortunately our experience was spoilt some what by the people next to us blasting out music & talking loudly until 2am both nights. Perhaps the site could be more vigilant in maintaining standards & setting them out to people on arrival.
Great spot, loved it here

For a basic campsite this is a good option. It was quiet and there was a lot of space. The toilets and showers are clean and plenty of hot water.

The only real issue I came across was that the whole site has to share 3 plug sockets, which isn't ideal in certain situations. Apart from that, the campsite is in a perfect spot to drive to any hike you want to go on. The location is beautiful surrounded by mountains and hills.
Great stay!

I hoped to have a quiet time but due to people arriving after dark and having no respect for others, I did not. The site itself is great with great areas to the main road. Nice sloping fields to add to the mountainous effect. I'd never return.
Perfect cheap getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this site, its very open plan - spread across 4 fields with a stream at the bottom of the farm and a view of Helvellyn. There's drinking water at the toilet block, along with very hot showers. The site is easy accessible by car just of the a66, but you never notice it's there. You are also on a bus route - Penrith to Keswick for £2 trip from Threlkeld. I would recommend this site to couples or families, there's enough space for everybody. There's 3 pubs with in 20 min walking distance, the walk along the Riverside to Threlkeld is a better path with 2 pubs. Food good at both, but the pub at Scales is just as good.
