Fantastic peaceful location
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 My son and I had a fantastic stay here, using it as our base from which to explore the southern part of the Lake District. The site's basic facilities were all that's needed and were clean and well maintained.
The location is breath-taking, and the approach road is an experience itself with horses and sheep free to roam.
The site feels super remote but is within a short drive of some amazing parts of the lakes.

Lovely rural site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 What a great rural campsite this is. A gem of a find. The facilities are excellent and the host keeps this place immaculate for a working farm and very polite couple. Many walks out on to the Fells. Will definitely be returning.

Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Oct 2023 I had a fabulous stay at Birchbank farm! The site itself is lovely, I camped beside the stream and enjoyed the sound of water on a night time!
The facilities are well maintained, this is only a basic campsite as advertised but has certainly impressed me. Staff are lovely, showers and toilets are cleaned regularly. There's an onsite fridge and freezer for use. And a tumble dryer if needed too!
Plenty of things close by e.g shops, bars and gas stations. I particularly liked how isolated you felt as this is located in the hills so plenty of beautiful walking opportunities to get away from the everyday hustle!
I would certainly stay here again! Oh and of course the cute on-site cats who welcome you with a big rub up your leg!
