Great site

Stayed here 3 years ago for a couple of nights and was great then, but there has been an obvious update of the facilities which is great to see. Spotless modern facilities, great hosts, lovely for canal walks. Local pub/restaurant The Crooklands which is definitely worth a visit. Would recommend booking site in advance, as it was busy this weekend - but that’s not surprising, and the cleanliness wasn’t impacted by this.

Brilliant little site

This is a lovely campsite in a great location, perfect for exploring or a stop on a longer journey as easy from the M6. Nice facilities with good attention to detail and friendly owners. By a canal walk and a few minutes from a good pub.

Lovely Little Site

Lovely little site, toilets and showers immaculate, gorgeous showers, 20p for 3 minutes which is plenty of time and totally worth 20p! Owner very friendly, great pub 2 minutes walk away, The Crooklands. Good base to explore , bus stops near the pub to Kendal etc.

Fab Easter Weekend

This is a gem of a site, very pretty, luxurious facilities. Paul is extremely helpful and a fab pub with excellent food within a 5 minute walk., we will definitely be returning

Fantastic shower and washroom facilities available, staff were welcoming. Crooklands restaurant and pub was lovely and just a few mins walk away. Lovely stay!

Lovely little site

Lovely small site with new facilities which are of the highest standard and the old block is kept impeccably clean too. Only stayed one night on route to ferry but would not hesitate to go back. Dog friendly and popular pub very close too.

Excellent stay at a well kept Park

Booking the site was simple, the location is excellent being between the Lakes and Dales. The Hotel restaurant across the road is a very short walk away and does great food. Paul the site Manager was very helpful and keeps a well equipped park spotlessly clean; well done!

Toilet and shower facilities second to none!

We will definitely come back here. What a pretty little site. Great size pitch, well laid out, across the road to a pub with fantastic food, lovely greeting from the man who checked us in. But the best bit was the showers and toilets, rainfall showers - since when did they form part of a camping weekend? First class!

Good campsite. Quiet and clean.

Great campsite. Peaceful and clean. Facilities were tidy and well maintained. The only flaw is that it is close to a slightly busy road.

Spotless and friendly

Excellent service and spotless amenities. Very friendly with free WIFI included and a local pub nearby. Will definitely be returning soon.

Fantastic campsite

This gem of a campsite is a must, facilities are very, very clean. Check in on arrival is so easy and you receive an email with all details needed. I am that impressed with this campsite that I have already booked another stay.

Lovely small canalside campsite

Lovely campsite with very friendly owner who keeps the site immaculate. Access to the canal towpath was just outside the sites gates allowing for easy pretty walks. Another bonus is the site is just off the motorway. Will definitely return should we be in the area again

Peaceful, relaxing stay

Lovely little site, ideal for a 2-3 night stay to visit surrounding area. Adjacent to a canal path for walking or cycling with lovely scenery. Spotlessly clean toilets/showers.

Perfect!

Exceptionally warm welcome, location perfect for walks and venturing the area. Facilities were modern & clean, showers are amazing! Grounds are very well maintained too, wouldn't change a thing and will be back!

Beautiful place to stay and very clean

It's was our first time in our Motorhome and we were made very welcome, everything was explained professionally. The campsite is beautiful and very very clean. We are definitely going back in the near future.

Lovely relaxing stay

Paul is a super host and runs an immaculate site. My stay was peaceful, and the shower and toilet blocks were kept absolutely pristine. I commented on how pleasant the essential oil diffusers were and Paul kindly responded to my request and sent me details of the oil. Paul is sensitive with his guests and strikes a perfect balance between being attentive and friendly, whilst respecting his guests privacy. The local canal is nice for walks and the nearby Crooklands hotel is perfect for food and drinks but do book as it is very popular. Care is needed if you walk to the hotel as the roads are quite busy at times.

Fabulous little find

Absolutely great site. Just off M6, so great for stopping off. We only stayed one night, but it's definitely a place you could enjoy for longer. Great to see sites of this quality allowing single night stays, it brings them repeat customers they otherwise would not have had. Lovely pub opposite the site and beautiful canal walks right from the door. Very friendly owners. Quiet site with lovely views and large pitches.

Lovely Little Acre

Great little site, stayed for 2 nights with the family. Lovely canal walks on the doorstep. Site all clean and tidy, well looked after. Owners friendly and welcoming. Excellent new shower block which was immaculately clean, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Hairdryer and nice touches like cotton buds, and mini emery boards in the ladies.

Fantastic

This really is a first class campsite. Took out small caravan for a two night break on recommendation from a friend. We couldn't have asked for more. 2 minutes off the motorway. 10 minutes to Kirkby Lonsdale and a pub across the road serving a great breakfast and fantastic meals. The site is impeccably clean. The toilet and shower block must be brand new because it's immaculate and is high quality. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand wash all provided. 20p for the shower for 3 minutes and it's a great drench shower as well. Can't fault this site, well be back as soon as we can.
