This dog friendly site is ideally located to explore the island, whilst being less than a five minute walk to the coastline. You can choose from grass pitches, hardstanding touring pitches and cosy camping pods. Relax at your pitch and try to spot the rare Sea Eagle, or grab the essentials at the onsite shop before heading out to climb Ben More (25 minutes).

About the site


This family friendly site is set on the Isle of Mull, less than a five minute walk to the coastline and is only accessible by ferry. Explore the island and take on one of the many hiking trails nearby, such as Waterfalls Scenic Walk and Scallastle Waterfalls, both just 15 minutes from the site. The site offers Spacious grass pitches with optional electric, suitable for tents and campervans and small caravans. There are hardstanding pitches with electrical hook up for campervans, caravans, motorhomes and RVs. The camping pods onsite are an ideal option for a more luxurious stay. With a double bed and a sofa bed that converts into another double, the pods can sleep up to four. There is a small worktop in the kitchenette, as well as a small dining area, kettle, crockery, microwave and small fridge/freezer. You have access to heating in the pods, and all the bedding and linens are included in your stay. Shared facilities are nearby. It is less than a 15 minute drive from Craignure, where the ferry will bring you from the mainland, and a five minutes drive from the village amenities of Salen. Guests are allowed to bring their dogs, with up to four per pitch, and there are some great dog friendly coastline walks around the site. Open fires are not permitted. BBQs are allowed but must be raised off he ground.

Site facilities include a shower and toilet block with accessible facilities available. You will find a washing up area and a laundry room with coin operates washing machines and tumble dryers. There is a small communal kitchen with a kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer and microwave for guests to share.

There are also fresh water points, chemical and grey waste disposal areas. WiFi is available onsite.

The site offers a small shop on the grounds with food and camping essentials. The closest pub is the Craignure Inn, serving local food and drink all day during the peak season.

Things to do on site and in the Isle Of Mull area

It is less than a five minute walk from the site to the beach and the river mouth. From the water's edge, you can see local wildlife in the water and the sky, including the very rare Sea Eagles. There are plenty of coastal walks you can take that are dog friendly and will offer some amazing views.

Just a ten minute walk from the site, you can enjoy the Glenforsa Cafe and Farm Shop that serves breakfast, lunch and pizzas on the weekends, all homemade with local produce. There are also lots of Isle made gifts, sweet treats and trinkets available from the shop. A great way to enjoy what the Isle of Mull can produce.

If you are looking for a bit more adventure, why not hike Ben More? There are several routes to the peak, but the most common starting point is located at Dhiseig (25 minutes) on the shores of Loch Na Keal. This route is considered moderate to hard and takes roughly six hours to complete.

There are many different terrains to take on when hiking Ben Mor,e but once at the peak, there are panoramic views of the island.
