Lovely peaceful site in fab location

This caravan park isn't the biggest, thus giving it a very peaceful vibe. When walking around with my dog it was noted that it was. very well maintained, ample dog bins and for the size of the site two toilet blocks was ample. The toilet blocks were pristine and warm.. The shower was only 20p and it gave you roughly 10 mins? which was ample Hot water was plentiful in dishwasher areas. Everything was well signed and you are given a map on arrival so it's easy to navigate Reception gentleman was polite, helpful and happy to answer any questions I had as a solo female traveller. which can be a bit daunting at times Location was great! Just a few minutes off the .motorway with everything that you relate Gretna woth accessible on foot. Designer Outlet , Anvil , Green and Gretna Inn!

One night at Braids

The briefest of stays, so we didn't get much chance to get a proper idea of the site and its facilities. As novices (first time in a touring caravan), most of our time was spent setting up and packing away. This however is where the on-site staff shone. The gentleman at reception was very helpful on arrival, but more so the following morning when we were having difficulty hitching the van. He took a lot of time to advise and assist. Professional and friendly throughout. Others staying at Braids were very friendly and helpful too.

Nice stopover on the way home

Overall, a fantastic place to stay, the only thing that let it down was the shower cubicle in the male block. There are obvious signs of damp around the wall where it joins the floor. This just requires a little bit of maintenance to bring it up to the high standard of the rest of the facilities.

Excellent location for our wedding day at Gretna. Friendly and helpful reception with everything we needed. Clean and great price for showers. Lots of shops and amenities close by. Excellent!

Nice site

Nice, quiet site. Very welcoming. Stayed as a stop off the Loch Lomond, arriving late but no problems, details of check in messaged to me.

Good location in Gretna

Good location, very quiet and near restaurants etc. Bathrooms are very dated, need a 20p for shower, however showers are hot and run for 10 minutes. Easy to check, reception full of information. Served our needs perfectly as a one night stopover.

Lovely clean site

Was only here for one night in route to another stop. Within walking distance to the town centre where plenty shops and food available. Site was clean and tidy and the staff were great when we checked in. Showers and water were hot so that was great.

Site was well kept

Site was well kept. Staff very friendly, pitches too close together. Otherwise, very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and pleasant, site was very clean and looked after. On the downside pitches too close together.

Cheeky weekender

Great location to Dumfries and Annan, also close to the Gretna Inn.

Does what it says on the tin

This is a well set up site. There are well positioned loos and showers, as well as washing and emptying facilities. Everything is kept clean and works well. Some complain about the 20p showers, but that is just an eccentricity - the headline is that the showers are excellent, hot water, clean and with good space to keep your clothes dry. Cheap at twice the price!

Lovely, well run site

Welcoming staff 😊 Well run and clean tidy site. Showers were good, clean but in need of modernisation. Co op, takeaways and pub with pub grub all within short walking distance. Designer outlet 12 min walk. Thank you

2 great nights bliss

Just had 2 nights here - weather was great, the site was very clean and quiet, facilities were spotless, the site is well laid out. Will be back.

Stop-off site

Nice clean site, close to shops and not to far off motorway.

Not too bad a site, but has issues

Site is okay, but I think the pitches could do with some updating. The toilets and showers are clean but again could do with some updating. Charging £30 per night and having to pay for showers and hairdryers is taking the micky a bit. We have stayed at cheaper sites and no need to pay for showers or hairdryers. Would be best suited to an occasional stopover. Shops are a short walk as well as some takeaways.

Upon arrival, nice experience. Quiet site, nice pitch. No complaints.

Nice and quiet

So yes, showers are 20p but that's for 10 mins and ample time. The place was clean and well maintained. When we got to the desk, I was given precise clear instruction on what to do etc. Pitches were a good size and well maintained. The site is just off a main road but there was little traffic and no noise at night. Great place easy to get to and comfy.

Stop over

Great stop off location on the way to England, reception very helpful and short walk to the pub and outlet.

Our visit

Lovely site. Unfortunately, the toilets and showers seemed tired and in need of updating. The gents toilet in the middle of the site smelt of stale pee. It was not new pee, it was bad drains or pipe work.

One night is fine

Ok for staying one night.

1 night stay

Great little campsite warm shower clean facilities. Could maybe cut some of the trees back in motorhome areas so it is less shaded apart from that great stay. Would definitely recommend.

Convenient stop over

Convenient stop overnight ready for NC 500. Friendly staff, clean facilities, quiet location, good pubs near by for food and shops/ fuel ready for rest of journey.
