What a brilliant site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2023 First time at this site and would definitely recommend.
Set in a beautiful location. Short walk from the lovely village of Birchover. Excellent facilities and suitable for all ages. Ideal base for Matlock, Bakewell and many other beautiful Peak District villages and amazing walks and places of interest from the site and in the surrounding Peak District.

Great location
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 A great site in a wonderful location. Only real negatives were that there didn't appear to be any drive over grey water drop for motorhomes, the shop was only open Monday to Friday and the toilet block was a bit of a walk from our pitch. Other than that, would visit again.
Stunning

Facilities were good with a choice of 3 different shower areas. On site shop, which opened up for us on Sunday as we ran out of gas. Very good information leaflet on arrival.
Can't fault them at all.
Our stay
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 Excellent site, well located for the Peak District, Haddonn Hall, Chatsworth House and Bakewell.
There are numerous walks from the site the most notable are Stanton Moor and the nine ladies. Two pubs within walking distance that serve excellent food - Red Lion and Druid.
We would recommend Barn Farm although we would imagine it to be a very busy site in the summer.
Beautiful campsite
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 Beautiful campsite in a beautiful location. This is our new local favourite campsite. The views are stunning and there are lots of walks directly from the site. In the village there are two pubs, but only had opportunity to try The Druid Inn, which I can fully recommend.
Nice, quiet site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 Nice quiet site. Friendly and helpful. Directions to the site were very helpful.
Only issue was that the pitches are not flat, so had problems levelling. I wish I had read the information sheet first as they provide bricks to help with this.
Also, if you're thinking of eating in the local pub, you need to book beforehand.
Lovely campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Sep 2023 Gorgeous campsite, ideal location as there are two lovely local pubs with in walking distance from the site. Food at both was amazing value for money! The campsite itself had a shop which was ideal and great value for money, made the whole stay very enjoyable! Nice walks too from the site and beautiful views everywhere you look.
Peace and quiet
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2023 Not our first stay here, but such a marvellous location and with all the facilities you need! Be aware the (well stocked and good priced) shop doesn’t open on a Sunday, but otherwise it’s such a scenic place to rest and relax - and the local pub isn’t too far to walk either. Will be back again.
