Bit disappointed Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Gravel) Jul 2023 Rather disappointed by our stay here. The facilities were excellent and spotless but we didn't think there were enough of them for the size of the site. Nice grounds but walking nearby was virtually impossible unless you're happy to access via a busy main road. Pitches tend to be opposite each other and, with many cars in addition to caravans and awnings, getting a motorhome into your pitch and parking exactly as instructed is challenging.
We were travelling with friends and had asked to be placed as close together as possible. This is not their policy despite us all being 3 more mature couples and happy to comply with strict onsite rules. We were placed about as far apart as possible and so to enjoy eating together we ended up carting chairs and food around the campsite. I have to say that if 6 people were in one vehicle or tent would this have been a problem?
Access is via a lane and at a bend you come to 2 enormous pillars. It would be helpful if there was signage to indicate that you proceed through pillars.
I feel this site is more suited to a car and caravan to explore the local area. Personally I found the gated entry and the number of rules rather difficult and will not be returning.

I am sorry the park wasn't for you, Susan. We understand that it wont be for everyone. I am surprised that you didn't walk the Castleman trailway, Hurn Forest or Moors Valley Country Park that are all accessible from the park without need of a car or accessing the main road. When you came we did try to get you and your friends near each other but as we were running a full park, the only pitches available on arrival where the ones we allocated for you. This is nothing regarding policy just logistics. We don't allow more than 4 people on 1 pitch so, no, we would not allow 6 in one tent.
The pillars you mention do not belong to us so we cant put signage on them, but there is a sign before as well as after them, that our customers seem to find with no issues. The gated entry is in place for security and is well received by the high majority of our customers who prefer that to a open access allowing free comings and goings without any checks. I hope you find a more suitable park in the future for your needs. Many thanks.
Great site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Gravel) Jul 2023 Friendly and helpful staff. Shop with a good selection of essentials. Bar on site. Very dog friendly including treats and doggy ice cream in the shop.

Perfect camping
Medium Tent - Non Electric Camping Pitches (Pet Free) Jun 2023 Lovely campsite! First time to an adults only site and would definitely recommend.
Onsite bar a bonus and a decent selection of beers, which were even better during happy hour at £4 a pint!
Facilities clean and not too busy. Southbourne beach nearby is a great find, not busy and everything you need for a lovely beach holiday.

Great experience
Camping Pod - Large Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Jun 2023 A beautiful setting, with just the right amount of privacy and space. Showers and toilets were always clean and like new. Great friendly bar area and visiting food vendors.

Chilled little gem
Small Tent - Electric Astroturf Pitches Jun 2023 First experience camping for us and found this little gem!
AstroTurf pitches with electric was our choice. We enjoyed the chilled, friendly vibe that the site offers. We took our own BBQ and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors.
Had a few drinks at the on-site bar - embraces happy hour! Pricing was really reasonable for an on-site bar. Food wagon was great also. Was pleased they offered vegan options, as this can be tricky with my diet.
Location good with nearby beaches such as Mudeford as well as large Sainsbury's 1.5 miles up the road. Lovely walks onsite.
Showers are clean and powerful, and water was always warm.
Would recommend if you want to go and totally unwind from lifes hustle n bustle.

Kingfisher Pod
Camping Pod - Kingfisher Medium Camping Pod (Dog Friendly) Jun 2023 Excellent site, peaceful and not cramped. The pod was all we needed and felt like camping without needing to pitch a tent. We were provided with all the equipment we needed. The toilets and showers were clean with plenty of hot water and we were fortunate to have beautiful weather.
The only thing I found difficult was having to climb over my husband to get out of bed but that couldn't be helped. We had a really lovely few days.

Thank you Linda for the great review and recommendation. With regard to the bed, you did choose the smaller of the glamping units. Next time try the shepherd's huts, the lodges, large pods or the yurt where there is space on both sides of the bed for getting in and out.

Lovely stop for our last night
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Camping Pitches (Pet Free) May 2023 We picked this site for being in reasonable proximity to our rental return point and weren’t disappointed.
It was good to try an off grid plot and this was in the best part of the campsite - a lightly wooded area at the back close to the small lake around which there was a mowed path.
The name implies it is a long way from anything; however it is just off the A31 and quite close to Bournemouth airport so was noisier than expected, although there was no intrusive noise during the night.
The on-site bar would be a draw as it is not in easy walking distance of a pub.
The facilities were great, particularly the continuous showers and lovely hot water and all very clean. All the instructions were clear and detailed.

Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Huts (Dog Friendly) May 2023 Amazing stay, so peaceful and calming. The bar is beautiful and the staff are lovely. Perfect location for a quiet and relaxed stay. Would definitely return.

Lovely campsite with excellent facilities
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Camping Pitches (Dog Friendly) May 2023 A very comfortable site with excellent facilities. The pitch was spacious and well kept. Clean showers and toilets and at least one block always open. A nice bar area. Good food options with the visiting food vans. Fantastic woodland area for walking dogs off lead directly from the campsite. Would definitely visit again.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric XL Hardstanding Pitches (Gravel) May 2023 Wonderful atmosphere. Lovely meeting on arrival, excellent space for caravan, awning and car. So peaceful. Lovely surroundings. Excellent showers and toilet blocks. So clean all the time. Brilliant wooded area to walk the dog.

Dog friendly and adult only campsite
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Gravel) May 2023 We were looking for a dog-friendly and adult-only campsite and Back of Beyond was only 40 mins from our home. It was nice and quiet, and just what we were looking for.
