About the site

This small and peaceful glamping site sits on a working farm in Cumbria's Eden Valley. The welcoming village pub in Winton is a ten minute walk away, while the market town of Kirkby Stephen is a five minute drive, with plenty of shops. There are three glamping pods, each sleeping up to four in a double bed and double sofa bed, with bedding provided. To keep you nice and cosy, there is underfloor heating too. For cooking, you'll have an equipped kitchen with a fridge, air fryer, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a small dining table for meals together. A modern ensuite bathroom includes a flushing toilet, hand basin, powerful shower and towels. Outside you will find a seating area, separated by small brick walls for privacy. You can even opt for a private wood-fired hot tub for the ultimate luxury evening! Bringing the kids? There is a large paddock adjacent to the pods equipped with goalposts for a kickabout with a ball, and enough space for family games. Should the weather turn, indoor toys and classic board games are free to use. Fresh eggs are sold onsite, and you can kickstart the day further with a Cumbrian Breakfast (for a small charge) using produce from neighbouring farms and local bakeries, with dinner BBQ packs and Date Night packs also available. If you're into al fresco cooking, there are fire pits for hire. You can reach the edge of The Lake District in 35 minutes for walks, outdoor adventures and charming villages. Take a scenic cruise on Lake Windermere or an Ullswater Steamer, climb Scafell Pike or visit Bowness and discover the World of Beatrix Potter. For more adventures, the North Pennines are just a 15 minute drive away, so don't forget those hiking boots! Dogs are welcome in Ryeland and Valais pods, with up to two pups allowed per pod. Please note that Leicester is pet free.

Each glamping pod has its own private ensuite bathroom and kitchen. Guests can also enjoy an optional hot tub, sauna, fire pit and BBQ, all for an additional charge. A central wood fired pizza oven is available, and there's also a table tennis table and a small games field for some family fun. The site also has eggs, breakfast and dinner hampers, date night packs and BBQ packs to order for an additional fee.

The local pub (The Bay Horse Winton) is a ten minute walk away serving home-cooked meals and a wide variety of drinks. The town of Kirkby Stephen is a ten minute drive away, with shops to stock up on supplies, cafes and pubs.

Things to do on site and in the Kirkby Stephen area

Just a five minute drive away is the town of Kirkby Stephen. Walk along the pretty River Eden, browse small independent shops, or enjoy a treat in one of the cosy cafés. There's also a heritage railway and lovely trails for walking and cycling.

Sizergh, a National Trust estate, is about a 40 minute drive away. This historic house is filled with centuries-old furniture and paintings, while the gardens are perfect for picnics. You can also take peaceful walks through the surrounding woodlands and wetlands.

An hour away, you'll find Windermere, the largest lake in England. Take a scenic cruise on the water, explore the bustling town of Bowness, or visit The World of Beatrix Potter, a top day out for those with little ones! Ullswater is a 50 minute drive away, with plenty to see and do, including taking an Ullswater Steamer on the lake, walking The Ullswater Way and visiting Aira Force Waterfall.
