Linwater Caravan Park is an award winning family run site situated on farmland, 30 minutes outside of Edinburgh. Tents and tourers are welcome with a range of electric and fully serviced pitches, with the option of grass or hardstanding. Onsite you will find a small shop, dog walking area, WiFi and a play park. It is set by the Union Canal for fishing, with Almondell and Calderwood Country Park next door too. Open year round!

Brilliant campsite on the whole. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the facilities were excellent. No site that has push button showers will score 5 stars from me but really can’t fault anything. Would come again no question. Thank you.

A lovely site. Some very impressive facilities, clearly quite new. The only disappointment was that my wife returned from the toilet, late in the evening and stated that there was not a single loo roll in the whole building. She checked all of the dispensers but found nothing.

The site is very well kept and showers etc are spotless. Camping kitchen area was fab with microwaves, hobs, tv and game system. l stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. There are some lovely walks nearby, the whole area is very picturesque. Downsides to the park, local council have left the roads in a terrible state of disrepair with potholes everywhere. We were sited next to the children's play area. We are in our late 50s and found it a little noisy at times. My wife went to use the toilets on two occasions and found toilet roll had ran out?

A warm welcome even though we arrived late. Excellent facilities, the toilet and shower block was spotless and cosy, there was a great wee shop. I highly recommend and we'll definitely stay here again.

One night stop off for us. Lovely welcome and gave us all information needed. Showers/ toilets were spotless! Liked the communal kitchen with tv and loads more. Will definitely be back in summer for a longer stay.

A one night stay (actually on the10th as I had to change original booking) as I had a very early morning pick up at the airport. Easy booking, friendly and informative staff and a lovely, modern, clean and warm toilet/shower block. Information was sent by email before arrival which was handy. I will definitely come here again if I visit Edinburgh as I’m told it’s easy to go via park and ride into the city. Only 20 mins from the airport too.

When we arrived, reception was closed, so there was a little confusion on where to sign in but once that was resolved, it was a dream. Come and go as we pleased. Very clean and nice shower block. The limited interaction with staff was very positive. One thing to note is that it's very close to an airport, so if you're a light sleeper, the almost constant planes could disturb you. We didn't get a chance to use the park but it looked fun for kids. Definitely will consider staying here again if we ever go to Scotland again.

Fantastic campsite! The nicest bathroom facilities I've ever had the pleasure to use. Only dropped 1 star for location, and that was only because the airport was a little noisy. But, I knew about the airport before booking, so I won't moan about that. A lovely quiet site, in a very rural part of Scotland. A walk or short drive to the stunning forth bridge and less than 8 miles from Edinburgh city centre. I will be returning, hopefully for more than just 1 night next time and possibly not in the middle of a storm.

It's a lovely site. Very tidy and the toilet facilities are lovely. They are an open and friendly site, you don't feel like you are being watched or monitored. Not far to Edinburgh, I will go again.

Simply outstanding. Facilities like new, high quality and spotlessly clean. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The site is well laid out and peaceful. Catch an Uber to the Park and Ride near the airport, then take the tram into Edinburgh. So good we are returning very soon.

2 nights in a VW camper. The site was great, Jean and Jim were really helpful. The kitchen on-site was a bonus. The showers blocks were great and about a 15 mins drive from the park and ride tram to city (40 mins to Princes Street) . The code is on gate, so there were no time restrictions.

An excellent location, a good pitch with an electric hookup. There was an amazing brand new shower block, with great showers and some essentials in case you ran out. The campsite kitchen was spacious, with added extras like an air fryer, but we had a takeaway delivered!

The campsite is a bit farther outside of Edinburgh, perfect for a calm stay. It's clean, calm and pretty. It has everything you might ever need, from a washing room to a kitchen, to heated toilets and shower, even a dog shower is provided. They have a little shop for small necessities on the site and you wake up to birds singing and bunnies hopping around your tent. Absolutely great stay.

Great campsite close to Edinburgh and the airport. This was a perfect stopover for us at the end of our trip. Super-clean, great facilities and lovely helpful staff. Be aware that you will hear aircraft noise as it's near the airport, but this is also one of its major advantages so not a criticism. The kitchen facilities were an absolute blessing after cooking in a van for 10 days, and the shower rooms beautifully clean.

A clean well run site. We stayed an extra night. When booking we didn't realise that it was so close to Edinburgh airport flight path, but I enjoy watching aeroplanes, so Brucie bonus there. Would stay again if in the area again.
