Clear filters Lively, fun site Bell Tent - Luxury 5m Bell Tents (Dog Friendly) Aug 2025 Positives. Lively friendly site. bell tent was spacious and comfortable. Restaurant on site had limited but good quality food. Good selection of drinks and evening entertainment. Yoga class was good.
Negatives. We would probably have enjoyed the site 20 years ago without kids. While the evening music was good, there was no quiet policy enforced as advertised. Music went on until 12:30 on the Saturday night and the resident DJ and crew then set up a bonfire with loud music and shouting until around 3 in the morning. Not great with young kids. The site gave a festival feel rather than being an eco site, not a compost loo in sight. Instead, portaloos that by the Sunday morning were overflowing with excrement. Showers were basic and there was one sink for the whole site.
The on lead dog policy again was not enforced, lots of off lead dogs equals lots of dog mess, not pleasant when most of the family end up stepping in it. Our dog was aggressively chased by an off lead dog which meant I had to sit with him in the tent while my husband took our son to see one of the bands playing, so a bit disappointing we couldn't enjoy our evening together.
Overall, we've stayed in better quality for money eco sites that are more family friendly and with much better facilities. I'd take a compost loo over porta loos every time. If they adhered to their own quiet policy and dog policy as written on the listing, it would be more family friendly, but a good site for friends and young couples.
Stunning views Recommends site

Magical camping experience in beautiful location Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Lakeside Pitches Jul 2025 Me and my partner loved every second of our little camping adventure.
The field and views where we pitched our tent were beautiful. The food was exceptional. The chef is a food magician. The bar was great, too! Lots of places too explore amongst some very lovely people.
We'll be back soon! X Jess & Luke
A fantastic site that offers more than most Recommends site
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Lakeside Pitches Jul 2025 A Hidden Gem with a Festival Vibe – Nesta Valley Campsite
If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with the vibe of a laid-back festival, Nesta Valley Campsite is the place to be. Nestled with a stunning view overlooking Chew Valley Lake, the location is nothing short of breathtaking. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, especially on weekends when the campsite comes alive with live music, DJs, and a fantastic bar that adds to the whole experience.
The facilities are simple but thoughtfully designed—compost toilets are eco-friendly and there’s a great sense of sustainability across the site. For a little extra luxury, the wellness facilities are exceptional, featuring a sauna, yoga sessions, massages, and more. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.
Speaking of exploration, the surrounding area is filled with lovely walks, and you're just a short stroll away from charming pubs and cafes. Whether you’re into nature walks or just enjoying a drink at the bar, there’s something for everyone. The food at the campsite is top-notch too—great quality, and the kind of treat you look forward to after a long day.
I loved it so much that I’ve already booked three more stays over the summer! If you want a peaceful getaway with just the right balance of fun and relaxation, Nesta Valley Campsite is an absolute must.
Lost in Bristol Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Lakeside Pitches Jul 2025 Having dropped off a friend at Bristol Airport, after a cycling holiday in Wales, I was intending to head south. But time was running short. 😱 I typed into a search engine 'closest campsite to Bristol Airport', up pops Nesta Valley Camping.
With reception closing at 20.00, I had ten minutes to spare. It was a simple, on-line process to follow to book 1 night's camping for one person, and within minutes, I had arrived (other sites are not keen on 1 night stays).
I was met with a friendly welcome and shown where to pitch my tent. The whole estate had a relaxed and friendly vibe going. There was one central hub with background music, a bar and a food stall.
Welcoming families, couples and solo travellers, the night was most enjoyable. I was up early to head south, and a breakfast of eggs on toast was well received.
A fantastic one night's camping👍⛺️

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Lakeside Pitches Jul 2025 What a beautiful location and a wonderful experience to stay at Nesta Valley.
This site is great. Food and drink is available and is of high quality. Music is played on weekend evenings. It has a festival vibe with a healing area. The massage by Bryony was fantastic.
We will definitely be back. Thanks goes to Luke and Jeff, and all those involved for creating a little utopia.
