We had to leave early Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 We arrived to the site to be met with a very unwelcoming greeting, as they had actually got the people in the party wrong for our visit.
The site itself was very basic but clean and tidy. The toilet block and showers need a lot of help and renovation. I had to leave early once the owner of the site met me in the morning, taking my dogs out for the morning constitutional and was criticising the fact that the dogs did their business on the grass and not on the 'dog walk' outside of the site. I had cleaned everything up but this still wasn't good enough. I felt that they are not a dog friendly site at all.
There was no phone reception and no internet.

I was sorry that you made the decision to go home early.
You were welcomed upon arrival at the reception, where we checked the details you had given. You were shown to your pitch, which you liked, and informed as to the facilities and the farm walk for your dogs.
In the morning, you took your two dogs on their leads, to use to a nearby pitch, you did clear up after them but it is not nice for the people using that pitch.
We make no charge for dogs provided they are well behaved and kept on a lead. There is a very pleasant tree lined walk for both you and dogs to enjoy.
Telephone and internet reception depends upon your provider.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 Absolutely lovely place, owners did everything they could to help. Will definitely be staying again. Showers were lovely, and everyone that visited were respectful and friendly.

Hidden gem
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Lovely quiet campsite. The kids enjoyed rounders every night with fellow campers. Facilities were great.

Lovely, quiet family site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 We had a lovely stay here. The tent field was large with plenty of space to play (if the weather had been better!) The facilities were good and clean and owners very welcoming and friendly. We will return as it is an ideal location for the east coast too.

Very welcoming, family friendly campsite
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 This campsite was fantastic for myself and partner's 4 night stay. The owner was extremely friendly, welcoming and easy to understand.
The facilities were well cleaned and complete with the right amount of toilets, showers and sinks in order to keep queuing to a minimum.
Electrical tent hook up pitch was perfect. We were located in the large 'family' overflow field although not a family ourselves we found it to be very quiet.
The local pub (The Board Inn) is a definite recommendation, servicing a wide range of pub classics and slightly fancier dishes.
