Great site which is clean and well maintained. The facilities are great for all ages with a lovely shop, outdoor games, indoor games room, playing area and great cleaning & washing facilities. We’ve had a lovely stay and the wildlife is great (we named the site Peacocks Pablo and Pedro 😂)

Clean, spacious. Hardstanding pitches need chocks. Great size pitches. Great separate adult showers. Check in closes at 5pm. Perfect for visiting Matlock, Bakewell. Small family touches of games and park are thoughtful. Just a narrow village to drive through so if towing, be aware. Will return!
Excellent facilities and wonderful spot

We spent three days here. We had an electric hook up for our touring caravan, water taps were right next door to us. Nice, big, spacious bays. Good showers, nothing to complain about, can only compliment this place! it is kept lovely, the grass was beautifully mowed with all the stripes!

Lovely, well kept campsite in heart of Peak District. Staff were very friendly, appreciated comparative early check in time from 12.00. Amenities very clean. Lots walks and things to do locally. 5 minute walk to village pubs. Great for families- with games, woods, peacocks, alpacas. Will be returning.

Everything about Barn Farm was outstanding, from checking in to departure time, the stay and facilities was 2nd to none. I was on camping field one which is a sloping field, but possible to find level pitches at the bottom end or a couple at the top. The peacocks as beautiful as they are wandering the site but they don't understand the concept of bedtime, lol. A 5 minute stroll from the site fetches you to 2 pubs, The Red Lion & The Druid Inn. Behind The Druid Inn is Rawton Rocks, open to the public but be aware that it can be very dangerous as there's no safety fences and sheers drops. My recommendation is if you have kids, don't go up there.

brilliant site with fantastic views and walks, staff are super friendly and it's just a short hop on the bus to bakewell or matlock. Will most likely be back at some point soon but might enquire about the lodge.

Our trip to Barn Farm from Friday to Sunday was the first time we have been away in our recently converted Campervan. We had the best time and found the site to be super welcoming, really clean and with all the facilities we could think of requiring during our stay. Toilets and shower facilities were really clean and there was no mess or rubbish anywhere to be seen on the site. The alpacas near the bottom camping field and the peacock wandering around were also a real treat! The location of the site was perfect with great walking routes all around and two lovely pubs only a 5-10 minute walk away. Will definitely be coming back - thanks, Tom & Leah.

We found Barn Farm Campsite for a last minute mini holiday in the Easter holidays and were so pleased we did. It is a fantastic campsite, which retains the 'natural feel' of campsites of old. We arrived to a very friendly greeting, then were guided towards the possible pitches that we could park up our little caravan. There was a real flexibility in terms of which pitch we went for and how we chose to position it! We were on our first outing with the caravan (having always camped of campervanned in the past) and had a degree of trepidation due to the apparent 'rules of caravan positioning' that some sites seem to insist on. Not so here with common sense being allowed to prevail. We located ourselves on a hardstanding pitch that had lots of green space all around it, meaning it felt like camping and not like we were in a car park (which is what put us off some campsites). We had electric hook up and there was also a dedicated tap on the pitch for those that have fancier vans than us! Nonetheless, this was a very useful addition with no walk for water needed! The site was immaculately kept with all grass kept short and tidy - in fact, I couldn't be more impressed with the expanse of beautiful rolled, striped grass fields awaiting future campers (it will be a shame to let people onto them!). The facilities were plentiful and cleaned/checked regularly. There is a little games room, not that we needed it as the weather was fantastic. There was also a little outdoor games area with swing ball and badminton, along with a great children's play area (great for younger children - ours are getting a bit big now!). The area itself is beautiful with plenty of lovely walks from the campsite, many of which were highlighted in a handy folder of 'things to do' kept at the reception. They also provided printed walking routes and maps of the local area, which we made use of. There was a regular presence of staff around reception, as well as a little shop that stocked lots of basics for both camping and eating. Overall, it was a great couple of days and is a site that we will definitely return to in the future. Thank you.
Lovely campsite.

The only reason we have given facilities a 4 star is the pitch we was on was probably the furthest pitch from the toilet/shower block(bit of a hike). There was a small washing up station near our pitch with hot water and waste water facilities so could be an idea to put a couple of toilets there . I am sure this has been considered by the owners so maybe in the future. Other than that it is a clean tidy well kept site set in beautiful countryside .

Great site great for adventure walks and lovely people running the site had no problem whatsoever the only reason for a 4 * on facilities was it needed a toilet down near the electric hard standing and grass pitches other than that great place and looking at booking again soon.

A genuinely lovely site. The only negative is the distance from the touring pitched to the toilets. We were at the far end, so I suppose this made it a bit worse. Only a real issue in the early hours.

A very nice stay, a warm welcome and very helpful in discussing walking routes. Great, clean and warm showers. It's a large site, with plenty of room as it was a quiet period.
