Nice site but very busy Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 The site is undergoing renovation and had some lovely new showers. The staff were very polite and helpful. The food was good, fab pizza's.
The only downside was that you're very crammed in, everyone we spoke to said the same as well. The road is also busy all the time, I know that can't be helped, but I thought it would be quieter through the night than it was.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 We absolutely loved our stay The Gate Hangs High and will definitely be back when we next visit the Cotswolds.
It was really peaceful with plenty of space, and we ended up opposite a field of cows which made a lovely view to wake up to every morning!
It’s a great base for exploring the Cotswolds too. Most places we wanted to visit were around a 30-minute drive away, with some good supermarkets near by in Chipping Norton.
All the staff were genuinely lovely. The facilities had everything we needed already, including two large showers, with rain shower heads! Toilets were always clean and available as well. It was really nice having the pub onsite too with a lovely large beer garden. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the menu looked really tasty.

Great little site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Booked this last minute, small site, new shower facilities which are nice and clean.
At the back of the pub, so great little play park for the kids and great food. There is an industrial site but noise stopped around half 5. There is a lot of smell too from the industrial site when they're working, but it didn't bother us as we just came back after the workers were done for the day. I think if you were wanting to spend your day at the site, it would bother you more. But, we couldn't argue with the price, great value for money.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Very nice campsite on the site of a pub that does great food. It’s definitely great value for money, and offers nice hikes around Hook Norton. Toilet facilities are shared with the pub, which can make it quite busy at times (we went in peak summer)

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 The location is excellent for travelling the Cotswolds including Diddly Squat farm, Bourton-on-the-Water etc.
It is located behind a skip hire company which can be noisy at times, but it isn't so bad and you do get used to it. The pub was lovely and got a lot of customers which says something. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return and recommend.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Really lovely location. Good for new walks and planning pubs along the route.
We only lived half an hour away but was ideal to get there after people finished work and easy to set up!
Staff at the pub amazing and nothing was too much.
Facilities good and clean!
Will be recommending and returning!
Nice and quiet campsite
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Very nice and quiet campsite. Pub food excellent. Toilet and shower clean. It took a while til the water was warm and the pressure was low but enough for a quick shower.

Amenities really clean, everything you need for a stay over. The pub itself is really great! Beautiful building, brilliant staff, very welcoming and the locals are lovely too! Facilities are exactly as advertised. Fairly basic but works well with everything needed for a short stay. Will go back.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 We had a lovely stay at this campsite. It's in a beautiful, peaceful, and quiet area surrounded by fabulous countryside. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Basic facilities that were exceptionally clean and very well maintained. We would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway to relax in beautiful surroundings.
Good & bad Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2026 Good - lovely pub, good food, great greeting & introduction to site.
Bad - only 2 toilets which ran out of toilet paper, so none for the morning & they weren't checked or cleaned at all during our stay. Rubbish bins overflowing.
One night stopover
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2026 £20 a night. Lots of space, camping field a slight slope but you can find more levels bits within it.
Pretty busy and popular. 24h access to pub toilets. 2 new showers at side of pub. Good food and generous portions. We stayed with no EHU.
Decent play park and plenty grass space for the kids. No complaints, enjoyed our stay 👍🏻

Don’t bother! Motorhome - Hardstanding Electric Pitches Jul 2026 The hard standing pitches are basically a crushed rock surface. Other people had parked their vehicles on it, the pitch was unclear!
The location is great, but the site was like being dropped into a rough area! There are two new showers, nowhere to hang your clothes and no hot water. We never saw any member of staff older than 25 and there just didn't seem to be any rules. It was a magnet for large groups of people with their friends having a great time, while their kids ran amok.
We won't be returning!

Give it a go, you won't regret it. We chose here as we were going to Diddly Squat Farm Shop and this location is only 30 mins away from there, so perfect for us.
