Wonderful site.

Tun Cae was perfect. Small and friendly with a wooded partition down the middle which made it much more sheltered and private. Lovely views of the hills with sheep and cows. The showers and loos and was up area were spotless, helped by other respectful campers. So close the Aberdaron and Porthor beaches. Fabulous!

My first stay!

Lovely site, only 12 pitches, really peaceful and quiet, great facilities, if I’m in the area this will be my go to site!

Aberdaron 2026

Amazing campsite, great location, dog friendly. Owners were amazing and the food counter was amazing. Really clean and tidy. My only suggestion is that there should be separate toilets and showers and maybe more. But overall amazing experience. Looking to book again next year

Absolutely brilliant site. The owners are great. Excellent food served on the site from Thursday until Sunday. Can't wait to go back.

Ideal little camp site

Great little camp site with lovely character. The kids loved playing in a safe environment. The facilities were clean. It's a very short drive to Aberdaron which has a lovely beach, a handful of amenities. We spent the week beach hopping as the weather was great and there are lots of great beach options nearby. Would definitely stay at the campsite again.

Good location

The location was brilliant and within a 20-30 minute gentle walk to the beach and shops. However, there were only 2 toilets which were also in with the showers (with shower curtain) so if the showers were being used, people were unable to use the toilets. These were also in the same hut as the sink. The owners did leave cleaning items for people to use. There was a food hut which was popular, with tables to the front selling good, reasonably priced food.

An absolute gem!

An absolutely beautiful, quiet secluded Campsite we went to with our three children totally safe to let them run around, et cetera. Food truck was brilliant. The hostess was fabulous and very helpful. Will definitely be back. No mobile signal whatsoever, which was absolute bliss. Beautiful beaches in walking distance with a nearby small town with a local shop and bakery. Do not hesitate to book here.

Look forward to seeing you back next year 🤩 Also for some internet guests can sit in front of the food truck where the starlink reaches. We will look into gettIng internet as BT have neatly installed fibre.

Good location but in need of better facilities.

This site is in a lovely location, it took us a while to find it on the local narrow winding roads as the signposts are very small. The views over the fields are very nice and the pitches were nicely sized. The staff who run the site and operate the on site food hut were very helpful and they produce excellent, reasonably priced food. There is only 2 showers/toilets and they are not separated into mens and womens. Phone signal is almost non existent which is something to consider for most people.

Nice and clean stay with a wonderful host

We booked for 3 nights for our first ever camping experience and we were not disappointed. The stay was amazing and the facilities were also good. We enjoyed our first camping experience thoroughly. We struggled to find the campsite at first as Google Maps lead us to Spar but the owner was kind enough and came to guide us to the campsite. The food at the food truck was superb. No need to eat outside if you are not cooking. You have everything within the campsite. The only drawback is lack of Internet as our mobile coverage was extremely weak. As we went on weekday we needed Internet and Mobile for office work. The only think that the owner should add is the Wi-Fi facility. But I'm sure no one would want Wi-Fi if they are going for camping break. But, its different for working professionals like us. We need to be connected all the time due to nature of our work :-( We will definitely go again to stay with this campsite. Also thanks to Campsites.co.uk as booking with them was breeze and they have some good campsite options available.

Great for a couple of chilled days.

Before arrival, we assumed this site would be in the middle of nowhere with nothing closeby but we were delighted to find we could walk to the beautiful, quaint seaside village of Aberdaron in just 25 mins. The site was small and set in lovely countryside which catches the sunshine. The grass pitches are spacious and the site is well maintained. There is a food outlet and although we didn't use it, it was popular with other guests and non guests. The facilities areuseable but basic and roughly built: washing up area, two hand sinks and two toilets with electric showers. It lost points with us due of the toilet/shower situation. Because the toilet and showers are in the same cubicle, we had to queue in the mornings to use the toilet behind other guests who were queueing to shower.. There were a few crossed legs! A separate toilet would be more ideal. We had our 2 small dogs with us too and it was safe for them. Overall, a nice site and we enjoyed our stay, it was quiet enough for us to relax with our books and the sky during the night was beautiful.

Lovely quiet campsite with excellent onsite food options

Lovely, small, quiet campsite, with excellent home cooked food options from the on-site food truck. Clean facilities. The only downside was that the toilet and shower were in the same room. There were 2 of these. Great advice from the owners about local places to visit.

First time at the site and had a great stay. Pitches well spaced out, clean. Toilets/showers and washing up facilities cleaned regularly throughout the day. Food truck is fab and welcoming. Diolch yn fawr!

Lovely campsite

Lovely clean site, very welcoming, greeted on arrival. Little toys and bits left out for children. Shower and toilet were very clean. Beach is a 10 minute drive. We did get a little lost finding the site but people in surrounding area were lovely and pointed us in the right direction. Would definitely stay at this site again.

A peaceful gem

This site was the best find of our holiday so far. A small, secluded, gloriously quiet place. No big field, no caravans! We almost had the site to ourselves but even if it had been full, because it is so small and with a lot of space, it’s charm would have been the same. The facilities were small, simple but clean. A 30 min walk to Aberdaron but that distance made it feel exclusive! We would have liked to stay longer if we hadn’t planned to move on. Thank you.

Great location & beautiful viewd

The host was very helpful & friendly. The compost was always clean. The shelter was very useful, with a kettle to use. I would recommend to family & friends.

Grassy, sunny spot

Lovely, friendly, grassy site. Large pitches which have been set out to provide a community feel, but you could easily position your van/tent for privacy. Helpful staff and an Hoover to borrow! Amazing field cafe onsite with lots of choice for veggie, vegan and gluten free. It was a fair distance to the beach, but a lovely walk and our 4 and 6 year old walked there and back easy enough. Aberdaron is beautiful, it was our first time there and everyone we spoke to, in the run up, couldn't speak highly enough of the town and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful sandy beach, great for castle and waves and amazing bakery.

Lovely small site. Friendly owners and great field kitchen. Nice walk into village and great beach. Just what we needed for a few days away.

lovely weekend away at tyn cae

just back from a great weekend at tyn cae and it was brilliant! great little campsite! food at the hut was amazing! Cleanliness and accessibility was very good (my wife is above knee amputee) the owners are friendly and accommodating. would definitely stay again👏

Fantastic

We camped (tent) here in April 2026. This is a small and beautiful site nestled in the stunning Welsh countryside, and a short drive up from Aberdaron. We would definitely stay here again - thank you / diolch yn fawr.

Lovely, peaceful site in a great location

Due to a bad weather forecast there had been a few cancellations and the site was very quiet - we were so glad we stuck with it as it's a gorgeous spot! We tucked ourselves in by the belt of trees and dodged the showers, managing a great coastal walk followed by an evening round the fire pit (which we took with us.) The couple who run the site were there to greet us and were lovely- really friendly and helpful. The 'field kitchen' had just opened when we arrived so we ate from there and it was delicious. Open 5-8pm Fri, Sat, Sun, serving burgers, tacos, loaded fries etc- including veggie & vegan options. Facilities are just what you need: an outbuilding with a mini fridge, sink for washing pots, 2 handwashing basins and 2 little rooms each containing a toilet and shower(20p). Very clean and well-maintained. Short drive into Aberdaron, but it only took us about 20 minutes to walk in along quiet lanes. There's a chippy, pizza and ice cream place, cafes, Spar and of course, a lovely beach (dog restrictions during holiday season). Loads of gorgeous walking along the coastal path and the site is very dog friendly. We loved our weekend at Ty Cae and would definitely recommend it to others who also prefer that slightly quieter part of the Llyn Peninsula!
