About the site

The site is set on the edge of Fineshade Wood, a deep, dappled wood in Northamptonshire, and just 30 minutes from Peterborough. This site is ideal for a stopover where you can stretch your legs and take in the nature right on your doorstep, all just 20 minutes from Corby town, where you can find shops, cafes, restaurants and local parks. A quiet, back-to-nature escape with 82 pitches, for campervans and motorhomes only. Please note, there are no shower facilities available onsite, there are toilet facilities accessible via a key code 24/7. This woodland, with its mix of ancient trees, was once part of Rockingham Forest. A royal hunting ground for William the Conqueror, who claimed it as his own after the Norman Conquest of 1066. For centuries, kings and nobles rode through these trees. Today, the woodland welcomes everyone. Tucked between Stamford and Corby on the A43, Fineshade Wood is considered a hidden gem. Onsite, there is a handy cafe called Grounds Cafe with seasonal opening hours serving a selection of hot sandwiches, tea, coffee and homemade cakes and gelatos. Dogs are welcome to join you, but must remain on leads. Open fires are not permitted. Only gas BBQs are allowed, but they must be raised off the ground.

Fineshade Wood Campsite's season normally runs from April until October. Sign up to alerts and we'll let you know when bookings re-open.
