Amazing

First time camping with my 11 year old . Clean showers and quiet rules states quite time after 10pm and this was kept to which I really liked .

Had a great stay felt very welcome and everything was easy.

Fabulous Campsite

We loved this campsite. A short distance from Rye and a bus service that connected the two, albeit not frequent and not late. The bus stop was right outside the property. The last bus from Rye was at 7, but you can get a taxi apparently. We didn’t need to. Very quiet and peaceful. We slept well. Lovely to hear the cows and the birdsong in the morning. It is off a busyish road, but that didn’t bother us. Amenities were great. Enough toilets and showers for the site’s capacity and they were clean with enough toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels. There was also a kitchen area for washing up, with washing up liquid and recycling bins etc. Harriet, who checked us in, was warm, welcoming and informative. Thank you Harriet. 😊

Great Site

Clean and tidy facilities. Good location with nearby pub. Easy 20 min cycle into Rye.

Beware noisy road

Nice little campsite just outside Rye but be warned, it is on a very busy road which is noisy, also the flight path into Gatwick. You are not allowed to play music at anytime, which is a shame as I feel it loses some of its atmosphere. I could completely understand this rule if it was in the depths of the countryside, but considering the road noise, seems a little at odds . The toilet and shower facilities were good and kept clean. Most people seemed to use it as a stop off for one or two nights which it is ideal for. Nearest supermarket is privately owned and a tad expensive, shame there isn't a little local shop nearby for the essentials such as bread and milk. Rye is beautiful, also visited Battle which is another lovely town.

Lovely site

Had a lovely weekend stay at The Hare and Hounds campsite. Very clean , friendly and helpful. Great facilities. Did a lovely walk over the fields to Rye . Would definitely recommend .

Harriet was so welcoming and friendly. The site was clean and well managed with ample showers and loos, which were always well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely site near Rye

We stayed there for 2 nights in our camper and loved it. One of the best small, friendly sites we used and we camp often. Good size pitches, really nice showers, good information about surrounding area, good facilities. Even had fridge, freezer and microvave! Fridge/freezer for esencials only but we loved it during this heatwave.

Great place to stay, peaceful and relaxed , just made us feel very welcome, great local winery, highly recommended.

A lovely stay at Hare and Hounds

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Hare and Hounds. We immediately felt welcome. The site was clean and well organised and a pleasure to stay at. You can hear traffic at times but it didn’t bother us. We plan to visit again with friends so we can explore this wonderful part of the country.

Nice campsite

A very nice campsite with sweet personal touches. The shower & toilet facilities are kept clean and tidy, but with only one shower & toilet in both the men's and women's could be very taxing at busy times! We stayed mid-week when it was very quiet and not a problem at all. Good washing up facilities with thoughtful provisions. Good local bus service in to Rye & lovely country walks direct from the campsite.

Great place to visit Rye

An excellent site. Facilities excellent, everything spotlessly clean. Plenty of space. The only drawback for me was the road was a bit too noisy for me.

Great place to stay & explore Rye

Great place for a stay to explore Rye. Lovely 45min walk across fields full of sheep & lambs to get to Rye. Good bus service also. Facilities perhaps older, but well kept & clean. Would recommend.

Great little campsite, walkable to Rye. Facilities very clean. We had a great series of nights here with friends.

Good campsite, only downside is main road next to the fields

Very good facilities and space. Noise at night from road is the only downside.

Great location

Brilliant location for exploring Rye and surrounding areas. Small campsite which is beautifully kept. Pitches are quite close together but didn't prove an issue for us. Facilities were kept very clean. Only negative was the size of the showers. They are very small with no room to dry yourself and could do with updating.

Lovely weekend away

Fabulous location, marvellous host, and great facilities. Everything you need for a weekend away. Short walk to Rye, lovely little town. The Horse and Cart a short walk away, does a mean Sunday roast.

Fantastic site

Beautifully kept site. Lots of toilets and free showers, washing up area was well laid out. For us, the only downside was the road noise but would come back regardless.

A friendly host. Within one hour drive to the ferry/Channel tunnel to Calais.
