Gorgeous area

Lovely site which has been recently acquired and taken over by a lovely lady who makes sure everything is ok for your stay. The site is close to Criccieth which is a quant seaside town with a imposing raised castle. WiFi is the best we've had in our caravaning four years! And we tour a fair bit. Traditional sort of site ATM but it'll be interesting to see what the new owner does with it. Defo a go back to site 👍

Couple week away

Just over 1 Mile walk down hill to Criccirth. A neighbouring camper said no bus orctaxi to bring you back to the site. Site only half full (if tha during our stay. Dish washing room always clean. A few times now toilet toll in the ladies toilets. Shower in ladies toilet block (only 1( was nice and big. 4 additional showers at the rear of the toilet block - not as big There needs to be a mop and bucket in each shower in order to clean up and remove excess water off the gloom. Lady warden very friendly and approachable. Pitches of a good size Chinese takeaway and Spice Bank both reasonably priced The Goat Inn (10 min drive from site) reasonable too. an.

Amazing campsite! Definitely recommend!

Criccieth was a lovely little town with plenty to do and the campsite is a short 20/25 min walk away. Unfortunately, there isn't path all the way but you're only walking on the road for a smell section in a 30 zone. The campsite facilities were extremely clean and had everything we needed! We were spaced out perfectly and didn't feel like we had people on top of us, which was lovely. We were surrounded by luscious fields with sheep and cows and the overall site was perfect! There were plenty of water stations around camp and the playground was perfect for children.

Family holiday

We booked 3 pitches. The owner was so helpful that we were pitched really close together. Great location, clean facilities and close to Criccieth town. I would recommend it for a peaceful family holiday.

Lovely site

The site was in a lovely location, could just see the sea in one direction and mountains in the distance behind. East access to Criccieth, Pwllheli and Porthmadog. Pitch was decent size, reasonably level and we had electric hookup. Part way through our stay there was a burst water main and no water onsite. Despite the toilets inevitably getting a bit "ripe" while there was no water, when we woke the next morning after water had returned overnight the facilities were immaculate again. Showers were hot and good pressure. There was a play area which was used by lots of the young families onsite. The only downside was the incessant barking from the dogs at the neighbouring farm through the day, but they were quiet overnight.

Sunny flat site

We stayed during a hot sunny spell and there is very little shade on site ( new owners are planting trees). It wasn’t busy midweek but there is only one washing up sink which probably gets busy. Plenty of shower and toilets. The walk to town is mainly on the road and Criccieth is small.

Pleasant Stay

Enjoyed 2 nights here owner very helpful . We were lucky with the weather as it was extremely warm but as the site is raised we always had a breeze keeping us cooler . Spacious pitches with great views of the surrounding countryside . More signs on the facilities would be an advantage .

Nice enough!

The campsite was nice enough but we were put on the last plot which was a stones throw away from the toilets and shower block. Very convenient but also not a good view 😂. I do think that they should get rid of plot 5 as it’s just too close to the toilets/shower/washing station. Was a nice enough stay but not great.

What a shame you didn’t mention this, we could have offered you an alternative pitch. We have had a lot of guests who have liked the convenience of this plot - but it’s good for us to be aware that it’s not to everyone’s taste.

Lovely welcome

Flat camp ground, short grass plenty of power and water. Easy access to all pitches. Play space children and dog friendly, would like one more washing up space.

Gorgeous campsite

We had a wonderful stay with you, perfect location and outstanding weather. The facilities are very good and as first time motorhome users we had a lovely experience. Non and Aled were welcoming and friendly and suggested things to do and places to visit. Criccieth is full of lovely places to eat, drink and enjoy.

Criccieth

This weekend was our new puppy, 14 was old First outing after having her last injections, the site was perfect , quiet just how we like it .got to choose our own plot , plenty of running room for the puppy and little friends who have permanent pitch made Betsy feel really welcome and played with her. Site was very clean toilets and showers were spotless . Washer, drier , and fridge freezer for anyone to use , Not to far from criccieth town Center with plenty of shops and cafes to choose from . We had a take away Indian from the spice bank , it was as good as I’ve had at home from my fave restaurant. All in all a fantastic touch couple of nights away thankyou for having us One little gripe Wi-Fi could have been a bit better

Lovely stay, very clean

We had a lovely stay here. Some of the cleanest and best kept campsite facilities I have seen! Bin area was clean, as were the bathrooms and showers. It was nice to have indoor washing up facilities and a communal fridge. We weren't sure where or how to rent the firepits but luckily there was one on our pitch when we arrived. There is a garage very close by where logs are available. Thank you.

Great site

Lovely site - nice and quiet when we were there. All the facilities you need, and large pitches. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Couldn’t fault it - would come again.

Peaceful

Only a down hill walk into Criccieth, there are shops & beaches, we had breakfast at number 46 picked up a few gifts, had a marvellous ice-cream at Cadwaladers, people so friendly, the host at the campsite is lovely, ask her anything she’s happy to help, theres a playground at the site, we’d give it 5 stars

Beautiful stay!

It was such a great stay. We were lucky that we had the whole site to ourselves as we went out of school season. But it was clean and had such picturesque surroundings. There were cows and sheep in the fields next with babies, which my son loved! They had a kids play area, an enclosed dog field and also picnic benches and fire pits. They even had things like washing liquid in case you forgot. We got the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and she was so lovely! Made the effort to make sure our stay was perfect and we couldn’t fault it at all. We will definitely be back and as much as we enjoyed having the site to ourselves it would be unfair to not stare it with others.

Good, no frills, campsite

Spacious campsite with space for caravans, campervans and tents. The welcome was friendly and helpful. Toilet and washing facilities were clean and adequate, although might have been a bit cramped if the site were more full. There is a large field for the children to play with a swing and climbing frame. Probably the main limitation was that there was a bit of a walk from the main camping area to the toilet block. Also, the Wi-Fi was poor from our camping area.

We're sorry that the distance to the shower block wasn't ideal for you. The facilities are located less than 100 metres from this pitch, but we appreciate that convenience means different things to different people.

Really good location

Really great location, really good facilities. Brilliant pitch, nice and level and really big. Would have scored all 5's but we booked a firepit for all 3 nights prior to going. Only got it once on the second night, despite ringing and leaving messages. The firepit is part of the camping experience, so felt quite let down. We did inform them that we had booked it but still didn't get it. Apart from this, very good campsite.

I'm sorry things didn't work out for you with the firepit, and apologise it hadn't been made clear to you that the firepit hire which includes logs and kindling is for the one night. As a result, we'll be reviewing our hire policy to ensure this is made clear to all guest at point of booking. We do hope you'll book again, and if you do, we'll make sure you get a complimentary firepit during your stay.

Beautifully kept site

This site is a beautifully kept site, about a 15 minute walk away from Criccieth. The hosts were extremely welcoming and explained everything upon arrival. A welcome text was also sent prior to arrival, which was useful. The showers were hot and the toilets and shower areas were immaculate. Wi-Fi is available on the site. It was a little hit and miss, but then again, so was my own phone signal. Our pitch was spacious. The only niggle I had was that I think a farm nearby may have kennels as there were dogs barking throughout the night, and we could hear these in the distance. The site is excellent for families and children (we travelled as a couple) and is very safe with a large play area. On the last night, some children were bouncing a ball for a good couple of hours until gone 11pm near the toilets, and the sound resonated, but this is down to the etiquette of the guests and not the campsite. If I had young children, this site would be perfect.

Great owners lovely site level hardstanding pitches very clean toilet block showers Great easy walk into criccieth with dog 20 minutes nice shops etc beach very clean and parking easy near beach for motorhome looking forward to returning in July would recommend to anyone looking for value for money wonderful views
