Fantastic first time experience

My son and I recently took the plunge and went on our very first camping trip! We definitely felt like we had "all the gear and no idea," but we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm, friendly welcome at this lovely, cozy family-run farm. We were even provided with a helpful map to guide us to our pitch. The non-electric field is quite open, which meant it was a bit breezy while we were trying to set up our tent—and that breeze stayed with us for the duration of the trip—but it didn't dampen our spirits at all! The highlight for my son was undoubtedly getting to pet the farm animals; it made the trip truly special for him. Plus, the views were absolutely amazing—the perfect backdrop for our first foray into camping. The facilities were adequate and conveniently located, though one small tip: the showers run *really* hot, so my advice is to get in and out as quickly as possible before the temperature climbs! Overall, it was a brilliant first-time experience, especially considering the fantastic value for money. We had a wonderful time!

Friendly working farm

I loved this little site owners are very friendly nothings any bother you can see and pet the farm animals lots of places to go for walks and your only 10 miles from Scarborough and 13 miles from Whitby I'm sure we will be back, thank you for making our say enjoyable

Relaxing and peaceful

Lovely campsite, very relaxing and close to lots of national trust walks and there are some historic landmarks and hidden gems within walking distance. The views are amazing. I’d definitely recommend Brent Rigg Campsite to anyone looking for a friendly and scenic campsite.

Canny little find

Fab find on a working farm with funny little resident goats, along with sheep, cows, horses, pigs, chickens, bunnies and cats. Steph was very friendly! Lovely little hut with essentials like eggs, bread and other basics. Rustic toilets which do the job and functional, quirky showers, one with baby change facility. Sea views. Didn’t venture off the site so unsure of any facilities/local pubs nearby.

Quiet working farm, basic (very) but clean facilities, close to Ravenscar coast path walk to Robin Hoods Bay, nice hotel bar and restaurant at Ravenscar.

Great camp site

Bent Rigg Camo Site is in an excellent location for footpaths and walks.. Close to Ravenscar if you want to go for a coffee or tea. Good facilities. Helpful and welcoming staff.

First time in campervan

Lovely welcome and pitched our camper for our very first time . Great site with lovely views . It’s a working farm providing hookups, toilets and washing areas and drinking water to fill your tank . Best to use google maps and type in name and address of farm , gives much more accurate directions

Definitely will come back again

Great weekend away, nice and quiet area with a view of the sea. Waking up to all the farm animals and an atmosphere that makes you happy. Toilets, shower, and cooking appliance with a fridge freezer if needed. Nice walking paths for dogs, but due to high winds, we didn't explore much of the area; we definitely will next time. Great communication from Julie. Highly recommend.

Sea view

Stunning location. Having breakfast watching the sunrise over the north sea was pretty special. We enjoyed our stay, would definitely return.

Really nice campsite.

Peaceful, lovely sea view

Site was nice and peaceful on a working farm. Two very basic toilet sheds with a shed in the middle with freezer and charging points. There is a family size shower/toilet room which had plenty of hot water and a separate shower in a shepherds hut style building.

Our first ever camping trip...had a lovely time.

Seaview and cuddles from farm cats

Booked this site along with my 2 children, 12yr and 8yr old boys in our campervan, Cliff. We had the choice of 2 available pitches when we arrived, so chose the one with the sea view. What could be better than opening the rear doors of your camper and seeing the sea? Just perfect! The pitches are huge, so plenty of space for Cliff and our awning. EHU at the pitch, and drinking water just nearby. The toilets and showers were clean, and chemical waste facilities too for those with facilities on board. On arrival we checked in at the little shop, which seemed to have a good selection of groceries and treats too. The owner was welcoming and gave us all the info we needed for our stay. Location wise, the site is around 20min from both Whitby and Scarborough, so great for exploring. The site was super quiet on an evening and throughout the night. We were lucky to be visited by the farm cats throughout our stay, and had plenty of cuddles both in our camper, and also whilst sitting outside on our camping chairs. I'd definitely recommend to families, couples, solo travellers and couples, and will book again.

Beautiful stay

Had a lovely time, so peaceful. Beautiful scenery and great location, the staff were lovely and friendly. Only thing that was wrong, was the queue for the toilets, with there only been 2 toilets. Other than that everything was perfect, so we definitely will be back xx

Great location

The good. Beautiful location. Lovely view from camp field over sea. Quiet farm site friendly owners and cheap fees. No so good. Only two toilets, one male and one female. A new shed shower but cold as bottle gas had run out. One small sink for washing up. One outbuilding shower and toilet. Nothing clean if you are fussy about that. Not enough facilities for the people on the site at least 30 adults and 20 children in the camp field alone. Good job we had a camp toilet! We would stay again but in a quiet time and if hopefully the owners will invest more thought into the facilities. This could be a winning site!

Would visit again

Lovely site with great views and able to see the sunrise over the sea. Facilities basic, but clean and sufficient for a few days away.

Lovely farm stay, beautiful surroundings

Nice quiet location, stunning views. Working farm, lovely farm shop to buy burgers, bread, eggs, milk. Not far from Ravenscar. Not far from beautiful coastal beaches.

Fab campsite with incredible views

The most beautiful view across the sea. Facilities were good, hot showers and a shop open at convenient times. It was peaceful but in a lovely location and not long to get to Whitby. We also walked down to Robin Hood’s Bay to see the seals which was great! Fire pits are allowed which our son loved.

Beautiful location.

Beautiful location with stunning sea views, with the rural fam feel that we loved. The kids especially loved the super friendly cats who came for frequent cuddles in our tent. The facilities were sufficient but there was often quite a wait for a shower or toilet being that there's only two on quite a large site.

Brilliant location for Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood Bay

The owner was very pleasant and helpful gave me a site map on check in. Only stayed one night. Bathroom was very clean. I wanted to stay another night but it was full. Really quiet and plenty of room. I loved the fact you could have a fire pit. Would definitely recommend. It's a bit windy but everything was perfect.
