Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Loved this campsite - stunning views and a relaxed vibe.
The dogs being around made it feel friendly and was a nice welcome back from a days walking, as was having hot water for washing up and showers.
Clean, quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. Would definitely come back!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 The best camping trip ever…
Lovely place to camp at! Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 The place was very nice, showers and toilets were appropriate and comfortable, the owner was very kind and polite and it's a very cosy spot to camp at.
We stayed at the high hill and we saw the horses across the small river, very scenery and beautiful. No one bothers you so it's great to keep your privacy, definitely recommend. Keep in mind that it's better if you go on a car as it's about 10-15 min drive to the nearest town. The location is in the middle of a few activities, so it's not bad if you're looking for a chill spot which is a bit secluded from everything!
Friendly relaxed campsite Recommends site

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Loved our stay at Moss Side Farm.
Had a great pitch at the top of the more wild pitches with a beautiful view. For a few days, we had only sheep as neighbours but when more people arrived, it still felt quiet and peaceful. Facilities are simple but were clean and water was hot. Loved that we could walk to nearby village for our supplies from a butcher, bakery and grocery shop and a game of pool in the pub.
Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 My friends and I stayed at Moss side for one night and we forgot to bring tentpoles. Louise saved the day for us by letting us stay in her caravan for the night, the campsite is brilliant and facilities are fantastic!
Certainly will consider coming again Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 The site is tidy and clean, with different areas for tents, campervan or others. Will certainly consider coming again.

Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 A great night at Moss Farm Campsite. We were greeted upon arrival and got to pick our pitch.
Set up camp and took advantage of the provided fire pit. My partner and I really enjoyed walking around the farm looking at all the animals.
Beautiful and relaxing weekend stay Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 I had such a lovely stay on this working farm. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience feel really personal.
I especially loved seeing the animals roaming around—it gave the place so much charm and character. It's a proper working farm, so it's not pristine, but that's exactly what makes it feel so authentic and down-to-earth.
The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing countryside break. I'd definitely recommend.
Lovely Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Just what we wanted. We stayed up at the top which had a lovely view and gave the wilder feeling we like. Highly recommend.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Quite basic facilities on a working farm. We received a friendly welcome.
The site and surroundings are beautiful and we will definitely return here. Would recommend this.
Lovely, little farm campsite Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 A lovely, little campsite if you are wanting peace and quiet and no kids!
The owners are very friendly and welcoming! Facilities are basic but I love the farm vibe with all the animals, there are horses, sheep, cows, ducks and chickens! We had a great time and met some lovely people, definitely will be back, as there are also only about 15 pitches, so perfect size for what we want.
Excellent view Recommends site
Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Mar 2025 Lovely people and friendly dogs.
Near unbeatable view from where you pitch your tents.
Great camp at Moss Side Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Mar 2025 Great overnight stay at the campsite. Really good location just outside of Coniston.
Very quiet site - all you could hear was silence and nature. Very relaxing night after a long hike in the day.
Will be back.
Lovely 2 night stay hiking in the lakes Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Feb 2025 Myself and my partner love hiking in the lakes and were looking for somewhere close to our next adventure.
This is a lovely little campsite. It's a working farm with sheep, cows, chickens, ducks and a cockerel alarm clock as the sun rises. The farm dogs were lovely and enjoyed playing fetch. This campsite is rustic with everything you need, a nice hot shower with a changing area. Clean toilets and an area for pot wash. There were two fields and we stayed by the railway pods they offer (we didn't see inside these but they looked cool!) The main field is towards the back of the farm, there is a lovely view from both.
Really great that it's open all year round. Lovely owners who greet you, leave you to your own devices but are always available.
You can walk to the local village of Broughton on Furness in 30 minutes and there is a direct straight line route out the back of the farm.
It is the most quaint village with a post office, bakery, delicatessen and gorgeous pubs. We really recommend the Old Kings head, really good service, a fire and delicious food.
We hiked 3 Wainwrights in a day, Brim Fell, Dow Cragg and Old Man of Coniston and it was an easy 20 minute drive from the campsite to the Walna Scar car park.
Decent value for money for what you get and in comparison to what others are charging, it's fair and reasonable.
Highly recommend Moss Side Farm and we will be back soon. Thank you!
Great campsite Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jan 2025 All round great campsite with facilities and incredible views.
Cold but happy Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Dec 2024 A really nice couple running a traditional farm campsite. We stayed in our campervan and even thought the weather was a bit harsh we had a good time. On the last night, we moved into one of the "railway" huts which has a wood burning stove and that was a great experience as well. I would suggest these huts for anyone staying over more than a couple of days.
We are planning on returning as its a good centre for hiking all over the Lake District.
Nice campsite with a friendly owner Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Really friendly and accommodating campsite owner. We were later arriving as M6 closed and we needed to register for the Windermere swim event first. Owner was fine about us leaving at 5am the next morning to get to the event.
