Beautiful campsite

Extremely accommodating, even with some technical issues with my booking. Very friendly owners and I felt most welcome. Let me choose where I pitched as it wasn't busy and I had the most amazing view and a very peaceful stay. Showers and toilets were spotless and I am normally very fussy about cleanliness! Would come again definitely! Thank you.

First camping experience. Close to Alton Towers

First camping experience between 2 days at Alton Towers, it was absolutely amazing. A lovely person explained to us all the details at the beginning, crystal clear. Quite close to the park, everything was cleaned with comfort. There are no restrictions if you need to take your car to do Shoping. Only comment, you need to checkin at the latest at 7h30 which put some pressure when the park closes at 18h, but I do understand that it is not easy to stay longer. I strongly recommend.

Good location

Perfect location for our planned trip to Alton towers. Beautiful, quiet and clean site. Easy, no hassle check in/out.

Lovely chilled site

After a hectic day at Alton Towers this was the perfect place to chill out and relax. Staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities are modern and spotless and there was plenty room for the kids to run around, a pretty perfect stay all round!

Great camping experience

Friendly staff to welcome us on arrival. Views from our pitch of Dovedale were 10/10. Clean and well maintained facilities. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the stay (even the dogs). Plot 90

A lovely peaceful stay

Came on a solo trip with my dog. Had a super relaxing and tranquil stay. Everyone on site was lovely and super helpful. Would highly recommend for a chilled stay. Great little dog walking field with some lovely views. Lovely to see the sunrise in the morning too.

Great site

Friendly people. Nice big open spaces. Site is well maintained by the owners. Good facilities. Love the fact that fires are allowed because you then get the real camping experience. We will definitely return again.

A wonderful stay at a lovely site

We stayed for a long weekend. A lovely site with beautiful views. The facilities are very modern and clean and the wardens are extremely friendly and helpful. It's a great site and will be returning.

Friendly, caring owners

We loved the security at the site - a huge metal gate with a keypad entry. It is close to Dovedale which is a lovely spot just off the A52 between Ashbourne and Leek. The welcome was very warm and friendly and you can tell the owners want their guests to have a good time. When we stayed it was busy and the smell of nearby campers smoking really took the edge off the trip. We wanted fresh air and instead we got the smell from 2pm onwards. It must be really hard for site owners to police this.

Thank you for your review and we are indeed fortunate that the campsite is in a lovely spot. As you said it is impossible to know if our guests are smokers or non smokers and we are quite fortunate that there are fewer smokers now than there used to be. I do wish you had popped over to tell us of your issue, as we did have a few pitches still available and I am positive that we could have found you a spot away from the smokers. We are always happy to try to resolve any issues, wherever possible.

Great camp great service

Was fantastic, a nice walk to thors cave. The camp was lovely, staff was lovely, the lady leant me a electric pump which was very kind of her and great facilities.

Perfect stay!

We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend and were extremely happy with everything! Well kept site. Friendly and easy check in. Excellent pitch and location. Great, clean facilities at no extra charge. Great location. We couldn't have asked for anymore. We would definitely return.

Stunning location

Had 2 nights in a tent. No charge for a small gazebo to offer some shade on a hot couple of days. Staff very friendly. Lovely dog walking field. Would defo stay again.

Amazing place

Lovely place to camp, close to Thor's cave, dove dale and the stepping stones. Large pitch area with clear toilets, showers etc .

Only stayed one night since I was visiting a '40's Weekend' nearby.

Lovely site, good facilities

Very warm welcome on arrival, with clear instructions on everything. Large well marked pitches. Bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water in showers and a hair dryer even. Very easy camping.

Lovely campsite

We had a lovely stay at Common End Farm! The lady who checked us in was lovely, it wasn't too busy and the facilities were clean. We were pleasantly surprised to find a hair dryer. Great location close to places such as Dovedale.

Lovely setting

Lovely flat pitch, clearly numbered but a bit confusing to find as I felt rushed checking in by her phone ringing! Perfect facilities, very clean and sufficient numbers of toilets, showers, washbasins and cubicles with basins in. We used a provided picnic bench to sit on to watch the sun go down as we didn't have room in the car to take chairs. Only there 14 hours overnight but would use again.

Lovely site

The site is quite close to some lovely places, Ashbourne, Ilan and Dovedale. The dog walking field was very good, we thought the pitches were a bit close together. Also, if you were in the far field, the toilet block is a long walk. But overall, very good.

Site was lovely and near all the things we wanted to see.

Enjoyable stay

This was our first time at staying over with our campervan, therefore nothing to compare this site to, but we were impressed. Clean facilities, owners very polite and helpful. Nice walk to the local pub. Close enough to Ashbourne. Would return.

Good for the money

The campsite was nice and basic, and pretty much all we wanted and needed. The field was nice with a lovely view. The showers (free) were nice and warm. I was concerned with the number of showers given how many pitches there were however, it wasn't an issue at all. The staff were nice and friendly, the campsite was quiet and it was lovely that people could have fires.

Functional and friendly

Friendly site, a bit bigger and more crowded than I expected from the photos. Good, basic services. No extra charge for shower, good washing-up area. I would have loved to have access to a kettle to make hot drinks.

Decent site

Would of benefited from Wi-Fi as service in area isn't great.

Camping 1 night

Great stay will be back! Highly reccomend.
