Cracking campsite

Great stay to break a long journey. Fantastic views. Jean & John, the hosts, were friendly, helpful & informative. Spotless facilities in good condition. I hired a fire pit with kindling & logs, money well spent. Thoroughly recommend 💫

What a little Gem!

What a gem! The wardens were so welcoming, the facilities - from the toilets/showers and pot cleaning, to the little shop and fire pit services were spot on. Oh, and the small 'dog walking field' where there was a mowed path (to ensure no real muddy paws) was a lovely touch too. Only spent a long weekend at Common End Farm but we will be back.

Fantastic

We absolutely loved it here. The staff couldn't be more helpful! The kids loved it, the dog loved it, it was just the best experience (the deer were an exciting touch too).

Great location.

Great location for the Ashbourne and the peaks. Facilities were top notch, clean, warm showers. Great welcome on arrival.

Lovely, calm campsite

Lovely, calm campsite - friendly clean and not too many rules. Lucky to find this campsite open the weekend before Easter. They had opened early due to good weather. Very quiet, and they were happy to let us spread out a bit. No silly rules about awnings needing to be fully attached, so happy to let us pitch our tent next to the van for overflow. The chickens clucking around were a delight.

Top tier

What an amazing stay! Cleanliness of toilet block was top tier and the hosts were as lovely as can be. Had the whole campsite to ourselves which was awesome. Thank you Common End Farm for a lovely stay! Would definitely recommend x

Great location

Chose here for our starting point for our walk to Ilam and Dovedale (12miles) and a good choice it was. Facilities were clean and working and the staff were very helpful, especially helping with a jump start. Definitely recommend visiting.

Lovely site

Great location just a short walk from a lovely pub, facilities clean and really close to all pitches, staff really friendly and very organised. Beautiful views. Make sure to bring cash if you want to purchase anything during your stay. Would definitely return.

Peaceful and great wardens

We have just had the best couple of nights at Common End Farm. Had easy access to public walk ways, nice plod down. Reasonable priced fire pits and wood for us to enjoy our marshmallows. The site was ran so well by the wardens, a great couple and welcoming 😀

Wonderful stay

This was our first stay and without doubt, it won't be our last. The site is quiet, friendly and welcoming, in a fabulous location and perfect for a few nights away. Can't wait to go back next year.

Lovely, well maintained fields, clean facilities

Great little campsite in a great location to pop out for amenities, National Trust and countryside walks. The fields were well maintained. All facilities were clean and had hot showers and sinks for washing up. We'll definitely go back!

Great stay

Great stay, fantastic hosts who are very helpful.

Fantastic site!

We stayed for a little weekend getaway and had a lovely time. The site is well organised, very clean and has nice facilities. We also hired a camp fire basket, which you can't always do on some other sites. The wardens were extremely friendly and helpful.

Spotless facilities and fabulous views

Beautiful site with amazing views. Toilets were spotless. The fire pit hire made it even more special.

Fab site. Well managed, clean facilities, handy little shop. Good location.

Great stay

We had two nights at the site. Staff were very welcoming and answered all questions. Great location. Showers were clean, great facilities. We didn't have electric hook up but they let my son charge his iPad up late one evening and brought it back to us when it was charged, which put a great smile on his face. Would recommend! 100%.

Excellent campsite

Our first time camping and this site was brilliant. Very clean, excellent facilities and the staff could not do enough for us. Thanks for making our stay brilliant will definitely be back.

Mini break with my girls

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, very friendly and welcoming. Great pitch space and facilities clean and tidy. Loved that there is somewhere to pop Karla-pup for a walkies away from other campers. We even stayed an extra night. Will definitely be back and recommending to family and friends. Lovely weekend

We really liked the campsite, it was small and friendly and close to lovely walks. We walked to Ilam village which was approximately a 8.5km round trip. Dovedale to the stepping stones was another 20 minutes, it was beautiful. The hall and park is lovely to take dogs and children, there is a cafe and tea rooms. The toilet and shower blocks were clean at the campsite, and the wardens Jo and Ricky are very helpful. It is 10 minutes walk from a local pub, we only had drinks but it seemed very popular for food. The views are great from the pretty field. We will definitely return.

lovely site

Only stayed for two nights but what a restful amazing break. The site managers were lovely and the site was one of the cleanest I have used in over 40 years. Great site. Fabulous people, what more could you ask for.

Beautiful and peaceful

We adored staying at this site, all the facilities were beautifully clean and working well. The shop on site was very handy and we had fresh eggs for breakfast, which was beautiful. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The view of this campsite was breathtaking, especially when we were lucky enough to see hot air balloons in the evening, will definitely be coming here to visit again.
