About the site


You'll be staying in the beautiful Wye Valley, down a country lane where farm animals are your main neighbours. Ross-on-Wye is a short drive of just 5 miles away and Hereford is 10 miles, so you can reach everything you need. The luxury tipis offer privacy and space for five to sleep with an outdoor eating and relaxation area. You'll have a king size bed, plus a few singles. Glampers are given all cooking equipment needed and bedding/towels. There are six tipis in total. It's an ideal break for families who can all lay out breakfast bits of locally sourced produce to snaffle in the morning sunshine. The tipis offer running water and electricity, alongside cosy interiors. Groups are welcome, by prior arrangement, but will need to book the entire site for their break, sleeping approx. 24 people.

Site facilities include four hot showers and three toilets spread across buildings. Please note that the facilities buildings are not heated. There is also a washing up area and running water, but there's no WiFi or mobile phone service. Bathroom facilities are exclusively for use by the tipi guests.

The nearest shop is West End Stores and Post Office, which is a ten minute drive. For a bite to eat, The Moody Cow is a ten minute drive away.

A private fire pit is located outside each tipi here, along with complementary marshmallows - BBQs are not permitted. There is also an honesty shop onsite selling fire wood and kindling.

Check-in is from 3pm and you must vacate your tipi by 10am on your last day.

Dogs are welcome on site for a small fee.

Wye Glamping does allow group bookings (classified as a booking with more than 3 adults from different households) by prior arrangement. Large groups and same sex bookings staying will have to book the entire site, accommodating up to approximately 24 people. An additional deposit of £400 must be paid five days before check-in to secure the booking. If a complaint is made by a neighbour then a deduction of £100 will also be made. Sorry, stag parties are not permitted.

What's nearby

Explore the Wye Valley on your doorstep, packed with lush forests, an abundance of wildlife, cycling trails and much more. Pay a visit to a number of National Trust owned attractions nearby including the picturesque walled gardens at The Weir Garden or the moat surrounding Brockhampton Estate.

A secluded pebble beach is located a mile from the site, or spend your day canoeing the River Wye.

Create your own open air cinema onsite with the projector provided, along with a selection of films to enjoy too.


A note from the site themselves...

We are a family run dairy working farm and will be sharing your stay with a small herd of dairy cows! All of our tipis are fondly named after cider apples as you'll be staying in the apple orchard itself.

We strive to be as 'green' as possible and work hard to have as little impact on nature as possible.

Things to do on site and in the Hereford area

Glamping guests can relax on site in the evening with an outdoor cinema that allows you to down popcorn and see your favourite blockbusters.

During the day, explore the River Wye where you can swim or paddle in its calm waters. Canoeing, paddleboarding, foraging and a pizza oven are just some of the things that you can do on-site. You're also able to start a campfire and roast marshmallows or tell stories, and a BBQ is permitted so that you can rustle up tasty dinners.

Stepping out into Herefordshire, walking in the Wye Valley is immensely popular. Don't miss exploring the historic towns of Ross on Wye and Hereford and there are walking trails that wander through ancient forests and caves. Cycling is a lovely way to take it all in, too.

National Trust properties are all around. The Weir Garden, just outside Hereford is a favourite with its walled gardens and air of mystery. Make time also for the Brockhampton Estate which offers 687 hectares of space and a moat.
