Pleasant campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Pleasant and mostly peaceful campsite with some nice views and convenient location for Salisbury city centre and Stonehenge.
There was some loud music in the distance on our second (Friday night) which I think was coming from an outdoor concert at the nearby Salisbury Racecourse which ended at about 11pm, so we still got a good sleep and some of the 80s/90s music they played we liked, so it wasn't too disturbing in the end. Friendly owner of the campsite too. And lots of free blackberries to pick!
Nice quiet atmosphere, unfortunately overpriced for families
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 There were five of us plus our dog there for one night in our family tent. There are several walking paths around. For example, the pub and shop in the village is 2.5km away, and the path to Salisbury is 4km away, both easy. A large, slightly sloping meadow. However, it becomes relatively flat at the bottom, making it better for tents there.
There is one shower and three toilets. Everything is very clean. The shower takes time to warm up. Since showering is more frequent in the morning, it remained cold for us. At 59 pounds, it was our most expensive site of the holiday. I think the basic fee of 22 pounds for a pitch including two people is fair. However, the fact that each child costs an additional 10 pounds and the dog 7 pounds makes the fees far too high, in my opinion, given the rather basic facilities.
You have to take your rubbish with you. Dog waste bags are available for disposal. When washing up outdoors, your back is to the chemical toilet tank, which you can unfortunately smell.
Conclusion: It was a lovely evening for us with a pub visit, and the weather was also on our side. But the cold shower in the morning, the smell when washing up, and the overpriced price for families unfortunately dampened it.

A hut also there for rainy weather. Very close to Salisbury.

The field was perfect quiet with facilities everything you need for a quick stay. Showers and toilets were clean and even a freezer if needed.

Facilities were good, clean, shower warm and good flow. Hopefully they have a maximum capacity as I could see it would be quite busy for the facilities if there were more people than we had.
Love the fact you can go up to the race course and watch the horses thunder by, which is really close.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2025 We really enjoyed our stay at Bake Farm Campsite. Great location for walks, straight from the site.
Facilities provide everything you need, including Wi-Fi, charging and small freezer for ice blocks.
The shower (hot) and toilets were always super clean.
Lovely countryside campsite

Convenient location just outside of Salisbury. Instructions for arrival were clear and site was easy to find. Met lovely welcoming host on her rounds and got to say hello to horses in the neighbouring field too.
Very clean and tidy kitchen and toilet facilities, and several nice picnic benches to take in the countryside view.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan pitches Aug 2024 Lovely, quiet back to basics campsite. Shower and toilets, but you have to take your rubbish home. Nice all weather building with usb, free Wi-Fi and QR code for surrounding area.
Owners are welcoming, liked the "find a pitch" and park up 😃 Salisbury is about a 50 minute walk through fields, beautiful meal at the Haunch of Venison in Salisbury and a fabulous wander around the cathedral. Will visit and stay at Bake Farm again.

The hosts were very accommodating and helpful, it was nice they came and introduced themselves and made sure we knew where everything was👍🏻 you can scan a QR code which gives you all the information you need for the area.
Toilet/shower facilities very clean, we will definitely be back, thank you👌

Its a large field with a single shower and two toilets. Therr were around a dozen other campers, if it was very busy the facilities might not be enough.
Great location for visiting Salisbury, Park and Ride about 10 minutes away.
Good value.

The rain shelter is very good. Do not hesitate to ask the owner for hot water in the showers because it is not put on automatically.
The website gives a lot of information and that's very good!
Peaceful stay
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 We had a nice stay at the Salisbury Campsite. It was easy to find, the facilities were clean and comfortable. There even was a little shelter where you could cook, eat or sit together and even charge your devices. I recommend.
Finally found just a normal campsite!
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 This campsite was just what I was looking for, simple, big and easy going. Also very cheap, just staying a night. I definitely would recommend this for campers with a vehicle, otherwise you will need a taxi.
What would be nice to have is just a printout of a map with the surrounding paths and the footpath to the nearest pub and village, because I did not find it on foot. I do not use a smartphone, so a QR code is not very helpful.
